Since my truck was out of warranty, I wasn't sure where to turn. I reached out through Yelp and heard back from Ed almost immediately. He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend him to anyone in need of transmission work.

One of the reasons I chose them was because they've been in business for more than 48 years and had consistently great reviews. I also like reading the one-star reviews because, let's be honest, you really can't please everyone. I just wanted to find an honest and trustworthy shop. I called and spoke with Ron right before closing time. He took the time to listen to everything I was experiencing, explained what he thought the issue could be, and told me to bring the van in the next morning. Their shop opens at 8:00 AM, but when I arrived around 7:45 AM, they were already there working on vehicles. When I walked in, Ron remembered our conversation from the previous day, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He scanned my van but didn't notice anything unusual. He reset my ECM and another setting, and thankfully that solved the problem. What impressed me the most was that Ron didn't charge me a dime for his time or help, even though I genuinely wanted to give him something for helping me out. I drove all the way from Disneyland back home to Northern California without a single issue afterward. I experienced terrible customer service from the owner and the incompetent receptionist. I came to have parts installed, after the installation my alarm would trigger anytime I turned on my vehicle. This was NOT a problem I had when I brought the vehicle in. Not only that, my engine cover and header was not returned to me after the installation. I went back and tried to have a conversation with the receptionist and all he did was deny and argue with me about it. Then he tried to say I had that issue when I brought the vehicle in. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars for installation and not fix a bigger problem that has to do with starting the vehicle? I have receipts of all the interactions here, NOT ONCE did they mention that problem when they did the installation. That's because I DID NOT have that problem. I literally asked for them to ensure that they didn't cause the problem with the installation of my door panel and they refused! You can see I was persistent with requesting repairs and have the money to do so, this is not about money this is about a shop doing SHADY BUSINESS with horrible customer service. They will deny if any issues arise! STAY AWAY! I paid $333 for two hours of labor for a diagnosis and a relearn procedure that I was told would resolve the issue. At no point was I contacted to authorize any additional work beyond the diagnosis. I was later informed that the vehicle was fixed and paid the invoice, hoping the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, the problem remained. When I returned, I received conflicting explanations. First, I was told there were no detectable issues. Later, I was told the transmission needed to be replaced. I was also repeatedly told that the repair I suspected would not fix the problem. Even so, I asked them to provide a quote for that repair since a transmission replacement was not financially practical. I was told they would call me with a quote and credit one hour of labor, but I never received a call. After nearly a month of poor communication and an unrepaired vehicle, I decided to purchase the part and perform the repair myself. More than 100 miles later, the vehicle is operating normally. The repair that I was repeatedly told would not solve the issue ended up resolving it completely. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and am out $332 with no resolution provided by the shop.

I dropped my truck off on Saturday, March 14th at 9:00 AM. Around 2:30 PM, I received a call that the four tires I requested to have replaced was ready for pick up. After paying $1,061.57 for the tires and labor, I drove off the lot only for my truck to begin violently shaking, forcing me to pull over immediately. I contacted my husband, who came to assist, but the truck was undrivable. I returned to Stress Free Auto Care and explained the situation. At that point, my husband was already waiting for a tow truck. Instead of addressing the issue, we were told they were closing and would not inspect the vehicle until Monday. I could hear the mechanic complaining that he was tired and didn't want to wait around when the manager went to speak to him. I specifically asked if anyone actually drove my truck to test it and was told no they did not road test it. Obviously. Due to the poor customer service and urgency of the situation, we had the truck towed to Toyota of Orange. After inspection, we were informed that the lug nuts had been grossly over-tightened, three were broken and one was missing entirely. This was not a minor mistake; it caused significant damage to the wheel components and created a serious safety hazard. Proper torque is a basic standard that any competent shop should follow, yet it was clearly ignored. No one from Stress Free Auto Care contacted us at any point the following week. After Toyota kept the truck for a week and a half, we were left with a repair bill of $3,332.03. My husband sent a certified letter to Stress Free Auto Care, including documentation of the damages and requesting reimbursement. The manager eventually responded, offering to reimburse only the cost of the tires without acknowledging the additional damages or expenses incurred. As a result, we have filed a lawsuit to recover our losses. I strongly caution anyone to use Stress Free and to choose a business that values safety, accountability, and professional standards.

