base MSRP that should be on the and was on the original window sticker would be 71k they modified it

Looking at a used car, finally got a price, and it was more than 20k above when the car was new, that's dealer choice to gouge and damage their reputation long term, car dealers have not lived through semiconductor allocation, its my industry, I have, and the memoires of gouging stay with the customers for 30 years. Main issue is TITUS manipulated the window sticker original MSRP to justify price- fine have it at 200k but ANY modification of a window sticker is either illegal or SHADY.

Put prices on your postings. Either you have shit prices or you are lazy. POST PRICES!!! 2019 it should not take a call to get a price :-(

Fox News in the waiting room is off-putting to say the least. Service overall is usually good.

Tim Thoreen was very honest with me and took photos of the car. All dealers say a car is clean, but he took a pic of every flaw. Thanks

After describing the issue we were having, they took it in and did their "typical diagnostics" on it and presented us with a service write-up of just over $7,000 in repairs, the majority of which was just replacing gaskets and seals, and they also told us we needed to replace the clutch as well. None of this would cause the limp mode issue we were having, and on top of all of that, we had already replaced the clutch just 6 months earlier. After talking with "Dave", our service writer, he kept telling us that "all of these little issues can cause one big issue" and that we needed to do all of them to actually pinpoint the issue. So basically "Throw over $7,000 at it in the hopes that we can locate the problem after that". I spoke with another service writer on one of Dave's days off and that service writer was equally baffled as to why nothing on the write-up addressed the limp mode issue. Upon speaking with Dave again, he stated that the tech was unable to replicate the problem. But they never mentioned anything about our brake light being on, which has been on for about 6 months. Or the TPS light being on, which I know is on because the wheels with the TPS sensors are sitting on the side of my house. I'm not sure how they ever took it for a test drive without seeing both of those lights on, but somehow they didn't mention anything about those. This place is horrible, the service department is basically trying to force you into anything they can to get extra money out of you and not even addressing the issue you bring it in for. You'd think the dealership would know how to fix their own vehicles, but this place has no clue what they are doing, aside from gouging you for more money. I would give zero stars if Yelp would let me.

No pressure and very helpful. Upon wanting to take a test drive, it was found that the truck had a faulty battery. Craig apologized and asked if we could come back in a few hours and it would be fixed. That left us time to look at trucks from other lots. When we returned, the truck had a new battery and we did a test drive, loved it and made the purchase. Multiple months later the battery failed under warranty. I couldn't find the battery paperwork and called Craig for a copy. He got back to me the same day and stated he couldn't find it either. He then told me to go to their associated repair shop several blocks away and he would pay for a new replacement battery! Now THAT is customer service and why we've purchased two vehicles from them. It'll be time to buy another vehicle soon and you can bet we'll return to Gene Pankey Motors and the great service that Craig offers! Personally, I've never had such great customer service at any other vehicle sales location. Gene Pankey Motors is THE place to buy quality pre-owned vehicles. I cannot recommend them any higher!

Overall Experience: 2/5 Stars…read more Here's my experience purchasing a used 2018 vehicle from Gene Pankey Motor Company in Tacoma, broken out by team and overall experience. The Car: 4/5 Stars I purchased a used 2018 vehicle that I genuinely love. One thing I appreciated was being able to take the car to a local dealership for a pre-purchase inspection before buying it. That said, there were several quality control issues that should have been caught before delivery: * The battery still had visible battery acid corrosion on it despite being told by the salesperson it would be cleaned prior to pickup. * Shortly after bringing the vehicle home, I noticed a puddle of oil underneath the car because the oil pan drain plug had not been properly tightened after servicing from S7 Automotive. Thankfully, the oil issue was an easy fix that I handled myself, and overall I'm still happy with the vehicle -- but these are details that should not be missed during inspection and prep. Salesperson Experience: 1/5 Stars The salesperson was helpful initially and I appreciated that the test drive process was low pressure. However, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I told him upfront that I wanted the vehicle inspected at a dealership of my choosing, and he initially told me that was not allowed and that I needed to use a mechanic they preferred. Later, the sales manager clarified that I absolutely could use any mechanic I wanted. There was also a strong emphasis on closing the deal quickly because the salesperson was going on vacation and wanted the commission finalized before leaving. He repeatedly mentioned not talking to other salespeople because it could impact his commission, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional from a customer perspective. Communication also became pushy at times regarding financing paperwork and getting the check delivered. When I arrived to finalize and pick up the vehicle, the interaction felt very transactional with little appreciation or customer care shown. Sales Manager: 2/5 Stars Mixed experience here. The Sales Manager (salesperson's boss) did ultimately clarify that I could take the vehicle to any mechanic I chose for inspection, which I appreciated. However, he also told me my license plates would be mailed out on a specific Monday, and that never happened. I ultimately had to follow up through the business manager to get the issue resolved. Business Manager: 5/5 Stars The business manager was by far the standout part of this experience and honestly saved the deal from becoming a much worse review. When I arrived to finalize paperwork, there had been internal communication breakdowns with the sales team, which caused delays with my credit union paperwork. He stepped in immediately, worked through the issue professionally, and made sure I didn't have to make another trip. He also personally handled getting the battery corrosion cleaned after I mentioned it had not been done as promised. He also mailed out my license plates as that fell through the cracks on the sales manager's end. He was professional, customer-focused, proactive, and easily the strongest representative of the dealership during this process. Service / S7 Automotive: 2/5 Stars I didn't deal with them directly, but based on the work completed on the vehicle prior to sale, I was not impressed. The brakes squeaked after the brake service, and the loose oil drain plug was concerning. Overall, I like the car and there were some positives about the experience, mainly the Business Manager, but the dealership's communication both with customers and internally needs improvement, and the overall experience with the sales team left a lot to be desired.

We walked in and they were prompt about seeing to our needs and offering refreshments. It was raining outside and JR kept us out of the rain even when I requested a multitude of cars to view. Car Quality and Pricing: 8/10 We looked (and bought) a Toyota Corolla Cross LE. Very clean, checked the engine, and the made sure we left with a full tank of gas. I didn't walk in here with the intention of buying a car, but left with one anyways. The pricing could be cheaper but I'm happy with what we negotiated it down to with Minh Thien. Buying Process: 9/10 Who likes spending money? Not me. The process was long, but that was both because of the nature of the purchase (big purchases, iykyk) and because we weren't prepared to buy a car. Regardless, our agent was knowledgeable and thorough. Minh Thien double checked our paperwork, answered all of our questions (including my anxiety driven ones), and was open about asking more knowledgeable people when he wasn't sure about something. He made sure our circumstances (one of us was buying a house) wouldn't be affected by the car purchase. General rating: 10/10 Despite despising spending money, I walked out of here happy with the cost and quality. I liked the "Larson Difference" the Minh Thien explained to me thoroughly.

I drove over an hour each way to this dealership after making an appointment and already going over numbers with the salesperson. I came in with financing figured out and was fully prepared to move forward pending a test drive and final look over of the vehicle. When I arrived, I was told someone else had just taken the car for a test drive, so we waited for it to return. After waiting around, the other customer decided to buy it, and the dealership sold the vehicle right out from under us. What I don't understand is how someone who walked in after us was able to jump ahead in the process when we already had an appointment and were actively working the deal. It felt like a complete waste of my time and very disrespectful to serious buyers who had already done the work ahead of time. This kind of business practice does not sit well with me ethically, and because of this experience, I would never recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from this dealership!
