This place will steal from out of your car! I asked the manager the employees name that stole from me and he refused to give it to me! Please do not go here! They stole something from my son that can not be replaced and of corse they are not going to admit to doing it! It was in my car when I gave them the keys and when they gave me back the keys it was no longer in the car! I am so saddened and aggravated by this! I have been coming here for years and it's so sad that they don't care that their employee steals from their customers! I will never be returning and now have to find a new place to get my oil changed. My husband just looked at the bill and the guys name was Gustavo that stole from my son! Had a couple oil changes here over the years and bought tires, too. No problem til last month's oil change. Mechanic claimed I needed a new battery immediately - $200, thank you. She ostentatiously jumpstarted it to get it out, which was not something I had had to do myself anytime. The battery is a good one, and less than 2 years old. I declined. In my own driveway, took a look: lots of corrosion built up on one node. Cleaned it off easily, then took it to another mechanic for a test. The battery was full on fine, 100%. I don't know any mechanic worth the name who couldn't have recognized the real problem, so assume it was a kind of scam tried out on women. Especially senior women. Get a second opinion. read more

Matt was very kind and helpful. I took my vehicle in at 1:45pm on a Friday for two new tires and an oil change and it was finished by 5:30 pm. They had already put on a coupon I'd found on line when I went to pick it up, and even price matched the tires (which was only a $6 savings, but still) when I found a slightly cheaper option online from another retailer. They weren't pushy about sales and didn't recommend a bunch of additional services that my car didn't need. read more

My daughter, 22 year old college student, went to have her brakes checked/inspected, after a while she was informed the tires were installed incorrectly, the bolts were bad and the tires could not be removed without replacing all the rotors. all in repairs would be over a thousand dollars, and the brakes themselves would be another 600 dollars. I told her to bring the car home, I grabbed the jack, removed the tire normally... took it to another shop, no such issues exist. they simply made it all up to take advantage of someone who might not know much about cars. never trust these guys for anything that is for sure. read more

Woman next to me has been here an hour for a simple oil change. There is another customer currently complaining at the desk. After standing around the Tires Plus shop for 4.5 hours on Sat 1/22, I was finally "Treated" to a new TPMS Sensor, (Part Cost is $80 at Tires Plus...$20 online) and a cheap New Tire for the Cost of $324 !!! A TPMS Sensor installed, and a 235/75/15 Tire, mounted....$324 But the problem came when as soon as i started the engine the third time the TPMS Warning Light is right back on.... Took my car in for an oil change this morning, and as always was happy by my service. Employees are always helpful and give me a coupon if I don't have one. Wait times are rarely longer than an hour and a half, and I happily just walk to Starbucks and wait there. (Although you could also walk to One Love, Taste, and Crafty Bastards.) read more

On my way to work, the bolts on my splash guard fell off on the driver side and I was dragging the guard on the ground. I called the shop and they told me that it would be a couple hours to get it looked at (and they couldn't even do much other then tie it back on till I got to a shop that could actually fix it) cause they had a full list and some appointments ahead of me. I told the guy it was fine and I had a ride all planned to pick me up so I could leave the car there for as long as it took. However, the guy I was talking to told me to meet him in the parking lot and he zip tied my guard back on and gave me a recommendation for a shop that could actually fix it. He took less than 10 minutes to tie it back in and wouldn't even take the $10 I was trying to hand him. Even though they didn't actually fix my car, they made sure I was safe to drive and did their best to help me. I'm new to the area and I'll definitely come back if I have any more issues with my car. read more

Kudos to them! One of my tire is flat so I decided to stop over there. They were very nice and professional and fixed my tires.

I normally leave only good reviews but this is very concerning. I am disheartened about what happen and hope it comes to a emitted stop. I had original went to Tire Plus on 43rd for a oil change because my oil light was coming on. Tire plus informed me that I had a bad oil leak and it will be a 14 hour job to fix it in addition to costing $1,890. They told me they had to drop my transmission to fix the leak. I was very grateful they told me about the leak. $1,890 is a lot of money but i needed my car desperately to go to work. We wanted to double check elsewhere for better pricing before we put down that much.My husband checked on Gainesville reddit and it recommend Ahrens. I call and told Ahrens Auto about the terrible leak I had. He got me right in. I showed him the receipt from Tire Plus about where the leak was. Ahren's Auto did their own diagnostics. Ahren's Auto fixed my leak and charged me about 300. This is what concerned me the leak was NOT where Tire Plus had said it was .It was NOT a 14 hour job that Tire plus said it was and most importantly it was NOT $1890 Job like Trie plus said it was!!! Please do not try to do this to anyone else .Money is hard to come by especially during this time. Many people are still out of jobs and barley scraping by for rent, food and water. read more

my family and i were driving from atlanta to fort lauderdale , we had broken down on the side of the road with a falt tire in a very rural area on a sunday morning with no tire shops open. when we called kirby answered and was amazingly helpful in our time of need. when the tow truck arrived an hour and a half later, we had to be towed over 60 miles to get to this shop on sunday we arrived at 4 pm ( they close at 5pm) and the manager was rude and insulting " he spkoe to you hours ago" " i never get out on time" " we will see what we can do" i do not recommend this location at all!!!!!!!!!! read more

