The best.....tacos with cheese, chips and salsa.
MotoGuy A.

The best tacos in SoCal, food is simply the best, the service is top shelve, the lady's that take your order are very friendly and polite. The outdoor seating is limited but always a must for me, great ambiance. 4 tacos with cheese, chips and salsa!

I always see a line of people waiting to order so I stopped by. The taco is OK - hard shell. It's a little dry but the hot sauce helps. Street parking.

Long wait lines dont mean good food

I wanted to enjoy this. But it wasn't even decent and the overall experience is bad. First off there is no parking, you wait in a long line and there is nowhere to sit. I'm Mexican so I have to denounce this, the tortilla is plain no flavor and not even fried correctly, its a terrible, uneven texture. The meat is not seasoned and the vegetables do not offer any sort of fresh taste.. The chips were OK, but the salsa was not spicy and tasted like jarred tomatoes... staff was friendly, but I will never come back and i dont recommend anyone visit this places. Spend your money elsewhere because this is overpriced and overhyped.

Prices have gone up but the quality is consistent. Their salsa is fresh and guacamole sauce is creamy Chips are the best here. They have added a quesadilla to their menu too Seating seems more spacious since they do not allow any ordering inside

It's been awhile since I updated my review even though I have eaten there several times since my last review. Inflation has seemed to affected many businesses including Tito's Tacos. I remember when the taxis were larger, more lettuce and cheese. Over the years I noticed there are less ingredients in Tacos. I still like the crunch of the tacos and the Chips. The salsa seems more liquidity versus the early days. I'm still a fan of Tito's and hope the impact of Shrinkflation disappears soon.i plan to stop in and enjoy some tacos on my next trip. This review is primarily to post an updated menu with prices.

Came on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was fine, that's good. Short line, ordered a burrito and the wife some tacos. . Did not enjoy the burrito. Wasn't tasty, and basically all beans. The tacos were OK , but cheese isn't melted. Chips and salsa were fine. We would not return. Security guard is outside , calling orders. He was friendly. Plenty of space to eat inside. Restrooms were clean. Most people were getting food to go. I had stomach problems later in the evening , which is rare to me. Tons of gas, lol. Anyways, would not return. Would not recommend. Maybe it was good decades ago? Sorry. Toss up on rating , basically 3 stars is OK. But I don't think it's OK. Unfortunately 2.

It's been a while since I've been to the iconic Tito's Tacos. I never thought it was that good, or why so many people rave about it. They always seem to have a steady stream of customers so maybe I'm the odd man out regarding Tito's tastiness. I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd give it another chance. First off, they have plenty of free parking, so that's a big plus. The woman who took our order was really nice. You place your order and then stand back on the sidewalk and wait for them to shout your number. It works. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We wanted to sit indoors, but the fan was so loud we couldn't even hear each other. There are picnic benches in both the front and the back. I had a bean and cheese burrito. $8.45, and my friend had a meat, bean, and cheese burrito. $11.60. My friend described the burrito perfectly. She said it was "gooey." Mine was too. It's gooey refried beans and cheese with an odd texture. The tortilla that wrapped it was excellent. Soft and chewy, so it was a combination of gooey and chewy! You get a few chips and salsa to go with it, and they give you just enough. The salsa was excellent. I wish it were a tad bit hotter, but the flavor was great! Lots of garlic. I'm happy they have a thriving business. I won't be back, but I wish them the best

Tito's is an LA must! I was lucky to have a very short line which is highly unusual. The tacos are still as good as I remember. The salsa is made fresh and the taste is perfect. Than you Tito's!

I've been coming here since 1980. This used to be my grandma's and my mom's SPOT!! Where $10 went a loooong way. Well I haven't been out this was for a while and wanted to hit up the spot! A lot has changed from the once jammed packed restaurant to a more corporate approach. No more multi lines inside amd outside. Just 1 line outside. The prices are RIDICULOUS too high! Also, the size of the burrito has gotten smaller. 2 burritos 6 tacos and 1 large salsa $120. Then the new guy, not one of the "tias" took my order and messed it up completely. One of the ladies had to help him figure out most of the order. Anways the taste was still there. I was happy about that. It wasn't as packed as before. Times definitely are changing. I still love this place. I'll be back. Sometimes we love things because they are familiar and remind us of a special time.

Tito's Tacos is a timestamp in history that you can have in the present. This is my older sibling's era of munchies while they were growing up. They lived in the westside while I grew up in the valley. My taste palettes grew up on other food items so at first glance Tito's isn't it for me. I do remember having Tito's as a child and remembering the same taste decades later. It is amazing to see the consistency throughout the many years. (except for the prices) Every time my brother comes to visit LA he jokes of wanting Tito's, but i know he really means it. We'll go and get an order of things and take it to go. For sure, I will be getting something while we're making the trip. Parking: small private lot, street parking VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

No line! Imagine that!

