In December of 2025, I made the mistake of walking into Fitworks in Parma. I asked for a tour from a bored employee and then for the free trial. I was told I had to submit to a membership application in order to get the free trial and then I would need to cancel within thirty days if I did not want to continue. Seemed simple enough until 8 days in I tried to cancel. I was there in person twice and told the manager was not there. I called. Left voice mails. Many. I called corporate twice; no return call ever from them. Then I did get the manager a few times. Maria put me on hold for a full ten minutes, before I hung up, called again and got the voicemail. That was the first hold. Second hold, a few days later, I got put on hold again by Maria. Left again, by Maria. Called back and got her. She tried to coax me into staying many times. It was VERY OBVIOUS she was trying to get me to the 30 day mark and I said, NO CANCEL THIS and she said she did, apologized and I thought that was it. Until Sunday, May 26th when I received an email from a collections company!! I cannot believe this is happening. This is 2026 and predatory subscription practices still going strong. I am currently working on a resolution. I have not yet heard from either the store nor corporate, which I am not surprised. Corporate never returned my calls back when I was in the midst of trying to get this cancelled. It was AWFUL and now, a new issue. read more

Beware of this scam!!! the only thing i can say is that if you end up canceling your membership you will be charged for another year. stay away owners are money hungry and don't value customers. if you try to call and end your membership on phone they will hang up on you every time. very unprofessional. very unhappy. read more

After closing their downtown location, they continue to bill customers for membership to a gym that no longer exists. They do not respond to email or phone requests. Do not trust this company with your financial information. They are unresponsive. read more

Nice, cheap gym with friendly staff. I was a member for a little over a year, and they treated me well even after I moved and switched to a different gym. It's sort of small compared to other Fitworks locations (I've been to Rocky River and Richmond Hts) and doesn't quite have as many amenities/features/machines. It's certainly not as impressive on paper compared to other Fitworks, but the little things count. The gym doesn't get too packed, so you'll rarely have parking issues or be waiting for machines. They play tolerable music over the speakers. Their staff is friendly, and the members are nice. They hold contests and events from time to time to bring the community together and reward its members. Before I was a member, I was just piggybacking onto my significant other's membership, which had free guest privileges. She had to go on a vacation for 30 days. With no trouble at all, they let me use her membership for the 30 days she was gone, even though the rules state that members must accompany guests at all times. My current gym wouldn't have allowed this based on past experiences I've had with them. I signed up with them after my 30 days were up. The little things really do matter. read more

I like this gym. It's clean and I love the sauna!! I like to go in and do my workout then take a sauna. The health shakes are awesome too!!

This is my gym for more than 2 years. I love it here. I do Insanity workouts and their group fitness room is perfect for what I need. I usually come late at night, so there are not too many people at this time. If I need, I can use any equipment I want. Another reason I chose this place because it's open 24 hours monday-thursday. If you are looking for a gym, definitely check Fitworks in Parma. + next year they are going to open a new location just a few hundreds feet away. It's going to be even better. read more

Been a member here for over 3 years. Absolutely love it here!! Everyone just comes in and does their own thing. Group fitness classes are fantastic . All instructors personable, friendly and provide an awesome workout. Same class changes just enough to keep it fresh. Love Fitworks in Parma !!! Very reasonable that makes it affordable. read more

This gym has it all. Work out equipment free weights. Excerise classes all different times of day and friendly staff. Only thing they fall short on is keeping soap stocked in the bathroom. read more

Paid for a year membership cash. When the year was over they sent me to a bill collector saying that I owed them past due fees, some enhancement fee, late fees and to top it off fees of $5.00 for having to send me a statement!! I hadn't even been to the gym in 6 months!! I called to tell them they shouldn't be billing me for a membership that was expired. They told me that I should know that memberships always roll over. They said that in order to cancel I had to put it in writing 30 days in advance. Then they told me that they wouldn't cancel my membership unless I went up there and paid them $85.00 they said I owed when all was said and done. Are you kidding me? Don't get a membership here unless you want to be financially screwed. Is this even legal??!! read more

If I could score this place lower than 1 star I would. Which is sad because the Fitworks in Stow is awesome. This place, however, is awful. The locker rooms are disgusting & so is half the equipment. The trainers spend more time on their cellphones texting than actually training you & speak poorly about their coworkers at every opportunity. The level of unprofessionalism is unparalleled. Additionally, they treat you like gold while you're giving them your money, but when you stop suddenly you don't exist. What gets worse is when you have to cancel contracts or memberships. I had a personal training contract that I arranged to have cancelled well in advance of the deadline to cancel. Not only did the contract not get cancelled, it was also sent to a collection agency. Which I didn't find out until I was getting phone calls. When confronted about the situation, each person was quick to blame blame blame but not resolve the situation. It took 3 additional months to cancel a contract that should have been cancelled on time. To follow this, when it came time to cancel my membership, I called well in advance to make sure it was cancelled. The girl I spoke with advised me that she would mark my account not to rollover & it would cancel. Lo and behold, it didn't and was charged again for an extra 2 months. When confronted with this, the manager stated that I was advised my account would rollover when I signed up 2 years ago unless i signed a cancellation form. He disregarded my statement when I told him about what His employee assured me. Granted this is partially my error, but again the unprofessionalism is at hand with not properly training your employees. Also, if your memberships automatically rollover after several Years, wouldn't it be a decent and business minded gesture to notify your clients that they have an option to let their membership continue or not? I am not one to openly blast a company, much less on the internet. However this "business" is a disgrace and the people who work within its walls are distrustful, disrespectful and careless. As a former member, my recommendation is to avoid this gym at all costs and seek a reputable gym with honest people working there read more

This Gym has helped me grow in strength and size and as a person a lot ive come to learn a lot of the staff members and there all so helpful and all the people there for the most part I go there very late at night and its wonderful and when I do go in the morning service is just as great yet! Ive come to find this gym is good for anyone big or small and I recommend it :) read more

Love it here. Staff is great. Very annoying when people talk in the cardio movie room.
