i called early this morning to see if there was availability for service this morning. I reached Tom Clark. Tom scammed the engine and determined i needed an alternator. He got me in and out as soon as possible. I've been going to Tires Plus ever since they were Tires USA, back in the 80's. Tom has serviced my family's cars for the past 20 or so years. Stopped in this morning about 7:30am. Due to the cold winter weather I had a tire saying that it was low. I asked the man at the desk if anyone could put some air in my tire for me. His response was my air lines are frozen and its too cold out there for all this you're going to have to come back when all this clears up. I have done alot of business with this location. Brakes, tires, and even oil changes. Also take in mind the tires on the car that need air were purchased there. Not sure if Ill be returning at this point. Took my car in on 5/22 for a standard oil change. just went to work and home. Had to go to Missouri to get paperwork. On the way back my car was struggling to accelerate, shift gears, and when I stopped to get gas the car didn't want to start at all. Upon arriving back to Louisville I had to work the next morning and a couple men at work were looking at my car with me and my oil was overfilled, said the wrong cap could have been taken off and my transmission fluid could have accidentally been drained. I then proceeded to take my car into a mechanic who I explained the issues I was having as my car had been perfectly fine prior to the oil change. I waited and when they called back they had said the same thing as the men at work the mechanic stated I could have burnt up the little bit of fluid left in there as it does not fully drain. The mechanic and I both called Tires Plus to let them know not a single person would drive to the mechanic shop to even look at the car. I got the car towed up there per their request and they proceeded to call and tell me the oil levels were perfect (I checked the oil myself as well as 2 other people, one being an actual mechanic shop), and that there was fluid in my transmission. Very disappointed with their service and diagnostic capabilities. Took my Ford SportTrak in because it was over heating and needed an oil change. They found a pin hole leak in the radiator and replaced that along with the thermostat and housing. They did not perform the oil change. Cost $2200. Truck continued to overheat. Took it back and they said they could not find any issues. The truck overheated again. This time it got so hot that the radiator and the thermostat housing cracked. Took it to another garage and found oil in with the radiator fluid and the oil had never been changed out. New garage found the head gasket was damaged. If the oil had been change, Michel Tire should have noticed radiator fluid in the oil, if the head gasket had been the problem. read more

These are the only people I will let work on my car! They check out any car before I buy it and I have experienced them catching things for me that other mechanics simply didn't such as a crack in the block of a car I was going to buy and the crack was the size of a pinhole. Other mechanics missed it so I would put this team against anyone. They let me know when they cannot fix something and the integrity of the team is surpassed by none. I would give this place more stars if it was possible because this is where you want to go for any type of automotive issues. Pricing is very fair too. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received here. Yes, they did something for my car, but it was not what I asked them to do. They decided what was best for my car and disregarded my opinions, which turned out to be a waste of my time and money since my initial problem was not fixed. They also were very disrespectful to me on the phone and in person, sighing heavily and rolling their eyes at me several times while talking to me. I have a feeling based on other reviews I've read that this place prioritizes their long-time, regular customers (as they should) and treats them with respect, but as a first time customer I felt very unwelcome and walked away disappointed. read more

I had a rattling noise after my car had been backed into in a Kroger parking lot and then couple days later our wonderful Jefferson county people had underground utility triangle in the middle of the road and I had to go to the far right and hit a pothole in the road. These guys came straight out and talk to me and one of the mechanic stopped because he heard sound as I pulled in & knew what it was. I'm lucky to be alive the wheel had broken and he could loosen the only two Lugnuts that were left with his fingers so they've had to wait for parts to come in - this is thanks to Joe Biden putt our world is in such a mess to get parts that we need. However, these men took care of me as they always have. This is the longest it's ever taken again due to parts and the quality is always there! Their records are great they told me exactly how many miles I'd put on this car since my tires were put on . I can't say enough good things about them. My family has taken our vehicles here for years. I got a flat tire this morning and not only did they get me in quickly, they were kind, courteous, and very professional. They even gave me advice on dealing with the insurance company. They are friendly and do quality work at great prices. They are also honest and don't give you the run-around. This place is beyond being just a joke. The 'mechanics' are incompetent and are only qualified to do simple repairs and the guys at the front desk are there to sell you anything that they can convince you that you need. they DO get commission on EVERYTHING they sell. But my biggest complaint is that they had my car from May 23rd until June 5th. In all that time I never received a single call. I finally called them up at 6:50 pm on June 5th and told the guy that answered to put my keys in the floorboard and I was coming up with a tow truck to get it. To my surprise, he actually did it. He didn't so much as ask me what the problem was. But this was the problem: I drove a running and driving car there to find out the cause of a cold start issue. Fourteen days later it was leaving on the back of a wrecker because it would no longer start. To anyone reading this: They're going to screw you. Had one of their tires repaired and was overcharged. Told they do patch not plug, so Ok but got home and saw invoice, which I did not look at in shop (my bad) and saw I had been charged 12.99 to balance tire. Tired had just been balanced in September, and furthermore I was not asked or made aware they were going to balance. I have been a faithful customer, no more, even if tired needed balance, Big O does all balancing for free, so 12.99 was an overcharge, fix cost 2/3 of price of new tired for car.
