!!!!!! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!! Long review because a lot of stuff went wrong: Ok. It all started with my the little tire indication light on my dashboard. I quickly google Tire spots nearby and see Tires Plus. With a name like that, they MUST know tires, right?! WRONG! I see online they have a $9.99 Car Care Package Deal, where they rotate tires, put air in them, balance tires, and fill up fluids. Sounds great. So I make an appt for tomorrow at 7am. Hannah at the front desk was super nice, told me it "they are really thorough so it will take 1.5 hours" Okay, I'm definitely okay with that. However, after THREE hours of being at Tires Plus waiting for my "Car Care Package".... I get my car back and THE TIRE DASHBOARD LIGHT IS STILL ON! I tell the mechanic about the light and he goes "oh, yeah, the air. Bring it over here". WUT? Sir, you forgot the put air in the tires???? What were you guys doing for THREE hours with my car?! OH BUT FRIENDS this is NOT where the story ends!!!! I didn't drive my car again until 2 days later and within 10 mins of driving... I get a FLAT TIRE! This cannot be a coincidence. This was the first drive after Tires Plus I get to a NTB for them to fix the tire. After they're done, their mechanic comes and tells me more bad news: EACH one of my wheel's lug nut is broken! NTB asked who was the last person to touch my wheels: TIRES PLUS 2 DAYS AGO!!! The NTB explained the the dude at Tire Plus stripped his lug nut machine in each one of my tire's lug nut. They are broken and stuck in them so badly- it was almost impossible for him to take my wheels off my car!!! Listen: A lug nut is a fastener used to secure a wheel on a vehicle! So I'm rolling around with missing lug nuts and broken ones ummm yeah, this sounds very unsafe!! The only saving grace was a very nice front desk lady named Hannah. Beyond that. I've come to this location a few times and had great experiences. The reps are very knowledgeable and attentive. I needed substantial work done and they essentially matched the price of another mechanic while providing a zero percent finance option with a longer warranty. After completing all the work, my husband and I came to pick up the car, but the key had been misplaced and we had to pick the car up the next day. The reps were very apologetic and offered to complete one suggested service for free and another at a significant discount. I recently found out Mr. Dan had retired, he always would assist me when I came in and was very cordial and knowledgeable; he seemed to keep things in order.. I went in today and it was pure chaos and confusion all over the place with about 5 customers waiting. I literally just wanted 1 tire plugged I received an invoice for $30 originally. They had my car for an hour and 30 minutes, came out, and informed me they were unable to plug my tire and I needed to replace all four of my tires and provided me with an invoice over $1000. I went to Shell Gas Station and got my tire plugged for $12 and was informed all my other tires were in pretty good shape. This is very devastating to see the morale go down like this I've been a long time customer and really did not want to go any place else. read more

I brought my 2004 MDX to the Tires Plus on Kellogg in awful Wichita Kansas. I had just put new Lower Control Arms and Inner & outer tie rods on. Went in for an alignment. The "tech" procedes to tell me my tie rods are on wrong. I bring the vehicle home and check my work and find they are installed correct. Poor service, rude and unconcerned workers, and clearly "techs" that have no clue. AVOID these morons. read more

Terrible customer service from the front desk at this particular location. More than once I have requested tire replacements with specific instructions as to where I wanted the tires placed and the work was done inncorectly. This means I need to send it back in the shop wait longer, the mechanic is pissed because he is working on the same vehicle again and forming an opinion of me because he was not given the correct information to begin with by the desk clerks. I've seen one mechanic slam tires after being asked to do work again on my vehicle. My vehicle has been finished and I have not received a call upon completion. I just drive back with a friend or uber back and my vehicle is sitting outside done. Done to their standards, just this weekend I made an appointment for the two tires in the trunk to be replaced and they replaced one and left the other busted tire in the trunk. I clearly wrote that I did not want the old firestone tires. I wrote what I wanted done on the paper I left in the drop box and in the comments of the online appointment I made clearly. They apparently only had one tire of the brand I needed, because Tim had to order another tire, yet did not inform me. So ofcourse I make another appointment, upon droping the car off for a tire replacement and alignment I'm informed that "all mechanical repairs are fist come firts serve." At wits end I call customer service to inform them of these events. While I'm on hold with customer service I receive a call from Tires Plus front desk Tim who says my vehicle is ready for pick up and begins to attempt to scold me for calling customer service. I informed him that I was on my way and that we could discuss it there. I arrive and he begins to complain about me calling customer service with a tone saying that "I should discuss it with him like a man!" Since it was not a two way discussion I told him that I was not going to argue with him. I asked if my car was done, he said yes. Another clerk was checking me out when I asked for the spec print out for my alignment he said he did not have it. He went out to ask the mechanics who worked on my vehicle and found that the alignment that was requested in the online appointment and the person I dropped the vehicle with was never done. Why Tim who I should discuss things with as a man had the mechanics pull my car out incomplete and called me to pick my car up has me baffled. I called customer service again, they called the store and I received my prorated tire free... The attitude of the front desk of this store needs to change. I have to say this place was great the two times I visited. Monica was the best at her job. Even thought they were short staffed at the time she was handling it very well. Answering the phone helping to get the customers in and out and then she even went to get me my tires and was very professional through it all, even when I called the next day to order 2 more tires. The next day I came in, they were still busy but still had time to help me get my two tires, one guy even asked was I being helped while he was on lunch. I highly recommend! read more

