I called at 10 AM to set up a reservation at 1 PM. I drove away at 3:50 PM. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and I ordered 4 new tires. I handed over my keys and proceeded to walk across town to get photocopies over by the post office and lag bolts at the hardware store. I returned to the shop at 2:15 and my car was on the lift with all four tires off. I figured it would be done soon. He asked me if I wanted an oil change, so I said yes. 30 minutes later, there were still no tires, but it looked like the oil change had started. So I went across the parking lot to grab some late lunch at Culver's. After lunch, I came back at 3:15 and there was one tire on the car The kid who was working on my Car didn't seem to be affected By the fact, he had been working on it for 2 1/2 hours as he meandered around the shop. I wanted to complain, but the poor guy behind the computer looked like his eye exploded earlier that day. If wait times are going to be excessive, I would appreciate a heads up. 3 hours is a long time to wait on a rainy day. read more

Had phone call to Tires Plus. I asked this. If I bring a bring (2) wheels could you swap with MY new tires if I give you the (2) NEW removed tires? No charge at all. Tires Plus will be getting (2) new tires to sell. Swap? The Tires Plus employee said yes. After I brought them there and they did it, then they charged me. What? I then walked towards the maintenance area. (outside of the repair location) and told the tire swap employee. He waved his hand and said "take off" and laughed. I made an appointment to have 4 new tires put on my car in early December. My appt was at 9am. The person who was to do the work was late into work so did not arrive to start work on my tires until 10:30. Judging from the employee conversation at the front desk this was a regular thing. Had I known I would have made arrangements to just drop off my car. Instead, I sat there for 3+ hours. That was an annoying waste of my time but whatever. What made my review a "2" star was that the mechanic only screwed on 1 lug nut on my driver side front tire. As I was driving later on, I started to hear this thumping on the driver front side. I get home and check the tire and find the one lug nut was a thread away from falling off and none of the other nuts were screwed in. So, that thumping was my tire that almost came off while I was driving. Once I tightened the lug nuts the thumping stopped. I'm not happy about this one bit. Unfortunately, all I can do about it is write this review to advise Tires Plus customers in Forest Lake to check those lug nuts when you get your car back from them or just go elsewhere. read more

If it wasn't for the older gentleman I worked with for the majority of the time, I would leave a one star review. I shouldn't have come back to get my car fixed after reading the reviews. I found it very strange that they quoted me over $1000 to fix soiled brake pads and the cylinder, but the again I don't know much about cars. Anyways I spoke for a lengthy amount of time on the phone with another agent who told me I could apply for their credit card. I did not get approved-- no reason was given and now I have to leave with no car. And i will only be able to pay for it by next week!! Needless to say I am beyond disappointed in this shop and myself for deciding to bring my car here since it was in need of repair knowing I couldn't afford it. Well that's a few hours wasted and I won't be back and hopefully I won't have to come back. It definitely was my job too but they should've explained that there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to pay with the credit card, so bring another payment ahead of time. Setup an appointment online for 6pm. The Tires Plus staff called me asking to move it to 5pm because of staffing issues. I stated no problem. Got to the store at 4:55 got checked in and waited. At 5:45 I asked for my keys back. Of course I was told your vehicle is next. I said no thanks and left. I would have not left if the team onsite would have communicate any delays. Horrible customer service, told incorrect prices over the phone and then were rude and made it seem like my fault. Never will return.

In reading the other reviews I will support the idea that people need to be careful with this shop. I have found that when employees feel empowered to be rude to customers that they have little regard for ethics in other areas I recently bought a car from Carvana and had an inspection done by my trusted mechanic, he pointed out some concerns. CARVANA offers a 100 day warranty and lists this shop as a preferred facility. I made an appointment to have work done, i arrived on time and was told by the service coordinator that they hate working on Carvana (Silverrock) cars and that they tell their friends not to bring thier cars to them. I reluctantly asked them to do the work anyway, while they were entering info in the computer the service coordinator asked for the exact milage. I didn't know it and since there was a rain storm I didn't want to step out at that moment, thier response " I need the milage to proceed. I said "it's in the car your going to work on" at that point I took the hint and walked out, I will not be back. read more