I got three other quotes up to $2600 requiring to replace the bumper and paint the fender to match! The car is over 5 years old but the entire body is in great shape. I wasn't looking for a perfect repair. Lawrence at the start asked if I wanted a perfect restoration or something reasonable. I definitely wanted something reasonable because I didn't want to go through my insurance company for an aging car. After he finished the repair, you can't even notice any damage. I wish more body shops were more honest like Signature Auto body. Their prices are fair and they accept both credit card and cash/Zelle (if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge). During the oil change they also noted some things that will need repair, but weren't pushy with their recommendations. For that I am very appreciative, and will most definitely come back for their continued services.

I spent a lot of money on my car last year in 4-5 different shops. Even after I found Titan (Thanks Yelp!), I had several expensive repairs. The sum total was worth more than the car but I kept it going despite the odd $300, $500 or $900 job here and there. My first job with Titan however cost $0 until confirmation a few weeks later that the problem was fixed. I don't remember all the details but the internal theft lock system was malfunctioning and given my concern over another expensive job, instead of taking the whole dash apart (or something like that), they went through it piece by piece, fixing and cleaning any small things along the way. When they could no longer replicate the error, they gave me the car back and said to drive it for a couple weeks and pay the balance if it was solved or they could continue inspecting if it wasn't. In the end, I needed a new ignition switch but that experience of a shop letting a car off the lot without paying up front made an impression. There would be other repairs for other issues in the months following. I could have gone back to other shops to spend less money but unfortunately, you're then dealing with less than thorough mechanics, some that don't correctly diagnose the problem, or make 2 or 3 repairs before actually figuring out what's really wrong. I know with Titan I'm getting straight answers and great service. Even more helpful is that they are always able to give me a ride home or to work and, when the job is done, pick me up from those places as well. It makes it so much more convenient To end, I'll just add my most recent experience. In January, I came in as a low coolant light came on. I didn't have time to leave the car so they did a quick inspection and filled the bottle until I could come in a week or two later at which time the bottle needed to be replaced along with, I believe, my water pump. In late March, again the light appeared. Again, I came in not having time to leave the car. Thankfully, they again filled the bottle. Last week, when I dropped it off, they found the bottle was cracked so they replaced that on warranty and put in a new thermostat for a little less than $150. Great service, guys! read more

I've been taking my cars to Titan Automotive for years and they have always done an excellent job. So far I've never been stranded with an automotive problem, so they are doing something right! If I was to summarize the reason I continue to take my cars to them, it is because of the trust relationship. When they diagnose problems or recommend maintenance, they are accurate and priced fairly. Often they provide options for what needs to be done immediately, versus what can be delayed a bit. The other thing I like is that they provide a ride to work so I don't have to try to find a ride or spend all day in the shop waiting. Let me end with a story that illustrates the service level of Titan Automotive. Recently I felt some strange engine hesitations when driving the car at a constant speed. I couldn't tell if it was the engine, an accessory, or the transmission. Titan road tested the car and was able to feel the issue. They hooked it up to the diagnostic computer and found that one of the ignition coils was randomly failing and that the spark plugs (rated for 110,000 miles, but with 98,000 miles on them) were showing wear. When Mike called, he gave me 3 options. 1) Replace coil only. 2) Replace coil and spark plugs. 3) Diagnostics only and I replace the parts myself. I chose option 2 and the car is now driving like it is brand new. I can't believe how smoothly the engine on my 10 year old car runs now. My point is, there was an opportunity to take advantage of me, but they didn't take it and never take it. If you want an honest shop, this is the place to come. read more