Ugh. Cannot believe this place. They have one star for a reason. Took my car in after some mechanical issues -- called to tell me that I needed to pay over $800 to "fix" it. Talked to someone else because Avery Brooks, the manager, tried to rip us off before. The other auto mechanic confirmed we were being ripped off just based on what Avery said needed to be done by almost $500!!!! Unbelievable. These guys are crooks. So disorganized, so dishonest. These people are exactly why mechanics have a bad reputation. When I ordered a tow truck to take it somewhere else, he refused to release my car to him because I owed $9.99 for the inspection. LOL. Very helpful and efficient staff. They will get your vehicle in right away with an appointment. But, even without an appointment they get you in pretty quick for a shop that is so busy. They have been recommended to me several times by locals in town. Been there twice now, and haven't been disappointed. Oh, and prices are very reasonable, too. read more

This place is terrible. I went prior to the covid epidemic, and they tried to rob me telling me my car would be a $3500 repair. No thank you. What's funny is I am an amateur mechanic myself, and I figured I'd take it to an expert so I did t have the headache of figuring out what it was or doing it myself bc I'm busy with 3 kids. I can barely pay rent and feed my kids, why would I spend $3500 on a repair that would only cost me $20. It was a brake pedal position sensor. What makes me even more angry is that they conned my elderly neighbor to change her rack and pinion which wasn't leaking, but they told her it was about to start leaking. Wtf. How do you it is about to start leaking unless you manage to cut into it yourself. These people are con artists. They conned her into it and it cost her close to $3000. The poor lady has been going to them for years bc it is close to her house. So sad that they could do this. Be honest with people, don't be a pos. Always great customer service. They have deals and specials to help you out on the price too. I've brought my truck in for maintenance and they mechanics always do a bumper to bumper courtesy check. The shop looks busy so if you should probably call ahead and schedule an appt if you can. Overall great service, and will be back again. read more

This place is a joke and Avery Brooks is a complete crook and clown. Was quoted to fix an alternator 486.00. Took the car down got the repair and when i went to pick it up, the price jumped to 516.00. When I disputed the up charge Mr. Brooks informed me that i could either pay or i couldn't have my keys and began to help another costumer. Had to wait an hour for a real "manager" to come in and resolve the situation. Got home, popped the hood and found parts missing and some that weren't even reattached. My boyfriend brought my car for an oil change, they stated it would take about an hour. Two hours later, they come out and say "we need to charge your car battery because it just died somehow". I have had absolutely no issues with my car or car battery up until then. When we asked how this happened they had no explanation of anything. Now I am having to buy a new car battery because of this, I am a college student and to be treated in such a terrible way from management is unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Came in yesterday morning needing 2 new tires. I showed up at 9:15 and was told I'd be seen within the hour and then 30 mins once they get me back. I was there for 4 hours!!! Once I left my TPMS error kept popping up. Figured my sensor had went out so today I took it to Honda. Turns out they put the wrong size tires on my car!!!!! I am in Orlando so not only did I have to go to Honda today but then when I called tires plus to tell them of their screw up they told me to go to a store around here to have them switch it out. This place is garbage. They have different staff every time you go, so once in a blue moon you might get someone who can do something right or has a bit of customer service, but overall, they're incompetent. They have now used the "must've been a bad product" excuse on me more than once. Failed to fix a flat? Ooh, must've been a bad batch of flat repair. Failed to fix your car's inability to start? Ooh, the new battery we installed must've been bad. Actually, after that, they decided to tell me nothing was wrong so they did nothing. So earlier something was definitely wrong and the battery was bad, but now it magically went away? I obviously had to take my car elsewhere since it continued struggling to start (turned out it needed a new starter). On top of that, I noticed a tire was low when I left, so I asked the people at the other shop I went to to look into that. They said there was a nail in it. So much for the "Tires" Plus courtesy check! The craziest part is, the other shop said TP drew around the nail with chalk so they can't understand why they didn't fix it. Ha! They didn't even tell me about it. They were probably afraid they'd have to admit they don't even know how to change a tire. Must've been a bad batch of mechanics. I'm risking bad karma by placing a negative review here but I'm risking this to help out the next consumer. Yelp has helped me out many times and I'm going to try to repay the favor. This place tried to pull a fast one on me! I took my car in for a routine oil change because they were so close to my apartment complex thinking it would be a Wham Bam Thank You Maam, but when I got the call 45 minutes after I left it, they told me I needed about 600-800 dollars worth of repairs. To one specific issue that I took offence to is that they told my oil plug had stripped the oil pan when they tried to remove it and that I needed a new pan and it was going to cost 300 dollars for it. They told me that they would have tried to place a bigger plug but that somewhere along the way, someone already did this (mind you no repair shop has ever told me of such a thing happening or that they did anything about it). I had no choice but to get my car towed out of this place into another repair shop for a second opinion. So guess what?? When my car was towed to another auto repair place, they told me the plug looked like the one from the original manufacturer and that they could just substitute for a new, bigger plug for 3 dollars!! End of story, no more problems. I can't tell you how upset I was that this Tires Plus place tried to take me for a ride (no pun intended). I've slept better saving all that money but I don't know how these guys can. Now to be fair, Tires Plus did alert me to one or 2 things that really did need to be addressed for my car, but some issues were stuff that could have waited that they gave me the impression needed to be addressed immediately and some issues were stuff that another place told me were fine. But what was the excuse for lying to me about the oil pan?? Note to this Tires Plus: Just because people may look gullable to you doesn't mean that you should try to take advantage of them. I learned to be a litte more distrustful of mechanics after this incident. And yes, this is the Tires Plus by the corner of 39th Ave and 51st Street near. Clean up your act!!! read more