Honest team here. Listened to them tell another customer that the "necessary" repairs a dealership said they needed was just a money grab, and explain why it wasn't needed. Horrible!! Stay away!!! After spending nearly $1400 getting a timing belt and neutral safety switch replace, LITERALLY after I paid and was walking out the door a mechanic pops his head out from the garage and says "oh by the way, you're going to need to mess with your gear shift in order to start your car". But guess what, my car also doesn't go into reverse properly, and the car doesn't stay in park!!! wtf!!! I paid for this???? I was glad they do repairs on the weekend and had them do a full inspection of our car for a price of $14.99. They gave us a long list of recommended repairs, most of them I did not feel the need to do now but did agree to have them replace a front drive axle. They quoted $345 and had it done in a few hours which was great!! After driving home, we discovered transmission fluid leaking out all over the garage floor, so I called them and with no questions asked they sent a flat bed to pick up the car and return it back to them. They called a few hours later and said we are all good to go so we picked up the car. After getting it home, I looked under and it is already puddling under the car so I returned it a second time ASAP. They kept it overnight and said it was a faulty seal and had put a new one in and we picked it up for the third time. The following morning we had another large puddle under the car- this car had NEVER had any fluid leaks before. They got it back a fourth time and they contacted Kennedy Transmission and found out a "trick" for this seal when replaced on this car. This time it no longer leaked but before I was out of the lot I heard a odd noise so before leaving, had one of the techs ride with me to hear the noise. He heard it but had no idea what it was. It was late and I was fed up with the whole deal, just happy it was not leaking and left. After a week, the noise was still happening and I spoke with the Manager Mike who was truly great to deal with, very customer service focused. I returned the car again, he kept it overnight, checked it over, took it on a long test drive and heard the noise but really did not know what it was. He apologized and refunded us the full $345 we paid but the car still makes a noise it never made before this mess. I took it to TGK in Hugo for them to look at the noise, they added transmission fluid and the noise is gone- and charged me nothing-WOW! read more

There is nothing worse then spending hard earned money on auto p knowing that you can do it yourself for a tremendous amount cheaper but due to working all the time for that hard earned money you leave it to certified professionals. And then they act like their pissy for you calling and getting prices on what needs done, after spending money with them the day before, I was glad they got me right in and on a Saturday. When I went to leave they had left the diagnostic tool in the car and I thought that's not good took it back. When I was leaving I wondered what the extra noise was and when I said something to my husband he looked and the dog house in the van was not properly placed. It was not in the right place so it took him a while to get the latches open, its a good thing they didn't break. After spending almost five hundred dollars in 2 days with them to get service and attitude like that it wont happen again. There is no excuse for sloppy work. If you don't like your job quit. I cant imagine this guy doing someones breaks. O yes and they're getting a call first thing Monday! read more

So I stop in at 11am for a tire with a slow leak. They ask can you leave your car. Sure I say, how long? How about you give us til 1. Sure I say. I go walking and shopping on my way back I see them pulling my car into the shop. The time is 1230. It's now 150 I go up and ask how much longer on my car? He says oh are you in a hurry? Was quoted " a little over an hour " to remove a nail and repair a tire along with rotation and alignment. Work allegedly started around around 0816. When I observed several customers come and go with their vehicles I decided to ask about my vehicle around 0950. They say it's on the alignment rack now and it will be another 20-30 minutes. I asked what happened to getting it done in " a little over an hour" staff rudely yell across the lobby I told it would be done my 1030! Which he did not! I said what time will it be done ? He said like I told you 1030! Again rudely and unprofessional! I again stated " you said a little over an hour" he again rudely stated 1030! Then the state down ‍. I went in to have them look at my front drivers tire due to a small leak. I asked them to see if they could find the problem and to patch the tire. They informed me that they offer a tire repair for just $20, so I took up that deal. After they had taken my car back and looked at the tire, they informed me there was a nail in the inner part of the tire and that it could not be repaired. It was "too close to the outside of the tire and my tread depth was too short" thus making it not repairable. The technician then showed me their options for tires and advised me to replace both front tires. I opted to look at my options at home and left with my car. My father being a mechanic, offered to look at it. Upon taking off the wheel, we had noticed the nail was not even close to the side of the tire, and that it was easily repairable. My father then grabbed a plug kit and fixed the hole in the tire himself. The technicians were obviously trying to persuade me to buy tires from their business instead of repairing mine. Would not recommend this business to anyone! read more

do not ever take your vehicle to tires plus. i took mine there yesterday for an oil change and they told me my water pump was going bad that it was loose and leaking. they also told me my front struts were blown out and causing problems with my tires. $1,800 to fix. i took my truck to someone else this morning to have a second opinion. there is nothing wrong with my truck at all. my water pump and struts are both fine. that is so morally wrong. they are just ripping people off!!!! i have there charge card and that is getting shredded and i will never go back there again. after this i wonder at a different time they had said i needed all these other things done when i took it for an oil change and ended up with a bill of $1,400. did those things really need to be done??? i will never know but i work 7 days a week to pay my bills and something like this sets me way back. so very angry at the whole situation. read more
