It's no secret that Mesilla is my favorite town in the area with all of it's historic shops and restaurants. Now, I have one more reason to make trips to Mesilla (taking the back roads of course) on the weekly.
Tis the Season, A Christmas and Holiday Shoppe.
You won't find anything like Tis the Season in Mesilla or Las Cruces or El Paso or Horizon or Canutillo or any other city you can think of in a 2-hour driving vicinity (possibly further). Right now the store is a quarter Thanksgiving and three-quarters Christmas. And there are so many amazing finds!
In the past couple of weeks we've driven through Mesilla for one reason or another and just now noticed Tis the Season even though it's located on the main street you take when driving through Mesilla to Las Cruces. Located inside a beautiful home, Tis the Season, just feels like Christmas from the second you park.
We walked in to a shop that was loaded with holiday trinkets, statues, wall decor, table runners, ornaments, and more. We really just wanted to go in and check it out, but after we walked through the first room, I knew I wasn't leaving without a snowman, Santa Claus, or reindeer. Everything was just wonderful and this is going to sound weird, but it smelled like Christmas inside.
We ended up picking up a gorgeous white table runner with an intricate poinsettia design and a white reindeer figure with red writing (that is now resting happily on our mantle) for $51. Prices were great and I know these are decorations we're going to use year after year after year.
I'll definitely be back for all of my holiday decor needs and there's no doubt in my mind that nearly all of our Christmas decor will be furnished by Tis the Season! This place is an adorable shop with tons to choose from. So much so that you could pick one theme, like snowmen, and be able to completely decorate your entire house. read more