Came here during my hideous to our plus weight at the DMV a few blocks away from here in Culver city. Now this review will be relatively brief, keeping in mind that all things are relevant-and that few, if any establishments are immune to the passing of time. Simply put, as a damn near 30 plus year resident of Culver city, I'm well aware that this place is a virtual landmark and also holds cultural significance to Culver City proper. Truth be told, I wasn't that hungry, but was bored stiff as a result of the long line I had been waiting for, and still had in front of me at the dmv. And so one or two tacos can't hurt right? The tacos were good. Now I wouldn't necessarily certainly do backflips over them, (but my take on things are slightly biased since I've been here in Culver City so long and kind of judge them at what I remember the tacos tasting like when I was in my teens, 20s, 30s, and so on). But assuming you're closing in on the half century mark on this dear Earth of ours, what product, place or person is what it used to be right? Being that this is the beginning of the week, and after the lunch rush, and before the evening crowd, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. All in all a solid experience! And yes, I'm glad that Tito's continues to serve Culver City and beyond! By the way, for those who watch their local cable, they also have a pretty cool commercial!

Have always passed by Tito's and been curious to know what the hype was and let me just say I don't understand it. The tacos weren't bad but they weren't the best I've ever had. I read a review before trying it about how someone would prefer jack in a box tacos over this and if I'm being quite frank, I'd agree. I got 8 tacos with cheese, a bean and cheese burrito, and 1 large horchata for $65 dollars and I was absolutely thrown off by the price. It may seem like a lot of food but almost $6 bucks for a taco is kinda ridiculous! Nonetheless, it was not a bad taco, it just was a mediocre experience and I would say it's more of a one and done place that you should try and get over with. I would honestly save your money and go somewhere else, but again, try it and gauge your own opinion. The cheese would have tasted better melted, the chips provided were somewhat stale, but the salsa was actually really yummy! Staff wise, security guards are working and help out with calling orders out and they were really friendly! Staff were efficient even with long lines! Seating was available but parking can get packed.

As good as I remember it! I came here a lot as a kid, but their salsa is just too fresh! Service is chill, nothing crazy but also no negatives. The seating is just ok

Ask the Community - Tito's Tacos

Yelp says they have vegan options but what are they?

I know they have a veggie tamale but I expect it may be closer to vegetarian since it doesn't explicitly say "vegan". I've had it and it tastes good and comes with a red tomato sauce. My concern is what else it may be exposed to, but it was good. I,… Read more

Is lard used to refry the beans are to fry anything?

Yes, they use lard for the majority of their dishes including chips

Do they use lard?

If they do, they need to use more. Because whatever they are putting in their tacos is making me drive 40 miles to go eat it. Plus lard helps to keep my joints lubricated.

Does Tito's charge for chips and salsa now?

My food came with it

I'm trying to order delivery but the website doesn't work anyone else have this issue?

I ordered for delivery in the 11AM first available time was 3PM, no problem. Note 3PM actually means to your door by 3:30 Everything was fresh and Hot.

Are they open today 6/1 even through the protests?

I drove by today around 4PM, and there was a line around the building. Good luck!

Does anyone know if they are open for take out or only delivery at this time?

They are closed but will open on June 1st for take out or order in store.

Are they open for take out now since the virus?

They're closed...

Are they open?

They are not and won't be until around the 15th of May, They decided it was not safe for the take out because of the long lines and to make stuff, I guess just to have delivered was not worth it.

Are you open now with COVD 19?

No,

Do they have chicken tacos?

No they do not. Only chicken enchiladas, I believe.

Do you know if they use lard or another type of oil to fry their tortilla shells in?

They use lard

Do they accept credit cards?

They used to be cash only, but they now accept credit cards 😉

Has anyone brought tacos and burritos to the valley? I'm wondering how the food travels? :-) thx!

It travels very well. I live in Dallas now, but every time we fly to LAX to visit family, we stop at Tito's and bring take out to Woodland Hills.

Is Tito's tacos open today on the 4th of July?? @ Todd M. Have you thought about staying quiet if…

Have you thought about calling them? That would have been many less keystrokes.

How long is the waiy?

usually less than 15 minutes

Does Tito's offer chicken tacos...or can you ask for it?

Nope. Beef only.

Does anybody know what coffee they brew? I had it for the first time. It was cold but it was great.

Farmers. I don't know that you can get it in a store.

Are rice and beans vegan/vegetarian friendly? Containing chicken broth or lard.

Tito's is a firm believer in using Lard. I have also seen 55 gallon drums of MSG there. Getting to the age where I should not go back. But I will!! Tito's Tacos is one of the touchstones of eating in LA!!

I heard that their shredded beef comes from a plastic bag and they just pour it out . Thought it was fresh and seasoned from scratch. Does anyone know if it's true?

False, the meat is cooked on site, I know because I've been in the kitchen before.

It's a nice spot with a good vibe, but the experience didn't fully live up to expectations. The biggest letdown was the happy hour drinks. The mixed cocktails tasted pretty watered down, which was disappointing, especially when you're expecting bold flavors at a mezcal-focused spot. Not a terrible experience, but there's definitely room for improvement, especially on the drink side.
