Leaving Jess and her team behind was one of the hardest parts of my move, and it immediately showed me just how exceptional that experience truly was. Jess and her team completely changed my mind set about going to the gym and working out. I was in my early 40s when I first started working out at Whole Fitness and, until I found Jess, I had never been able to stick to any kind of fitness routine. I was at my heaviest, totally overwhelmed, and honestly at my wits' end. From day one, Jess put me at ease and made me feel at home. Whole Fitness isn't a typical gym and that's what makes it so special. It's a boutique, private environment where you never feel self-conscious, intimidated, or uncomfortable. I always felt safe, cared for, and supported. The trainers and the other clients became an extension of my family, and leaving that behind was much harder than I expected. After moving, I tried to recreate that experience and quickly realized just how rare Jess and her team are. I won't turn this into a complaint about other trainers, but it became clear that what Whole Fitness offers isn't easy to find. I eventually stopped trying to replace it and started doing virtual training with Jess instead because I'm simply not willing to settle for less than the best. If you're looking for a place that truly supports you, meets you where you are, and helps you build something sustainable, this is it. Jess and her team are exceptional and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Today I participated in my wife's training session with Jess and she really made me feel the burn. She showed my how to isolate particular muscle groups that's I never have before. I always thought I was doing shoulder workouts like side raises and shoulder press correctly, but she gave me tips that really helped me activate the muscle groups with less weight than I usually use. She also made the workout fun and threw in some movements that I definitely haven't done and really challenged me. Since my wife started with Jess I've definitely seen the change in her and would recommend her to anybody looking for a trainer that really knows what they're doing.

FREE PARKING -- Parking downtown is a pain so I'm happy that BrownsFit gym validates parking tickets at the attached garage. You won't pay for parking which is awesome. MEMBERSHIP -- I have a corporate membership which means I have a slight discount based on where I work. Membership is month to month (no contract) so if you want to cancel, tell them 10 days before your next gym payment is due and they will cancel your membership. WHAT YOU GET -- They offer group fitness classes (which are included in the membership price), they have cardio equipment such as ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes. They have dumbbells and barbells for those who enjoy lifting weights. There are male and female changing rooms with showers and toilets. *My FAVOURITE machine to use so far has been the Jacobs Ladder. I had never know about this cardio equipment until joining BrownsFit. It is intense and you only need 3 mins to feel the BURN. The Saturday morning BOOTCAMP classes are intense but really good. FREE MASSAGES -- Members can use a massage chair (3 are available) for 10 minutes without any extra charge. I enjoy using the massage chair after a good workout. LAYOUT -- The main floor is huge and has all the cardio and weight equipments. There are TV's lined up on the wall by the windows. They also have 2 fitness exercise rooms at the back of the gym where all the group fitness classes are held. One of the rooms has the spin bikes in them laid out at the back of the wall but there is still space in the room to do your own workout. I'm happy the bikes don't take up the whole room. This room also has weights and other equipment in the corner. Bootcamp classes, yoga, etc, are held in this room. The other fitness group class room is smaller and has equipment in it such as weights, ropes, yoga mats, etc. I love using the group exercise class rooms for my workouts when if there are no fitness classes scheduled. Overall, I would recommend Browns Fit gym. The corporate membership is less than $50 a month and I believe regular membership is under $60/month. For everything you get, it is really a great bank for your buck. - 42/200 total reviews in 2020 - 418 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 December 2020

4QTRS Fitness - Tuesday, 18 June 2024 -- inside 4 Quarters Fitness studio

4 QUARTERS FITNESS is located on the main floor of the TREO apartments on West 25th street…read more If you enjoy high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts then 4 Quarters Fitness is for you. The classes are inspired by football drills so the name of the studio, 4 Quarters, comes from the 4 Quarters during a football game. The last section of class is the 4th quarter which is normally when all the hard work is already done. Also, the name of the studio spells out the type of class that you'll take (QTRS - Quarters). Q for quickness, T for tenacity, R for resilience, and S for strength. Every workout is a full body workout but some workouts may focus on legs or arms for part of the class. This is the new fitness concept by Junker Fitness LLC. The Cleveland location of Junker Fitness will be closing by January 2025 but they will still have their Florida location. The same fitness instructors from Junker Fitness are now coaching here at 4 Quarters with one additional new instructor, Cameron. I visited 4 Quarters Fitness during their opening week on Monday, 17 June 2024 when they had their grand opening celebration. Jackson Junker, the owner, came down from Florida with his wife and kids to participate in opening week. It was a special treat to take two classes with Jackson who is a former football player. I took my first class on Tuesday, 18 June which was the first official day for classes. I was the only one in the Tuesday, 6am Quickness class with owner Jackson and his wife Stephanie so I felt special since I essentially got a personal training session. My next class was on Wednesday evening, 19 June, and there were alot more people in class. It was a strength class which wasn't as hard for me as the full-on cardio class but it was still a tough workout. Jackson Junker is a phenomenal fitness trainer and I was so lucky to be trained by him. The next class that I took that week was the resilience class with instructor Christa on Saturday, 22 June at 9am. There were even more people in class compared to Wednesday which makes it more fun. Christa is a great fitness coach who is very motivational. The next class that I took was the following week, a 6am strength class on Wednesday, 26 June with instructor Curtis. With me and another guy in class, it was a nice and small group. Curtis is another great fitness instructor who provides great examples of stretches to do if your body is feeling tight. He gave me on really good stretch to loosen up my side leg muscles or the IT band. You may also use some of the apartment gym's tools to stretch with such as their foam roller. CLASS TYPES (45 minutes per class) Q for quickness - cardio T for tenacity - mixture of cardio and strength R for resilience - mixture of cardio and strength S for strength - power (weights and body weight exercises) So far, I've attended 3/4 class types and I still need to take a tenacity class. I love the strength and resillence classes the most while cardio is fun too. I recommend 4 Quarters Fitness because you are trained by the best fitness professionals in Cleveland and will be provided support and guidance throughout class. Each class is currently $20 a class. I took advantage of their opening rate of $89/month for unlimited classes (founding member). Their regular membership rate is $149/month. I can't wait to take my next HIIT workout soon. TIP: please drink lots of water and electrolytes. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 48/150 total reviews in 2024 - 698 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 29 June 2024