I took my baby in today, she was not feeling well, she had been complaining for some time now. After speaking with the gentleman in the front I felt confident they were going to be able to nurse her back to health. The mechanic was so polite when he was showing me the problems under he car and explaining what needed to be done. I had to wait a bit. I also know that car operations take time so I was prepared. They fixed my car, had me driving out of the parking lot feeling as if I was in a 2018 Honda Accord. Thank you for your service. read more

Previously the service was decent but on Feb 14th I took my car in for 2 front tires and a oil change, I left with the car making a loud noise and the smell of some kind of fluid burning. When they called to give an update about my car they said I would need a tire rod and bearings. I drove the car in that morning on the beltway no smells no noises and suddenly when I go to pick it up i made it less than 50yds away and noticed something wasn't right. Turn around took the car back the mechanic test drove the car with me in it heard the noise returns to the shop puts the car on the lift and tells me the axle is now magically damaged and they didn't cause it. To arrive on time for your 9.30a appointment only to be met with an empty front desk looking for a guest service person. Luckily that was only a 5mins or so wait. After check-in I proceeded to the wait area and it was at that moment I should have known that this was going to be a long morning, a waste of my time and that appointment times are really just a suggestion as 6-7 people waited before me. My appointment 4 new tires...I sat, waited patiently until someone came out around 11a informing me that I actually only needed 3 tires. Great you may think right? That means my car should be up and ready for the tire installation...nope. I waited as a new guest arrived and left within 20mins...again I asked what was the purpose of an appointment time? I was told to hold on he'll find out. That was now exactly an hour ago from that time. The lack of respect for ones time seems to be prominent here. As I'm still waiting on an update regarding service and going into my 4th hour waiting for the installation of 4 tires. Finally an update after following up on the status yet again since he never got back to me. Please explain to me how an appointment was made and the correct information was provided regarding car, service need, type of tires and how many and yet some how you only have 3 of the 4 available. Left the premises without informing the customer that an additional tire is needed and this is how much longer it will take? The patience is thin. But no surprise why my 1-1.5hr service is taking this long as two 8.30a appointments are still waiting on their vehicle as well. **A waste of almost 5hrs total was spent here. Now, I'm on the verge of pissed as I'm standing at the front desk waiting to be acknowledged. The phone is answered. There's typing on the computer. After the guest service rep enters the garage. All before actually acknowledging me by asking me what my last name is followed by they still haven't completed the service. I took my vehicle to Tires plus for a alignment and they didn't align it. I paid 200$ for a lifetime fool alignment. I took the vehicle back the following weekend. I asked the manager that if they could check-the alignment. He said yes I had one person ahead of you @ 1pm .I should be out the door by 2:30. At 3:15 after walking pass me 3 times .I asked what was going on .He talked to the mechanic and came back and said it would be another 30 min to get my vehicle in .I asked for my money and he said no and that the warranty was only through them .I asked for my keys.They didn't even need a gun ! If I could give zero stars I would. After spending close to $800.00 to have my ac fixed. I take it back today and they tell me that all along it must have been an electrical problem. But just to start I call to schedule an appointment with Landover. Leo says only available date is 4/24/21 for you to wait cause we only have one mechanic. I call corporate which in turn calls the manager that calls me. He says if you had said that date was unacceptable to the person that scheduled it they would have given you a different date. So I tell Leo the manager of that store that he was the one that schedule it. He gives me 4/3/21. Next day my low pressure light comes on and I call to add the tire problem to my ticket. Mike answers and doesnt see I am on 4/3/21 schedule. He reverses thst answer when I explain the whole thing. I get there today and Leo checks me in saying flat tire right. Seriously again I explain. So they decide ro give me back $350 on the $800 I spent that was apparently not necessary in the first place. Not $350 so I can use that to actually fix the problem but 350 on my tireplus credit card which has zero balance. So omg I will actually have to go back and get 350 worth of service for this to work out in my favor. I went in for three things: new tires, oil change and to repair the latch on my car. Within three hours of driving the car home, one of the new tires was flat, the latch would not open, and somehow the car part connecting the oil filter to the oil pan was damaged. I eventually lost all oil from my car. Fortunately, the folks at Tires Plus corporate agreed to replace the engine. read more

