The woman who helped me, Kerry, a ceramicist, was helpful and pleasant. The gallery is cozy and features 30 artists. The works were all affordable. My favorite artists represented by the gallery are the painter, Judy Bess; the photographer, Steven W. Martin; and, of course, Ms. MacQuarrie. The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery is a bit of an oasis amidst a square full of kitschy t-shirt shops.

Just a little tick down from five stars because it's a rather small gallery. That is not to say there is a lack of artwork. The gallery is packed with a wide variety of works comprising two and three-dimensional mediums. They have everything from art & apparel to vintage motorcycles and jewelry and despite it all being quite eclectic it all comes together to make a wonderful artistic experience. I actually heard about it because a local ceramics artist was selling her tequila cups there and I had to have one. But what I found was a place that I could spend hours in just admiring everything. And it really feels like they are bringing a unique artist community together under one roof. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and although they only have weekend hours they all can set you up with appointments.