No work out is easy, everyday you leave with your butt being kicked and realizing how much more there is to achieve. The facility is excellent, coaches are well versed in CrossFit. So if you want to get fit, improve your strength & conditioning - CrossFit Sixth City is the place to be at. I endorse CSC without any reservations. Addendum: 6/14 CSC has added weekly yoga classes. These are held every Thursday, led by a certified yoga instructor. I find them very complimentary to CrossFit especially with mobility. The yoga classes are open to all & cost $5/session.

One thing that truly sets CSC apart is the fact that no matter your fitness level, the coaches will pay attention to you, help you through your bad habits, and they legitimately want you to succeed. They don't spend all of their time with newbies nor do they spend all of their time with the more experienced athletes, instead, everyone gets personal attention and help where they need it most. Some people complain about the price of a crossfit membership, but with a basic understanding of the product, you'll see that it's well worth it. CSCs coaches take all the hard work out of staying fit--they plan the workouts for you, help you through your weaknesses and encourage you when you want to quit. Beyond that, they take a genuine interest in getting to know you. Bonus points--the gym is in a super convenient location if you work downtown.

You can't give love if you don't have any for yourself. Everything starts with the relationship you have with yourself." -- Cassey Ho, Youtuber and Pilates instructor. I first found out about Reset Lounge through a complimentary massage thanks to Yelp Cleveland in February 2020. You can read my review from partnership with Yelp here -- https://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/elite-week-yelp-recharges-with-reset-lounge-chagrin-falls?hrid=wEgT_PVaIRPwODfMWwGkyg&utm_source=ishare&utm_content=review I visited Reset Lounge a 2nd time on Wednesday, 5 February 2020. I definitely needed to de-stress on this day after getting into a minor car accident earlier that morning. INSIDE -- The space is very warm and inviting just similar to a Spa. When you enter, you will be greeted by a staff member at the front desk. There are numerous chairs to sit at in the lobby. There is also a water/tea station right at the front as you enter. In addition, you can remove your shoes and jacket at the front entrance. There is also a back entrance as well because the front outside gets congested from parked cars. SERVICES/TREATMENTS -- If you enjoy fitness, then a small gym is available for use before or after a wellness service. Private personal trainers train clients inside this gym so you can book a personal training session. For services, they offer CRYOTHERAPY, INFRARED SAUNAS, SALT THERAPY, NUCALM NEUROSCIENCE THERAPY, MASSAGE & COMPRESSION CHAIRS, WHOLE BODY VIBRATION (a small machine located in the gym), and more new services coming in 2020. Thanks to Yelp and being a Yelp Elite member, I got to try 2 services for free -- the massage chair and the salt cabin. I highly recommend the massage chair because it is zero gravity meaning the chair reclines back plus it really deeply massages the lower and mid-body. The salt cabin treatment felt okay to me because I was just bored inside plus it was really cold in there. However, there are benefits to salt therapy including helping with skin problems, inflammation, and removing mucous from the lungs. SAUNA -- Benefits include relaxation and detoxification. They have 2 sauna rooms. In my most recent visit, I paid for a sauna treatment which is $20 for non-members or 1 credit for members. Basically, 1 credit equals $20. Now $20 may be too expensive for some people but taking care of your body shouldn't come as a price; rather, a reward. Before entering the sauna, a staff member asked if I wanted electrolyte infused water so I gladly accepted a cup. It's important to hydrate before, during, and after entering a sauna to replenish water lost through sweat. I enjoyed the infrared sauna and the heat (135F) didn't bother me. Infact, I wished it was hotter....haha. Before I walked in, a staff member asked me what program I wanted and I believe I choose "detoxification". See my attached photos for a description of their sauna programs. Once inside, I sat then laid down while glancing through a book. There is a remote inside that allows you to adjust the light. The different coloured light settings are supposed to help the body in many ways. After getting out of the sauna, there is a mini-fridge that has a eucalyptus infused towel for cooling off. It felt nice to wrap the small towel around my neck and pat it on my chest. I highly recommend the sauna and massage chair. Visit Reset Lounge today located in quaint Chagrin Falls. Customer service is also wonderful here. Your body will enjoy a "reset" after you come here. **** - 12/200 total reviews in 2020 - 388 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 8 February 2020
