On tv show you see people getting awesome things for very cheap, but I've never experienced it, that is until now. This place is absolutely amazing! This place is exceptionally dirty, unorganized, and has no rhyme or reason, and I wouldn't have it any other way! It is a thrifters dream. Don't wear something nice, you will get dirty. If you have allergies, take a Claritin before hand. It is worth a visit, trust me! They have furniture, China, glassware, lamps, art, kitchen stuff, old nuts/bolts/fittings, old tools, and more. They have a little bit of everything. It's a labyrinth of small paths, dead ends, strange rooms, all full to the ceiling with stuff, literally stuff hanging from the ceiling.

If you are from the area, you know Nine Mile Stretch. If not - 55 aka Grant Street. So, Wednesday evening, my better half was in from out of state, traveling from a work location, he came up the Nine Mine Stretch and saw their sign. Thursday morning, we found the place. Quaint setting on a "real" farm. We didn't know they were having an Open House and had recently re-opened after the winter months. By the time we left, the parking lot was packed and the shop was a beehive of activity. When we arrived, right at 10, they had just opened and there were already a couple shoppers. We were greeted sincerely and warmly - and I watched that sincere interest in customers (brand new or established) over and over and over while I was there. Better half was pleased with antique selection - spoke about it numerous times over the past couple days. As for me - candles galore, gift items - from small budget stocking stuffers to larger items - kept me fully engrossed and I know I didn't see the full shop. What a wow factor and attention to detail. Customer service was spot on perfect. If you love going to Brown County, Indiana even half as much as I do - you will be head over heels about this unique antique and gift shop. If you are looking for that special gift, or want to treat yourself - a must stop. Put this place on your shopping list - I'm betting you'll leave with some unforgettable purchases.

There are some very nice mahogany and walnut pieces. I need to save up some cash. The building is really quite deceiving, there is just room after room to walk through. I really thing things were priced to sell. Some if the things were priced similar to what you would pay for a cheap modern day made-in-China piece. But as you carefully use some of these pieces they only appreciate in value instead. This is a must see shop. Give them a call ahead to see if they are open. It's owner operated without outside help so there are times they need to close up shop for the day.

I felt like I was in a museum because items offered were hundreds of years old and most I have never seen for sale before. Their Toby mug collections were incredible and all the items I saw were fairly priced considering the age and value. people commented on their post that the store was too crowded with items but I loved that about the store. I spent over an hour just looking at all these incredible treasures and loved every minute of it. I wished there were more items crammed in this vast store so I could have stayed all day. The owner is an absolutely darling man who is so knowledgeable and friendly. I love to look at all the items but am not looking for expensive stuff and he didn't seem to mind that my purchase didn't amount to more than $20.00. I got an awesome Carnival glass cake plate for $9.00 and a Fire king bowl for $5.00... both were a great deal. check this place out because it is a hidden treasure for antiques!

Me and my father go to flea markets during the spring through late fall every week and this is…read moreeasily the worst one we've gone to. We've been to this place about 3 or 4 times Tiny amount of sellers... like less than 30. Some of these guys just slap a couple things on a table and sit there all day waiting for that one person who's looking to buy whatever it is they have. Why someone would waste their time to set up a place at the flea market to sell one or 2 things is very confusing but whatever. Then when you do come across a person selling a good amount of stuff its usually A. dirty as hell, or not working. B. Very expensive C. Nothing of interest. There are 2 examples that i remember (its been about a half year since we've been here) One lady who resells video games had a copy of Vigilante 8 for the ps1 and some GBA game. The price for both of them together was 6 bucks. I asked if she would take 5 bucks instead of breaking a 10. She looked at me and groaned and replied with "eh if i have to" You could have just said either yes or no. Whats with the attitude? I almost bought something else from her but her shitty attitude killed it for me. Then there was this other dude in the far back of the place selling fireworks, children's toys and video games. As soon as we walked over there the guy was eyeing me like i was going to steal something. I saw a SEGA Game gear on the table with about 30 games. I opened the case to look at it and this guy flew off his chair and stood next to me. I asked how much he was asking and he came up with 400 bucks. He also for the record smelled terrible... You know when you get the paper or some magazine there'll be a sample of perfume or cologne? It was like he opened the samples and rubbed them all over his body. Fowl... I quickly shut the case and said ok thank you. He bullshits and says something like how it comes with all these expensive games and whatnot. I didnt say anything to him but i wanted to tell him he was full of shit. Game gear games... well at least the ones he had i could pick up at DiscReplay for less than 3 bucks each. Plus none of them had any cases or manuals which for me as a collector is a big factor. I dont really see any reason to come to this flea market to either buy or sell when the Uncle Johns market is not even 5 minutes away and is a million times better than this one. Hell maybe thats why it doesnt have much going on, maybe all the people go to uncle johns instead of this market. Who knows either way i wouldnt come here if i were you.

It was in a day that their flea market wasn't operating so we went into the barn which appears to be their main area. Tucked away down a quiet, tree-lined country road setting feels beautifully remote--peaceful, private, and full of charm. So very worth the drive! The barn itself is nothing short of magnificent. With soaring two-story beamed ceilings and thoughtfully curated décor, every corner is filled with unique vintage finds sourced from around the world. The creative lighting alone is stunning and creates an unforgettable atmosphere, whether you're hosting a daytime gathering or an evening event. There is even an Airbnb guest apartment inside the barn! Inside, the over 5000 sq feet of event space is both elegant and functional. The long, 12-foot wooden tables add to the rustic sophistication, and the full-service kitchen makes hosting seamless. There's also plenty of parking, which makes things easy for guests--something I've found is often overlooked but so important. What truly sets this place apart is its heart. The property is situated on an 80-acre animal rescue acreage, and the events hosted there help support that meaningful mission--something as a guest I felt good about being part of. And a special mention goes to Jen, the hostess, who is warm, incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Her attention to detail and genuine care make the entire experience even more memorable. In my opinion, whether you're planning a special event, wedding, or simply visiting, Blue Moon Barn offers a one-of-a-kind experience that blends rustic beauty, thoughtful design, and purpose in the most wonderful way.
