We were in the middle of Solon so we decided on Imperial Wok. Busy Friday night but we beat the majority of the crowd and sat right away. Ordered a combo plate moo goo gai pan, fried rice, egg roll, wonton soup, coconut ice cream. Server was very prompt and fast. Food comes out hot and fast. Tastes good. Really there are no complaints. Everything was good. I enjoyed my meal. Took some home to enjoy another day. Prices are average. I do have to say the portions are a bit smaller than they used to be. But I almost expect that now. Parking is always packed. But you typically find a spot. Overall, no real complaints.

Imperial Wok is a good, above average Chinese restaurant. We have been patronizing the restaurant…read morefor a quarter of a century. I'm sure this review won't affect their business at all as it is always bustling, but I wanted to share this experience. The food is always good. That's not my complaint. I understand that customer service is not what it used to be in these days of exorbitant prices, and overhead costs. Having spent quite a while in the restaurant industry, if you want keep customers, you can't just do the bare minimum. I'm not saying that I won't patronize them again, but this evening was fairly disappointing for me. I ordered takeout using the chow now platform. I use it all the time. One sushi roll, an appetizer of their Goldfingers, an order of moogoo gaipan, and an order of sweet-and-sour chicken. I rarely order sweet-and-sour chicken, but I had a taste for it tonight. The restaurant is about 17 minutes from my house. When I got home and took all the food out to relax with my wife and enjoy my dinner after a long day at work, I realized that there was sauce for the sweet-and-sour chicken, but there was no chicken. It appeared to me that this was because there was an order of their Goldfingers that perhaps one of the staff mistook for the chicken that was supposed to be my entrée. I called and explained the situation. I was handed off to the manager who apologized and offered to either a) have the chicken ready for me if I drove back or b) refund the amount of the missing food. Nowadays, it's about making the customer whole, legally. That's the bare minimum. I didn't receive something so you refund me for it. But it's not enough. Like I said, it's the bare minimum. Although she did apologize, twice I believe, it just seemed insufficient. It would've been nice if she had offered me a dessert, a small coupon, a discount, or anything else of compensatory nature. But none of that was offered. The business made a mistake, inconvenienced me, and disrupted my evening. Then they said I could spend another half an hour going back-and-forth to pick up the food that they forgot to give me or simply be refunded the exact amount that I paid for the food that I didn't receive. As I said, just disappointing overall.
