This Walmart was the only place open after 10pm in the greater Chicago area, and we were in desperate need of towels, shower supplies, and sheets for the new mattress we had just snagged. We arrived 15 minutes before closing and were out the doors within 12. After that first night, our trip to Walmart for essentials to help bring the apartment together was a daily ritual. I had put down a deposit on a diamond ring for my wife and the deposit was for a $115 a few years ago. At the time I was driving 18 wheelers and was over the road, so I wouldn't make it back home a month at a time. After a couple of months I end up buying a diamond ring from Zales due to it being a much better product for a much better reasonable price. I then went back to this Walmart to get a refund on my money and they couldn't find my transaction! I then contacted corporate and they couldn't do better and advise that I should go back to the original store and I explained that the original store was the issue! With that being said, I had ended up losing my deposit due to me not being able to locate my receipt. One would think that a billion dollar company would be more professional and do a better job of keeping up with the records of their transactions, but realized that they lack on many things that would make them a great store to do business with! Instead, they only offered the option of sending a return label and processing over a period of days. When I expressed the need to have use of the product immediately, they refused to bend. However, b4 I could use it even once, I accidentally saw an article where the Brand and Model I bought, along with others listed there that they were known to cause FIRES and to stop using them and return to mfgr. The enclosed mfgrs info was I learned about after much effort to be BOGUS. Never answered calls. Located another 'supposedly good number' using Google's various links and they also failed. Almost a year later I then notified WALMART, using their Website asking for HELP or info and suggested they remove this Mfgrs products from their stores .TO THIS DAY WALMART has responded to me in any way. I guess customers service and experiences is a thing of the past. I placed an online order and I received a text informing me it was delivered. I was at home so I looked on my porch, then I looked around my house, and on my neighbors' porches only to find nothing was delivered. I called customer service who had nothing to say, then was transferred to a "supervisor " who informed me after she researched it. They discovered that from a photo that the package was delivered to the wrong address. Now according to their policy, when a customer do not receive their package after receiving notification that it was delivered, then customers must wait 48 hours to give the delivery company the opportunity to correct their mistake it they scanned the wrong package. Well, I might could buy that , but in my case they already discovered the mistake and I will not be getting my package so why do I have to wait 48 for my refund? THAT IS WALMART's POLICY!!!!! I ventured to this Walmart or better known as "Wally-World" late at night. My goal was to avoid the day shoppers and traffic. My plan was to get in and get out, which was an EPIC FALL! The store was in middle of setting up their displays from Valentines day to Easter. I had a hard time locating my items since I usually do not come to this location. I also had a hard time locating any employee for assistance to locate these items. Oh by the way, you will definitely find the security before you spot a store employee. However I notice the aisle were pretty clean. Now time to talk about my checkout experience. As I approached the registers I noticed only a few checkout lanes were open. There were only a 2 people ahead of me in my checkout line. I did not know why my wait in line was so lengthy. The cashier was talking to another employee who was standing nearby. OH, I know where you can find all of the employees up front by the registers and door. The cashier made frequent trips away from the register. None of the customers ahead of me had large orders. The worst store on the planet. Was in line for almost 25 minutes today. They are down the aisle with the clothes. The bakery section they left boxes with the merchandise.. One employee stated that she worked in the bakery department. Told another employee to leave the box there. She was trying to do the right thing. The other employee to told them to just leave it. Folks left items in the aisle because they could not wait. The speedy check out was even long. Couple of registers were closed. Folks were taking things out there cart. I received an iPad Mini vs. an iPad 2 from a layaway order back on 12.09.13. I was in a hurry and it was a gift to myself so I didn't even notice, (or take it out of the bag) until today. I take it back to the store and explain the mixup, and the employees in the Customer Service department seemed weary and nonchalant about this huge error. One casually calls back to the electronics department to see if there was an iPad 2 in stock. Meanwhile, a 2nd female employee takes my receipt and decides that she's going to walk back to electronics and check on things personally. She stays gone for about 10 minutes, walks back to the cust svc area w/my receipt still in hand and than goes back for another 10-15 minutes. I decide to go back and see whats going on (I was simply going to ask if I could go to another WalMart if the iPad was not in stock), and she's lounging against the counter casually talking to (an obviously busy) electronics employee. I ask her what's happening and she barely looks at me, stating that she's trying to find out if they have an iPad, and tosses out that "its busy". Turns out they DO have the device, but what happens next is pretty amazing, even for our neighborhood. She gets the iPad in her hand turns around without a word to me and heads BACK up to the Customer Service area along with the Merchandise supervisor and they are chatting with each other while, I, the customer (remember me?) trails behind them wondering how I've managed to stay in this store for 40 minutes and how on earth 20 of them were spent finding out if there was an iPad 2 on deck for an exchange. Back in the cust svc area, a couple of managers are consulted and the iPad Mini is taken OUT of the box in front of me, serial numbers are checked and my id and receipt are thoroughly audited, ONLY then does the merchandise supervisor present me with the iPad 2 and says "I apologize". Unreal. I explained to them that they were not doing me any favors and stated that I expected basic courtesy since I'm the one who paid $400 for a device that an employee walks through the store with, thoroughly ignoring me like I'm a pesky fly or necessary evil she has to deal with. Bottom line: These employees need to be trained in common, basic, customer service. Just because Walmart is large, and successful, does not excuse this kind of behavior... I'm offended and wish I could boycott the establishment. Our area is so underserved though I won't be able to avoid going unless I want to drive longer distances to patronize others. read more

This has got to be the WORSE Walmart in America. Too many young employees who really don't care about customer service at all, although they are in a customer service business. Try going to the deli counter on a Saturday (a peak shopping day.) One person working, although there may be a line a mile long waiting for service. You can see in the back thru the window at least 5-6 other employees laughing and talking. They will even look and see the line of customers, yet no one comes out to assist. There are so many things that should be complained about at this store but the most concerning to me is the lack of mask wearing by employees as well as managers. I went to the store today and needed the help of a store employee. Her mask was under her chin. I asked her if she was supposed to have her mask over her mouth and nose.... she replied " we all gone die anyway " She never pulled her mask up and continued to shout instructions to move the self checkout line along...Tameka is the associates name. After, I was done bagging my groceries I went to locate a manager to express my concern and my discuss of Tameka's attitude/lack of respect of the mask mandate rule due to A pandemic, I noticed that the managers were also wearing the mask under their chins or off their nose. This is not my first time seeing employees improperly wearing the mask. I am so over it . Shoppers take the mask off while in the store and nothing is said to remind shoppers to keep their mask on. The managers in this store are not setting positive leadership examples. It's not shocking that the employees are mask relaxed. Upper management really needs to step in and make sure the store's managers and employees practice the mandatory mask rule that's in place to protect everyone. read more

Absolutely horrible. Second time I have ordered site to store. Second time they have failed to process my order in a timely manner. Why on earth does it take 8+ hours to process my order for me to pick it up. I don't particularly care to drive over there at night, alone, to get something that someone who didn't want to do their job, failed to do in a reasonable amount of time. No one is ever there to man that department. I call and am on hold for anywhere between 30-45 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. Absolutely ridiculous. Not professional. So I picked up an 8 inch round double layer birthday cake today, which they put in a flat box instead of a round container. You could barely recognize the word Birthday and the rest of the writing was just sloppily written in general. Customer service agreed and offered the standard 10 percent off.