I had an outstanding experience at Titan Automotive. After being quoted nearly $7,000 at Pep Boys, I decided to get a second opinion, and I'm so glad I did. The Mike took the time to thoroughly explain what was actually going on with my car. I am a customer since 1996. They did everything from oil changed to putted in a new engine for my cars. Always great!! They are honest, professional, and excellent in every way. They will pick you up and drop you off anywhere you want to go; even to my home which is about 13 miles away! I sure that if I wanted to go 26 miles it would be all right, too. As a single mom, many times I did not have enough money to pay the whole bill; the owners Mike and Dawn would allowed me to make payments that were comfortable for me. They took real great care of my car. They looked over everything. They always explain everything in a lay term for me; gave me options and let me know what need to be done and how much for parts and labor. I have been repairing my two cars Lincoln Navigator and Chevy Cruze with Mike, and I was very the way conduct business. They are very prompt and affordable shop. I was treated special and so I am forever grateful. I had some financial problems, and they were patient for me to pay them. I also had to wait till now for my accident settlement. What is there to say about Titian Automotive? well for starters, i have been going here since i 1st started driving at 18 and now 25. They have GREAT customer service and really get to know the people they are helping. With in the years i have gone to titian, i was in college and i really liked that they found the parts i needed for my repairs at a reasonable cost. I will continue to go to Titian and keep recommending people i know, the best part of Titian, is that they are honest people and will not give you the run around like most dealers do! Very professional automotive repair business. HONESTY! that's what I appreciated from my visit to TITAN repair shop. I got an estimate from another shop telling me I needed to replace several parts. When I brought my car to Titan, Mr. Arun WURMS Service Manage, told me he would take a look for a comparative estimate. Instead of trying gouge me like the other shop, he said I did not need those parts replaced and the repair would only cost $296.00 instead of the $1,600.00 the other shop quoted. One of our service trucks needed urgent repair after it caught fire from the power socket. Titan Automotive went above and beyond to resolve our issue. They opened the shop for us and worked after hours to make the needed repairs. BEWARE SCAM ALERT!!!! Bought a Groupon for 4 brake install, then I went there and they upsell claiming the brakes in the ad have no warranty!!!! therefore pay up an extra $160.00 extra. He would not give the name of the no warranty brakes pads he knew so much about claiming he still had to buy them at the time of the appointment. These guys are an overpriced rip off!. They ripped off my mom so badly that i am considering calling the City of Orange on them. In my opinion they are scam artists who took advantage of a single woman because i was out of the country and my mom is divorced. A few hours later, I called for an update and was told they had found a parasitic battery drain and needed to run additional tests. Later that day, they called back and said the problem was simply a faulty battery and that replacing it would solve the issue. I approved the repair, which ended up costing about $430 for the battery. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed that some of the electronics were not working correctly and it still felt like the battery was being drained. Because the original diagnosis didn't seem to match the symptoms, I took the vehicle to Al's Electric Repair in Anaheim, a shop that had successfully fixed an electrical issue on another vehicle of mine. Al's quickly identified a parasitic drain caused by a camera installed inside the cabin. Once they repaired the drain, the electrical issues disappeared and the car has been running properly ever since. What concerns me is that the first shop initially told me they had found a parasitic drain, but later concluded that the battery was the only problem. Whether the battery needed replacement or not, the actual drain remained and was causing the issues I brought the car in for. Based on my experience, Al's Electric Repair accurately diagnosed and repaired the problem, and they have now successfully resolved electrical issues on two of my vehicles.

No need to replace the lines cause only a 400 lb gorilla would break those He charged me $460 for it, which was way cheaper than the $1800 the dealership wanted. If the lines broke, it would be about $100 for the lines. Good thing Drew isn't a 400 lb gorilla, cause the lines didn't break.
