I love this store for orderliness and products. But they don't have shopping carts anymore. So we're just supposed to drag our stuff around the store? A customer told me it was because of criminals. The cashier said, they're all being used. Yeah right. I saw about 3 people with carts( guess that's all of them!) The rest of us had to become a dressing rack to hold our items. There has got to be a better solution to fend off crime. Why should the good customers be penalized? Ross has a solution with the tall pole on the cart that can't leave the store. I'm ready for a police state with all these criminals taking over everywhere and businesses just surrendering. read more

Bought a jacket here, and when it was too late discovered that in one sleeve, a button was missing and in the other, it was broken. Also, in February, this was the only men's jacket we could find in the store. $60! read more

I was in the store today. The items were some what limited, I think they're short staffed. Anyway I found what I was looking for. It was a very stressful day for me but thanks to the cashier my day felt better! The cashier who's name was jessica I believe, she helped me a lot! She went out of her way to achieve excellent customer service. I got to admit I've been here before and most of the time some cashiers are grumpy. I'm glad that she was here today. I took my granddaughter to find her a new swimsuit yesterday. Standing in line, we got close to the front, next in line for an open register. I leaned forward to see if there was a casher at the lit up register. A large do with a woman who seemed to have no control got up and growled at us and started to lunge. The owner sort of turned around. The customer behind me commented that the dog needed a muzzle. Why are dogs in stores. Not a service animal. I called later in the evening and the manager was hostile, interrupting, nasty and defensive. I am going to call today and let them know I won't be shopping there. read more

I was here visiting from Chicago and needed some things for my kitchen. The manager, Paul, was observed yelling at some of the staff and then I saw him yelling at two security guards at the same time. It was very disturbing to see this kind of behavior. This store needs a real human being at the helm, not an egotistical authoritarian monster. I'm glad I don't live here or shop here. read more

It's a shame That i have to drive to the Albuquerque TJMAXX because every Time i shop here at the Santa Fe location, I feel very uncomfortable with the way the older woman manager. She is always talking down to her employees . What a shame, I realize she's been there forever and thinks she has the right to treat her staff like second class citizens, but what I don't think she understands, is that the long time customers know who she is and we really don't like to hear her unprofessional loud talking and unprofessional behavior towards her staff. Bad. cooking I am 74 yrs old. I have a broken arm and am in a sling. I have shopped at this store many times and have spend plenty of money here,and have never had this kind of experience. I was in the store looking for a heavy weight cooking pot,as a gift. I found what I was looking for which was on a bottom shelf. I stooped down and pulled it out.Then I was unable to get up. I called out for help to a young clerk with red hair who was about 7 feet away and she did not acknowledge hearing me even though my voice was loud. I tried to get up and fell back and landed on the floor. I called out again for help as I was unable to pull myself up she said "just a minute" and proceeded to tape up an empty box after seeing me sitting on the floor unable to get up. She never got back to me. Finally, I managed to stack my handbag and then the pot on the nearby counter to pull myself up from the floor and was finally able to stand up on my own . Shame,shame on TJ Max for hiring people who are so creepy they cannot help an old lady who fell on the floor. Terrible,terrible, customer treatment. I won't be coming back to this store. read more

I've been shopping here consistently for over five years. Have I ever had a cranky, distracted cashier? sure... but that is the exception and has NOT been the rule. I really like this store. And, there is a new(ish) manager who is genuine, friendly and his staff love him. The last several times I've been there, the pride the staff has in the store is obvious- they get exasperated at how destructive customers can be (think goats and toddlers) and make every attempt to keep the displays and merchandise well organised and displayed well. I also have asked the staff for recommendations or their opinions on merchandise and have consistently been treated in a friendly, professional and kind manner. I really enjoy this place and, if you treat the staff the way you'd want to be treated, you can get great insight in to the merchandise they offer and some really useful recommendations too. read more

The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I will never shop at this store again. The cashier "Sherry" I think her name was ( older woman, glasses, tons of makeup) was so extremely rude and the manager was not at all helpful in the situation. I do not recommend shopping at this Tj Maxx ever. read more

This rating is for the products. They are exceptional for a TJs. I don't go there expecting superb service, expect to have to comb through for a diamond in the rough and no one asking if you are finding everything alright, but employees have always been friendly if I have a question. Again, many great treasures in jewelry, clothing, shoes, and home items at this location. read more

I am a loyal TJ Maxx customer and come to this location often. This review was for my last experience here (1/4/2016). The cashier, Ms. Virginia was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had anywhere in my life. When I approached the counter, she wasn't very friendly (that's okay, some people have bad days- it happens). Didn't say hi or asked how she could help me. I asked her if I could return one item (a cologne & aftershave set) and have a price check on a snack for friend who approached the counter with me. She rolled her eyes a bit when she couldn't locate the price on the bag and had to go find a similar snack item to ring up the price. I asked her what the price was when she brought up a similar item, and she ignored me. The cashier next to her saw what happened and checked the computer for her and told me the price. She processed the transaction and I noticed she had returned my money for the cologne set I had returned, but also charged me for the snack I had requested a price check for. My friend pointed out the mistake, and said "oh miss, she was just asking the price for me, I wanted to buy the snack." Ms. Virginia replied "Well, can't you just owe her the money?" No Ms. Virginia, that's not the point. I politely asked for another transaction to return the money to which she rolled her eyes, let out a big sigh, and quietly but boldly stated "...the fuck?" As a customer I am sorry that I *clearly* inconvenienced you but you have no right as an employee to curse at me for your incompetence. The cashier next to her (thank goodness for him) saw what was going on and decided to take over. read more
