The main reason I go to this Walmart is for their garden center, the plants have been consistently good and well priced. Cleaning supplies seem to be a better value too. I like that I can purchase spray paint easily here, for all my tagging needs. (joke) I needed some for some patio furniture that I want to get another year out of. Never had any issues with the cashiers here, today my cashier was friendly and we conversed for a bit since no one was waiting behind me. Sometimes, being nice at the start of an interaction helps. I understand that employees deal with a lot of customers, but basic courtesy and professionalism should still be expected. I did speak with the store team lead about what happened, but I still feel the experience should be documented. Customers should not have to worry about being abruptly disconnected when they are trying to get basic information from the store. Then she told me at first to order my glasses online bc they have to deal with the line first. All I needed was for them to open the display case and allow me to purchase them, I'm okay waiting in line but she was refusing to open the case even. So after I looked online and there's no specific spot to order my glasses, I approached her again and she rudely opened it. She seemed upset. Both cashiers were ignoring me on shift. I waited and was polite. After approaching her and she opened it, I showed her the ones I wanted and I asked her to hold them by the register. You get the occasional great find like a pair of DKNY jeans or Calvin Klein dress for virtually nothing but you have to sort through a whole lot of junk to do it. If you just want cheap stuff even cheaper, Ross can be useful. My issue with this particular Ross is the odd ratio of security to actual sales staff. I have twice had to put things down and walk out because there was only one cashier to ring up purchases, a long line, and three security guards standing around the front of the store staring. That gets on my nerves because while Ross as a chain seems freakishly preoccupied with theft prevention (God only knows why as they sell very little worth stealing), that kind of egregious nonsense seems to only be reserved for certain communities.
