Besides great service, I have to add a note on service to the disabled. Their bathroom is fully equipped for the disabled. Besides the usual grab bars, they have an elevated toilet seat. I have never seen this in all the places I frequent. Disabled bathrooms always stop with the grap bars. My vehicle was making an intermittent clunking noise in the front end that just did not sound right, but could not figure out what it was. I have been a long-time customer of the Tires Plus franchise, so took my SUV to this store to have it evaluated. Technician drove my car and quickly diagnosed that it sounded like a loose wheel. Sure enough found that two of the five lug nuts were only hand tight and a third was not properly torqued. Not only did he fix this wheel, but checked all the other tires, did a rotation and checked for any other potential issues. Had the car for about an hour and only charged me for the cost of a Total Car Care inspection. Glad I took it in when I did because I could have lost a wheel while driving and no don't even want to think about what would have happened. Thanks for the great customer service! read more

My rear tire was leaking air after I replaced it at Tires Plus. The issue was not the tire or the install, but corrosion on the wheel rim itself. Tires Plus cleaned the rim and reinstalled the tire at no charge. They also gave me advice on the proper rims to order when I ultimately replace them. Tires Plus: if my dad thinks I should go to there, then I go to there. In this case, it was a case of a cracked wheel... no bueno! So, to Tires Plus I went at the behest of my vehicle-loving father. Easy peasy. The guy at the front desk was suuuuper nice. Walked us through everything. (He may have been the manager? I'm not sure.) Based on the in/out experience, super quick timeline, and front desk dude friendliness, I'd be giving this place five stars! That said, it gets a little hairy after that. Not long after I got back to MKE, I noticed the car was sort of "off-balance." Shaky, if you will. Turns out the wheel hadn't been secured to the vehicle in the proper manner after replacement, causing not only annoying imbalance but an actual potential for danger as had I kept driving on the thing, the wheel could've just fallen off, straightaway. (Maybe on the highway?) So my dad checks all the wheels and tightens/secures them; he's furious with Tires Plus. I am surely taken aback as scenarios of me careening off the Hoan bridge play through my head, but barring anything actually happening, it's more of a "well someone wasn't really paying attention/was hungover or something that day" kind of thing that I laughed off. My dad, however, was not laughing. (He takes car stuff reallllly seriously; I think it's his way of showing how much he cares.) He called to rip them a new one. So! Three stars, because front of the house manager/front desk dude was awesome. The process was easy. I'm not really sure why this place got a bad rap. I went in and asked for two tires and an oil change. They did an amazing job, it was done within an hour, and they had sales on the tires I needed AND even honored the coupons I had. Tires are good, they grip the road perfectly. However, they also did a non existing alignment. When I left the shop to drive home I wanted to test the alignment done. Instantly the car veered off sharply to the right. I centered the car, and tried again. The car YET again veers off to the right. Went back and complained. Manager (who is from Chicago) instantly went from friendly to super offended mode. Technician came, and confirmed that the alignment was not done. When presented with the facts, manager was still a bitch. I demanded my money back from the alignment and drove off. I went to my dealer where they did it for free and I am road safe again. This is not my usual place to have repairs done, however, they have been very good to me when I have needed repairs completed in a pinch. They are friendly and cheerful, and sympathetic to the frustration that goes with finding out repairs are more extensive/expensive than one expects. We bought tires for our Subaru Forester 3 years ago, wanted a tire they were supposed to have but they were out and sold us a slightly more expensive tire with a supposedly better warranty. Got a screw in the tire 2 weeks ago causing a slow leak so my wife goes in for service, they tell her the tire is damaged and they don't recommend replacing a single tire, suggesting all four tires be replaced for $750. HOLY CRAP! The tires still have a lot of tread and are in great shape. I took the Forester to a local shop and asked them to plug the tire. He showed me the location of the hole, it was right in the tread and VERY EASY TO REPAIR! It took 10 minutes and $23. I am pissed at Tires Plus, instead of honoring their warranty they tried to convince my wife to buy new tires. When I went in on Wednesday for my appointment, The cashier wanted to add for $10 to "check everything." Ok fine, get you $10. Then they wanted to add more for an alignment. No. I don't need that. Then you want me to sign for $602.23. What did you add in since you printed me off a quote?! Something that has nothing to do with nothing!!!! I'm not a mechanic but I'm not stupid either. We purchased 4 Firestone FR110 BL P225/60R16 97T tires (rated for 65,000 miles) from Tires Plus of Germantown in June 2016. The front passenger tire has developed a bulge with less than 7,000 miles and Tires Plus says the problem is likely because of a pothole. We know this to be unlikely because the car only goes from home to work and back and the roads are good. This sounds like one of their "go to" answers when customers have defective tires and they want to charge us $115 to replace the tire. As a result of their poor customer service I will NEVER do business with Tires Plus again! read more

Thought I had a wheel bearing problem, they diagnosed the brakes being rusty and causing the noise. Pads down to 4mm. Okay, let's do it I say. Eric says he recommends having the brake fluid exchanged also and if I do it will extend my warranty to 2yrs. He also says there is a $60 per axle discount on brake work. Sounds good right? Once I get the bill I question the price of the rotors. $108/ea. for the front and $61/ea. for the rear! $338 for rotors? I research the part number, surprise! It's an AutoZone part. $45/ea. front and $20/ea. rear! Are you KIDDING ME? Now about that warranty for 2yrs with a brake fluid exchange; AutoZone warranties their rotors for 2yrs Eric, brake fluid has nothing to do with warranties, it's just a matter of water build up in the fluid for boiling point and effective braking. For what I paid for rotors I should have received some EBC brakes or at the very least the top of the line AutoZone Gold Duralast with high carbon steel, those are at least $74 and my colon wouldn't hurt so bad. Do yourself a favor and research every part they use in their quotes before they do any work for you. Tires Plus; you failed big time! read more

I normally use Tires Plus in Pewaukee but used the Germantown location because I would be in the area. My scheduled oil change took almost an hour and a half. After 25 minutes I notified the desk that my truck was still in the parking lot and not being worked on. He was totally unaware of what was going on with my truck. After the oil change was done I was not offered the free oil change and none of the recommendations were discussed. Tires Plus emailed me a survey which I completed. Louis responded to the survey via telephone offering an apology, a 20% discount coupon and a free oil change. He did tell me that I would have to stop in and pick up this offering next time I was in the area. This locatation is very unprofessional at best. I stopped using this location several years ago because of this and obviously nothing has changed. I will not be using Germatown location ever again. read more

We came here yesterday because we ran something over on our trip down and popped a tire. Our tires were ready to be replaced anyway, so we decided to go ahead and get it done. When we arrived everything was good, techs were great, my husband explained what we needed and wanted. They looked in the inventory and told us there were four of the tires we wanted and they could us in right away. Cool! We walked across the street and came back about half an hour later to be told that they actually only had two tires in their inventory and had to wait for the others from another location. No question of do you want to come back another time or anything. My van was already on the lift. All in all we were there for nearly two hours. When I asked about the 59 minute guarantee I was told that's only for scheduled appointments and they got the tires so that's all that matters. No apology, nothing.