They deserve less then a star but apparently I have to rate them something. Actually, ignore the star I had to provide their score is -500 stars for unethical and fraudulent behavior.  My mother comes out of church and her car barely started and she felt like [it] barely made it to this Tires Plus on Ardwick-Ardmore road. They diagnose her car and tell her she needs a tune-up and a radiator flush. After "performing" the job they informed her one spark plug was difficult to get out and she would maybe need the dealer to remove that one. However, informed her with the 3 out of 4 plugs replaced on her 2014 Nissan Altima with 72k miles she would be fine, and that the car was running smoothly. She gets about a quarter mile from the location and it is still shaking and riding rough, and added to that the check engine light was now on! Rather then turn around close to 5pm on a Sunday, she chanced it home.  My mother made the decision to have the car towed to the dealer. She was informed it was not a tune-up that her car needed but a solenoid that needed to be replaced and that she also needed brakes and rotors! My mother obviously upset after paying $1600 to the dealer and her car is running smooth again goes and checks her previous car invoices. What she found was disturbing. Not only was she at that location that fateful day after church, but she had recently visited on May 20, 2019 about her brakes. At the time she was told she didn't need brakes and they provided her a brake flush, they also added a RADIATOR FLUSH! So, please yelpers tell me why in God's name would she need brakes and rotors on July 22, 2019 and the dealer flushed the brake fluid and noted it was low and dirty? Not only that, riddle me this? If TIRES PLUS performed a radiator flush on May 20, 2019, why would she need another one some 62 days later?! Yeah fraudulent just doesn't cut it. I scheduled my appointment for new tires. They were able to get me in the same day (that evening). They were prompt. My only issue would be that nobody told me about any deals or rebate. They didn't give me the option to keep one of the old tires for a spare. It was a given that they wouldn't tell me but it would've been nice just to mention these options giving how I interacted nicely with them after a long day at work. I also got oil change as well which went well however, they insisted upon telling me to replace my brakes because they claimed they were going bad. I paid over $500.00 for my oil gasket and a tune up. One week later my car was back in the shop; what did I need? A new oil gasket and a tune up. I had my vehicle towed back to Tires Plus, they told me they founded nothing the matter with my car even after I gave them the list from another repair center. I had a pretty good experience here. My car's wheels were out of alignment, the rotors were warped, and there was some other minor damage as well. I was able to drop my car off with short notice and they called me a couple hours later with a diagnosis and cost estimate. They ended up giving me what I think was a very fair, affordable deal, and my car was ready a few hours later. I will probably come back next time my car needs service. read more

I had an appointment scheduled but when I arrived I was told my car would not be ready for 2.5 hours. They neglected to inform me about the 1 hour tire service promise with an appointment, so I decided to come back 2 days later. I dropped my car off, and was told it would take 1.5 hours. 5 hours later, after multiple calls and being told it would be done in 20 min each call, I went to retrieve my car and it was done, even though I did not received a call from the store. This store has the worst customer service I have seen with an repair shop, and the worst thing is that they all have attitude problems. read more

On June 2, 2018, I visited the Landover location for a Vehicle Inspection and proceeding repair work. The total cost of the work done was $1,954.34. The Landover location failed to realize the Ignition Coil issue. This was discovered July 17, 2018, about 45 days, and less than 3,000 miles later by the vehicle inspection performed at the Capital Heights location. The recommended cost would have been an additional $1,847.35. My complaint is the Landover location should have caught this issue, and the Capital Heights location should not have charged me another $107.41 for the service. I'm in contact with the company so we will see how things go from there. read more

Worst experience ever. I dropped my car off today at 7:30 am. My tires according to mark were delivered at 11:30. I called at noon to ask the status and was informed of the recent arrival of my parts and that it would be finished around 2pm. I arrived at the shop at 2:15 and my car was still sitting in the same spot I left it untouched! Mark told me I would be next but a mechanic walking by told me it would be hours because they were short staffed. I'm confused as To why I wasn't informed of that in any part of the day. I'm also confused to how within the 3 hours of my tieless being delivered to me arriving at the shop my car was never brought into the shop. I ended up having to to take my tires to another shop "Just Tires" in lanham and they brought be right in no problems. I'll never go back to tires plus again. read more