Charles and his team run a top notch business with superior customer service at this location. They diagnosed my engine problem and stayed later on a Saturday to fix my car. Charles himself drove to pick up the part needed. I wasn't even expecting same day service as I came within an hour of them closing. Probably the best customer service I have ever had. I took our car in a couple of weeks ago to get the oil changed, tires rotated and have one tire checked that had a slow leak in it. I purposely waited until now to make this review. I wanted to be relaxed with a clear head to be fair in my writing. My family and I have been going to this garage for almost three years. I've never had a problem at this facility before until this time. I don't know if they've had a lot of turn overs or what, but this was the worst experience that I've ever had at this Tire's Plus. It started when, I went to pay for the service. Normally for the basic oil change, which I get each time for this car it's in the low 30's. The guy (Patrick?) said it was 60 something...I said what? He repeated it and I asked him why was it so much and that it was normally 30 something. He said because, I ordered full synthetic blend oil. I advised him that I didn't. At this time there was another staff (Avery?) beside the one that was checking me (Patrick?) out and this staff person (Avery?) said you did. I took your order. I advised him that I didn't ask for that type of oil and I know what I get. This person started and adamantly argued with me that I did order it. I was totally caught off guard with such a display of rude and disrespectful behavior by a staff person. A staff person anywhere, but especially here where there wasn't any problems for a few years. It impacted me so much that I lost my cool and started to argue and raise my voice. I haven't let someone get me so irritated in years. I made various comments on how poor his display of customer service was and I've never been so disrespected. This didn't stop him...he continued. The other staff person, I think was Patrick said I signed the sheet agreeing to it. I looked and I had...I advised both of them that I assumed it was the same service as usual. I've never purchased full synthetic oil for this car. Patrick said well that history is in the computer....Avery went on again that I had specifically ordered that and I again said that I didn't. I advised him that he was mistaken and that it appeared that he made a mistake and didn't want to accept accountability for it. I told them that I remember repeating back my order on the phone. I'm a creature of habit with such things...I do it to reinforce my request and I check myself if I have it correct. Avery continued to escalate and said Well Boss-Man that's what your ordered. Well at this point, I was pretty disgusted with my treatment and I told Patrick as I pointed to the sheet that I signed that if my family and I come back in here then, I'll have to look at every f-thing on the sheet so I know that I'm not being taking advantage of. Patrick had given me the sheet and said sign here, initial here and here and didn't explain what was on the sheet and I didn't read it. I signed it without reading it because, I trusted them that it was the same as usual. Well once, I unfortunately showed my ignorance by swearing, Avery stood and laughed at me. Well I realized that I needed to end this (I should never have let it get this far either..) and asked to see the manager. His name was Dave and he listened to Avery's side of the story and then, I explained what happened. Avery continued to argue that I had ordered this expensive oil and never at anytime humbled himself and admitted his mistake. If I'm wrong about something, I'll openly admit it and accept accountability, but I know what I ordered and what I didn't order. Well Dave was fair about the situation and only charged me half of my bill. To me that was acceptable because that is what my bill normally is. Oh the tire....I told them it had a slow leak in it and I had to put air into it every 2-3 days. They told me they checked it like they do with all tires and couldn't find a leak and therefore there wasn't anything else that they could do. Well, two days later it had lost about 1/3 of it's pressure again. So, I then took it to another Tires Plus (3302 NW 13th St., Gainesville 32609) and the service was like "night and day". They were very respectful, attentive to my requests and it didn't take them long to find the nail in my tire. And since I had the road hazard warranty on it, there was no charge. I wanted to take the time to let anyone know that may be thinking of going to this garage....just be cautious. Whatever service you request make sure it's on the sheet or something you didn't order isn't on the sheet before you sign it. I'll never make this mistake again of trusting that the staff person has it correct. I'll read the whole page before, I'm just told...sign here, initial and initial without an explanation of what's on the sheet. I hope me taking a few minutes makes someone else's day a little brighter than what mine was when I left this garage a couple of weeks ago. And my family will not go back to this Tire's Plus again. Awful awful service. Went at 530 am to have new tires placed. Told them I didn't need oil change or any engine checks just tires. When I came to pay and pick up my vehicle windows were rolled down with pollen, dirt, leaves, twigs all over my interior including dirty hand prints. The cabin air filter was laying in my front seat after telling them not to touch anything but my tires. Front bumper was hanging off ( back tires replaced) explain that??? When I asked the manager about everything he told me that I didn't understand busy and it wasn't their fault and I was complaining for nothing. My car is a mess and I'm worried if they miss the little things did they miss a big thing? Also told my windshield wipers needed replacing, he argued with me until I told him I had brand new ones placed 5 days ago. And my cabin air filter that needed replacing was only 3 months old. I had my oil changed on Saturday, and took my car into Kia for scheduled maintenance today (Monday), and it turns out that oil is leaking out of the drain plug because the gasket wasn't changed. I want a refund! I have to get a new oil change now, and their mistake could've caused serious damage to my vehicle with oil loss. read more

