we were on a road trip from Cincinnati to St. Louis and our low tire pressure light came on at 6:15. After stopping to check we realized we had a major leAl. I called tires plus and Jake offered to squeeze us in right before closing. There was sidewall damage so the tire couldn't be patched. Jake's team stayed late so we wouldn't have to spend the night in town. Amazingly we had four new tires installed and we are back on the road back by 7:20. This was an exceptional customer experience and we would highly recommend Jake and his team at the Plainfield Indiana tires plus location. I took my truck here for an oil change & tire rotation. I scheduled the service & was quoted $103 & change. Next day I brought it in for the service & the charge had changed to $167 & change. I still had them do the service. Then when I drove my truck after picking it up, the oil pressure guage stayed pinned to the top & stays that way now when the truck is running. Turns out the oil pressure sensor quit working during/after they did the oil change. When I took it back to them to fix what broke on their watch, they said it would cost me $300 + tax for them to fix it. They wouldn't work with me on price. I've owned GM's my whole life & never had this problem. I normally change my own oil but due to a hand injury and surgery I needed it done by a shop and Tires Plus is less than a 1/2 mile from my house. So that's where I took it. My mistake in hindsight. They have an overall 2 star rating for a reason I guess. I'm definitely far from a satisfied customer. I called corporate & filed a claim, they're supposed to get back to me within 48 hours with a solution. We'll see. Also while I was waiting a customer came in who had just had their brakes done & they were complaining that their brakes were going to the floor & not stopping the vehicle. How terrible is this place? Avoid this Tires Plus and go elsewhere, I'll never take a vehicle to these sub-par "mechanics" ever again. Zero stars, if that was an option. Beware of taking your car here . They will rob you blind . Tell you things need to be fixed "and it's dangerous " when in fact they don't then after they fix something and your vehicle is completely screwed up the items they supposedly fixed they will give you a hard time about warranting it . The "managers" are the most rude unprofessional people I have ever seen . What's sad is my best friends father had to deal with this until they finally had no choice but to replace an engine because one of their guys screwed it up . This place is very incompetent and the people in charge are awful . Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for scheduled oil change! Most of the wait was consumed by the infamous air filter they always want you to change. I later found out they didn't have it in stock and they had to send delivery man to get one. I was not informed of this until over an hour into the wait. And the way I was informed was 'the delivery truck is on the way.' When checking out, I was told advertised coupon (which I planned on using) was limited to 5 quarts - apparently just less than my car required. Deceiving business practices just to get you in the door. First and last time going. read more

This is the longest that I've ever had the same issue. My breaks are squealing so I took my car to this location on 08/18, and after paying $413.77 to completely replace my break pad and rotor which took 4 hours and 30 minutes w/ an appointment, as I'm drive out of their parking lot I hear the squealing. 2 days later on 08/20, I did a walk in and they inspected my car to see the problem and offered to redo the job. I had my 3rd appointment on 8/25, they redid the front brakes complementary. However it took 6 and a half hours w/ an appt, and it was still squealing so I went online and made yet another appointment. Appointment #4 was on 08/27, it took 2 hours w/ appt, and they redid my from and rear brakes. I gave this Tire Plus 2 stars. My reasons being is that I have been there on 4 separate occasions and they still haven't found a solution to my squealing problem. Secondly, because they don't prioritize appointments over walk-ins, it's seems to be first come first serve. However, I did go there in December to have my tires replaced and they did a good job. But a 6 hour wait while having an appointment it just not fair to anyone. I honestly wouldn't advise coming here. read more

Great Service!! They went above and beyond what I expect from a car shop. Came in needing to get two tires fast before a trip. They found a problem that was I was aware of, just didn't know it was that bad. Because I was leaving the next morning for vacation they busted butt to get my van done and stayed way over! They are very reasonably priced: if I would have gotten this done at a dealership it would have been $600 more! Will def be heading back in a few months to get my other two tires and would recommend them to anyone!! read more

I made an appointment here because CarX was closed. They are much more pricey than CarX and try to upsell 'things.' My windshield washer fluid pump quit working and they wanted to charge me $200+ to fix this. I had it fixed at a later date for under $150. My car needed a new set of tires so I took it to Tires Plus in Plainfield Indiana. My husband has done a lot of business with them. He has sent me previously his children previously to have service done no problem but Thursday I set an appointment for 5 PM. I arrive to my appointment greeted by Karen the front desk assistant. Five thirty rolls around Karen comes to me and ask are you busy tomorrow I say yes working she says well we are double booked and understaffed is there anyway we can reschedule. Mind you I live on the east side of Indianapolis I have driven all the way to Plainfield because they have done work for me before and my Husband has an account with them. Gas wasted but I agree to reschedule. We decided to reschedule for Saturday at noon I get there at 11:30 am. Once again greeted by Karen. So I ask Karen how long will it take. In response she says a couple of hours. I call Karen at 2:15 PM Karen states your vehicle is up in the air it should not be much longer. An hour later Karen calls me back asking me what size tires do I have I advised her I told Rob 17. She didn't states oh they sent us the wrong size tires they sent us 16. I did put my husband on the phone to speak with her on speaker. Not only does Karen begin to get rude and disrespectful she does not have a solution to my problem which is new. So after being rude for a moment Karen that is my husband then ask for a manager. The shop manager gets on the phone does not state his name immediately started apologizing and stated no one in the city can get my size tires for my vehicle. Shop manager out of town district manager out of town until Tuesday. So the manager begins to get rude stating he cannot help my situation and told us to come and get the vehicle. Once arrived on site I see Karen not once did she greet me nor apologize for my inconvenience immediately went to search for my keys. Manager comes out apologetic but at this point apologies was not helping my situation. So not only did I leave with no tires but very bad customer service definitely left a sour taste in my mouth I will not be doing any more business with Tires plus in Plainfield. I do not recommend anyone to get services done there. Being understaffed should never be the customers problem stop over booking appointments! read more

