MEO MYO is one of few restaurants in this town that provides a menu devoid of the usual fried fast food or burgers you will run into in most establishments in the area, and I was presently surprised as to how good the food was. I had the gumbo, and as one previous commenter mentioned, it's not NOLA but it's still the best gumbo I've had in the state of Illinois (outside of Chicago). Wasn't raised on the stuff but I went to undergrad in Mississippi so I like to think I can at least tell the difference between good and bad gumbo. Cornbread was also pretty good. Definitely give it a shot, I'll be back to try the etouffee and the shrimp and grits at some point in the near future. Attached is the menu-- Couldn't find it on here or anywhere online. Hope it helps

No place to eat unless it is nice outside so everything is packed to-go. As of right now they only accept cash. Great burgers and what seems like a rotating menu. Four stars because the food was good, it had good service, the only problem being that as of now it is cash only and I will need to hunt down a spoon in my car for my creamed corn.