I should have checked this site before coming here. I had had my tires changed here previously without incident and brought the car in because the check engine light was on. First, they gave me a laundry list of repairs totaling $2000 (I am going to get a second opinion on these). Second, I asked for only a tire repair and this took 3hours! 4 customers came and went after I asked them to just fix the tire. I wasted a total of 5 hours at this place, which was basically my whole work day. It looks like they get a lot of business regardless of the poor reviews, but I am going to avoid coming here as much as possible. I would highly recommend that others avoid this place as well. You are going to get shitty service and if you are getting anything beyond a tire change expect them to recommend "other things" that might need to be done. read more

I will take a risk putting a negatively rated ad just like the other guy. I completely agree that these guys SUCK. I took my van there which drives perfectly fine, engine and transmission are smooth but I just needed a tire rotation and a brake check. They did alarm me to certain things like some brake fluid is leaking which causes some squeaking noises, but along with that they also told me I needed $4000 dollars worth of work which I will get a second opinion on. Get this: They wanted to charge me 300 dollars in labor to change SPARK PLUGS on a toyota sienna. Seriously? Imagine if some chick went in there not knowing anything and bought into that crap. It made me very disappointed in humanity and now i'm wary of taking my van anywhere thanks to them. read more

Hi Noe, Thanks for your concern. The management never specifically said they would not honor their warranty. That might get them into trouble. They only said that the work they did would have been needed "someday if not now", and they will only warrant the work that they actually did. The fact that it provided no improvement of the problem was not their concern. So, they requested an additional $500-$1,000, to fix the problem (in other words, give them a second or third chance to figure it out at my expense). With the understanding that the work they did in the future would also come with a warranty (but no guarantee that the problem would be gone, or that they would not ask me for more money if it still was not fixed). So, I appreciate your offer to investigate, but, I'm sure they attempt to follow all the rules before over charging for work not needed. Nobody ever said that being 'corrupt' also must mean that they are therefore 'dumb'. They are dumb like a fox..... read more

Great experience!! Had 4 tires and alignment done in an hour and half which is what they quoted me on the phone before I came in. They price matched Sam's club and gave me a better tire! Front counter person was very friendly and made my son laugh as well. read more

On March 17, 2014 I took my car in for an oil change and alignment. The cost was around $50.00 As I drove out there was a terrible noise in the front under the hood. I went back to have it checked out. When I originally took the car in it was running very well. As I took it back to see what the noise was they inspected it and told me I needed a new cooling fan in the front and had A liky fuel line in the rear. Aaron took to the rear to show me the fuel line, at that time he punched a hole in the line saying it was thin and need to be replaced, if he had not punch a hole in the line it would not need to be replaced. The took me around to the front and the plastic fan was destroyed ! My original bill was $50.00, when I picked up my car the bill was $800.00!!!! The next day I was driving om I-75 and totaled my car. I wrote a very nice letter to Credit First, Tire Plus' finance card, asking them to please write off a part of my bill due to the accident and the fact that the car was not making any noise when I originally took it in for maintenance. I have heard that this is the way they make their money. Not only did they lose a customer and have made a point to discourage friend from taking their car there. read more