I HAD liked this place. Had been there several times for oil changes and for tire and wheel issues. Never again. Last winter was pothole hell in central Indiana. During the winter, I hit one of those potholes and started slowly losing air in that tire. Took it to them. They diagnose as a bent rim and had the problem fixed. No problem. Into spring, before pothole repair was completed, I hit a couple more. I noticed that I had TWO tires slowly leaking. I went in, TOLD them that I'd hit potholes AND that the problem was likely bent rims. They couldn't find anything and sent me on my way. The problem continued and I was in there at least one other time and it seems like two, before I went in last week. Still couldn't find anything. Last week it got to me and I took it in again. Their answer? "Well, you do have bent rims but those tires are damaged. We can replace the tires but we think the rims are good enough that you'll be OK." Also, their description of the damage, something like, "rippled all over," sounded to me like damage that would be done because it has run low. $209 later, I'm out the door with two new tires and the same, unstraightened rims. One or two mornings later, I get in to go to work and the tire light is on. Figure out which one it is, get out the jack and get ready to put the spare on. Neither I, nor my 27 year old (read: STRONG) son could get one of the lug nuts off -- using an 18-24" cheater! They had just put this on so it wasn't corroded -- they'd WAY overtightened it. Called them and they sent a tow truck and took it in. Finally, they sent the wheels out to be straightened. Now though, they want another $200+. I asked them to split the cost with me as I felt that a lot of the trouble was on them. They took off $20 and complained that they had already paid a tow bill that shouldn't have been on them. OK, the wheel repair should have been mine. BUT, 1) If they'd found the bent rims the first time I took it in -- and SUGGESTED that it was bent rims -- I might not have needed the tires! 2) If they'd fixed the wheels FIRST, even if I DID need tires, I wouldn't have needed the tow! 3) If they hadn't overtightend the lug nut, I'd have put the spare on and wouldn't have needed the tow! So, YES, the tow SHOULD have been on them! Even at that, I think I probably wouldn't have needed tires it they'd found and fixed the wheels initially! So I'm out around $440 when I should have been out about $220. Don't go there! read more

We will not be returning to Tires Plus after being long time customers after receiving poor customer service following an incident regarding an oil change. After calling my husband a liar and refusing to rectify the issue that they caused, we will not be returning. We took our vehicle to another location who confirmed the issue was caused by the Plainfield location and rectified it at no charge. That should have at least warranted an apology. Our attempts to send our complaint in writing to the corporate office have resulted in returned mail. I rolled like contact information got someone at the corporate level. read more

Had our vehicle towed here. Called ahead of time to ensure they would be able to work us in and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Once it was towed there they said it would need to be checked first thing the next morning. We understood that. Called a few hours after they opened next morning and they stated we would be next. Called again around 12pm and they said they were short staffed and unsure of time. Called back since they were going to be closing in a few hours and they still hadn't checked car. The shop manager was extremely rude and we ended up having AAA tow the vehicle to another shop down the road. We couldn't trust their timeframes and considering how rude the lady answering the phone/ manager was we decided to take our vehicle somewhere else. We were thrilled with the new locations service and won't be recommending this location to anyone. They must have assumed since the car was towed there we would just accept whatever type of rude service they were offering. Hopefully others will have better experiences and they will improve their rime estimates and customer service. read more

Got into an accident and busted my tire and had to leave my car sitting in the middle of the road. Called around everywhere to get a new tire and they were all closed due to it being Memorial day and the places that were open told me I had to wait an hour or two. When I got here they helped me out and got my tire put on the rim in 5 minutes for me. Would definitively recommend this place. They were super friendly and helpful and made sure to get it done fast for me knowing my situation. read more

