I have purchased jewelry over the years here, and on this visit, I fell in love with a turquoise cuff bracelet and purchased it, however what I didn't care for is the credit card convenience charge of 4%. They do not accept checks, and who is going to carry that amount of cash with them? This was a first here! Since when did the merchant transfer that charge to the customer? Not happy with that at all. 3/5

I was thrilled to find Las Cruces Candy Co Pecan Brittle in several Chile flavors from Green to Habanero (& plain) - perfectly individually packaged & priced ($4.75) to buy as souvenir gifts for family & co-workers (bought 26 but should have bought more - big hit). Chile & Pecans are a big crop in NM & Las Cruces in particular; I like to give gifts of local stuff. The store is bit overwhelming - jam packed with stuff on different levels & fancy stuff too - which I hadn't expected given its rough exterior. I recall it being very, very quiet too - I'm more relaxed with some kind of background noise.

When we arrived there were no other customers and the two ladies working that day were on us like white on rice the entire time. They followed us around every inch of the store and commented and complimented every item we even so much as laid eyes on. It was Uber annoying so we left empty handed. The sales associates should learn to read the customers and adjust. It was clear we just wanted to browse on our own and their constant barrage of sales tactics drove us right out the door.