Recently my girlfriend went in to have a tire replaced after she hit a pothole. I have no complaints with the tire,but because of what happened next I WARN EVERYONE TO BEWARE. They gave her an estimate for coolant service telling her the coolant was old and dirty. When she told them the coolant system had been done in December only FOUR MONTHS BEFORE, The mechanic and the manager on duty stared at each other and tried to cover their butts by saying "You can never be too careful". Similar to the previous reviews, I always had a great experience with Tires Plus in Plainfield. Their employees are professional and courteous and not overly aggressive with sales. However, I recently brought my car in to repair a damaged tire. I also had been experiencing alignment issues prior to the damaged tire, so I asked them to check the alignment as well. I was told that my tire was repairable, but that I had "bent bushings" on the axle for the same tire. I was quoted a price in excess of $ 300.00 for the repairs. Due to the cost, I decided to get a second opinion. As I drove my car to another shop I couldn't help but notice that my car was driving fine. I did not notice any alignment issues. The second shop took a look at my car and agreed that there was nothing wrong with the bushings and/or the alignment. I am seething right now because I had previously trusted Tires Plus for work on my car without getting second opinion. I have probably paid $ 750.00 worth of repairs this calendar year. I'd like to think this was an anomaly, but I can't help wonder if any of the other repairs they performed were legitimate. Needless to say, I will always get a second opinion ! read more

Donniece, I really don't have much of an inclination to justify or defend myself to you, but, since you called me a liar, I will go ahead and take the time to set things straight. 1. You were not in the lot with the technician who inspected the rims and you did not see my car, so your reference to "curb rash" is completely fabricated unless, of course, there was discussion without my presence after I left. That would be another very unprofessional move on their part. 2. The second time I went inside to talk to the manager was after the technician outright lied to me and then tried to cover his behind by saying that it's impossible to change a tire without ruining the rims and suggesting that I go and buy a can of touch up paint to cover up what he just finally admitted to doing. So, I was very frustrated with the runaround they were giving me. That manager was rude and standoffish from the get go, so what kind of a reaction would he expect? 3. I started my review off by saying my family has been a customer of theirs for a long time, so we have always had good experiences until now. They are the cheapest and most convenient for me, so I wanted them to do well and take care of the problem. There is a simple resolution; they just didn't want to deal with it. 4. I'm glad you had a great experience, but mine was different and you witnessed 15 seconds of a 2 hour ordeal. Before you go around calling people liars, you should really try to have at least some of the facts. read more

This is going to be a long, negative review unfortunately. I realize many won't read the whole length so I would summarize saying that this particular shop caused my car hundreds of dollars worth of damage due to their ineptitude. There are many other mechanics down the road, so I would strongly encourage you to seek out those before trying this shop. My problems started in late March when I had an oil change and coolant flush. Unbeknownst to me, the mechanic left a funnel stopper in my car which ended up wedging itself up against the radiator and burning out my fan. When another mechanic at the new Avon Kia Service Center found it in my car I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since mistakes happen. I was thinking it was the size of cap or some other small object that could have easily gone unseen, but this tool is nearly the length of my forearm (a picture is attached). This is pure laziness and carelessness on the mechanic's part. Do they not count their tools? Kia told me the new fan would cost $499. Tires Plus agreed to pay for it, but insisted that they install the fan since it was their mistake and they did not want to pay a Kia mechanic. The day the fan came in we dropped the car off at TP by 2pm and the car was finally ready at 7pm that evening. Well, the fan didn't work. While driving home a couple of days later on a really hot day, I noticed my car never seemed to really cool down even with the AC all the way up. My engine temperature light also came on as my engine was overheating quickly. The repair person at TP never checked to see if the fan actually worked before releasing the car to us. My husband later found out that a fuse needed replaced (no doubt as a result from the burnt out fan), so thankfully he was able to buy a new fuse and replace it himself. I'm very disappointed in the service I received at TP in Plainfield twice and will not be going back. We were offered no sort of refund for their services, which caused both of us a lot of time and stress. It's worth noting that we had two separate mechanics work on my car at TP (one who left the tool in the car and the other who didn't check the fuses), so this carelessness was not isolated to one particular mechanic. read more

I called to see if I needed am appointment for an oil change; not that busy, just come in. I allowed 45 minutes on a weekday morning (they guarantee 30 min. or less with an appointment). When I arrived, they were finishing one vehicle, and I was next. I asked them to change the oil, rotate the tires (was told this was free with the oil change), and replace the air filter(s). After 75 minutes, I went to the counter to tell them to forget about the air filter since that was the delay. No one would come inside from the garage area. I had to reschedule two appointments due to the "oil change" fiasco taking more than 90 minutes. I will not go back! read more

Where do I begin...? I came into this place in February to buy new tires for my car. Being a lady and not thinking to check them (because I assumed a legit business would know what they're doing), I failed to realize that they put OVERSIZED tires on my car. My sisters fiancé later inspected my car to discover that this loud scratching sound was due to the large tires that had intentionally been put on my car. I went back in last week to have them put the CORRECT size on my car. They completely ignored me when I walked in, didn't apologize for their mistake, didn't communicate with me. They knew that they put those tires on my car because they didn't have the right size to begin with! Good customer service is a MUST HAVE, and putting large tires on my car because you didn't want to lose a customer is definitely wrong. NEVER coming back here, and never recommending this business to anyone. read more
