Replaced tires here also. Asked for recommendations to reduce road nose. The recommendation was spot on, and their cost was less than other places I priced. Also they didn't suggest add ons other places said I needed. When I asked, they checked and said that equipment was fine. This place seems honest and fair. NEVER GO HERE!! Came in yesterday for a quote for 4 new tires and given 3 options. Decided to go ahead and selected the middle option with total price of $520 and made an appointment for 9 am this morning. When dropping it off was asked when I needed car back...said I have 9 am appointment..(?). Called wanting me to approve another $90 for alignment. I said no, but had thought that was included. Can get alignment done cheaper anywhere else. Come to get the car and wanting to charge me over $700 now!!!! That is NOT what was agreed to!! Ridiculous! So currently arguing about it and about to have them take the tires back off since scamming me. Of course they say they'll now charge me for 2 installations which is crazy. How about just charge the price that was agreed to when we made the appointment?! Also worth mentioning their coupons online are worthless. It was not the manager who called. It was the girl who screwed up my service from the start. And she said she pulled a fast one on me. I'm a little shy still, but I'm thinking that based on Gary's personal commitment, his integrity and engagement, it's worth reconsideration and the better rating above. I've used the Tires Plus in Chanhassen several times over the years and they've never disappointed. On my latest visit, I blew out a tire coming back from Chicago (Thanks Wisconsin Road Construction!). After putting on a spare and making it home, I took it in the next day and they got me in right away. Joe (my Tire Specialist), came out and greeted me and helped carry in the tire. They got me in and out in about 1-1/2 hours total with new rear tires on my Ford Escape, plus a new spare. Joe was extremely helpful and courteous, and I was able to use their free Wi-Fi to get work done while I waited. Best tire replacement experience I've had...(Midas, on the other hand, will never get my business ever again). Many thanks to Joe and the team at Chanhassen Tires Plus! I just experienced the worst customer service experience of my life. I purchased a set of Firestone Fire Hawks and a set of Blizzaks for the winter 2 years ago from Tires Plus in Chanhassen, MN. The Firestones tires were only used in the summer and have 50% tread life. I went to put on the winter tires and when I took them off found the Firestones to be completely defective. They all had side wall cracks and delamination with the steel cords hanging out. I took them back to Tires Plus and the Manager said it was road hazard and would give me a discount on a new set. I said that was unacceptable these tires are completely defective and dangerous. He had no concern for me or my family. I was most concerned about the dangers of these tires, he had no concern what so ever. The main thought on my mind was my family has been riding on these and the possible results of these defective tires were too horrible to imagine. I told him I should get a new set at no cost, I would not settle for half off. He said with that attitude I'm not going to do anything. I said "Are you Fing kidding me!" It went downhill from there; He threw a brochure at me and said "read the warranty". He got in my face and asked me if I was going to hit him and egged me on, it was unbelievable. I am 52 years old and have never seen anything like this in my life. I own my own business and understand customer service. He should not be representing your company. The left front was falling apart (see photo) but you could not see it as it was on the inside. My 15 year old has been driving this car with his learners permit. Imagine what would have happened if that front tire shredded on the highway? I told the Manager that and he said "We would be talking to your insurance company instead of you". I was initially reluctant to get tires here because of the bad reviews, but the first time I went I had a good experience. Then I was still hesitant to go here because of the bad reviews, and I thought maybe I just got lucky that one time. I've since been here about 5 or 6 times for tires because we've got two vehicles, and I've had a good experience every time. I haven't found a better deal for tires. There always seems to be some promotion going on, just check their website. I've only been here for tires and I recommend this place. read more

Had new tires installed a cpls years ago, but Tire Plus has made the experience a nightmare. TPMS light turned on the same day tires were installes but tire pressure was fine. TPMS light eventually turned off but would return pariodically over the next few months. Tires started losing some air, but wasn't worried, since winter had come. TPMS light would eventually start flashing, indicating TPMS error, rather than low tire pressure. Figured tech ruined a sensors while installing new tires. Made appointment and explained all of the above. Service rep at the front told me TPMS error was due to one of my sensors having low battery. Paid ~ $100 for replacing one sensor. Later, reviewed service ticket and noticed the tech wrote, 'unable to read sensor in rear tire". So the sensor didn't have a low battery??? Sounds like the service rep chose to pass the expense from their mistake onto me... Months later, I needed to replace my brakes, sooner than expected. Upon removing my wheels, I realized the lug nuts were severely over-tightened, which had caused my inner pads to wear twice as fast! Thanks again, Tires Plus! Lastly, the tires they've installed continuously lose air pressure and the problem has now worsened to the a point where I need to add air on a weekly basis! Conclusion: Clearly, the first tech destroyed one of my TPMS sensors during install and did a poor job of removing the old tire cement from my rims before mounting new tires and also hammered my lug nuts back on with not regard for spec! After my experience and reading about the experiences of others, I qint be retunring, since I don't even trust them to fix their leaky tire install!!! I'll also be re-tightening my lug nuts after any service appointment with any shop for the rest of my life! read more

Used to be a great place to get tires repaired and an oil change. Made an appointment for yesterday at 4 pm, dropped off car for a tire that was slowly leaking air and an oil change. Came back at 7pm and was told "we didn't get to it. We were slammed today. You'll have to come back tomorrow." Um...that's why I made an appointment! I'm sure that they cherry-picked the more lucrative walk-in appointments over mine. This excuse would have been more acceptable if I had been a walk-in, BUT I MADE AN APPOINTMENT! What was the point of making an appointment if they would be "too busy to get to me." Come back tomorrow? Yeah, in your dreams. How do I know you'll get to it then? Not only was i NOT told when i made the appointment for tire services that they don't service used tires, I was greeted by one of the most unprofessional and rude customer service representatives i've ever met. I drove all the way in to Chanhassen to get my winter tires put on, got there on time, and was immediately dissatisfied. The outside of the building looked so rough, and disheveled that i almost mistook the establishment for the abandoned building next to it. Not impressed what so ever, won't be coming back, and will be recommending everyone I know go else where. read more

It seems customer service is a lost art these days....however I found it today at Tires Plus! I work across the highway from this location. My wife was short on time and needed an oil change before heading out of town. I asked them if they would do the oil change and I pick up the vehicle after hours. Thankfully they were able to accommodate me. This wasn't the impressive part. While the Tires Plus location is just across the highway it is still a ten minute walk. And it was raining on and off all day. I wasn't looking forward to the walk in the rain. Thankfully Mike from Tires Plus called me (after they were already closed) and asked if I wanted to him to bring me the vehicle! And all I got was a $30 oil change. If they provide that kind of service for an oil change I have to imagine it just gets better from there. I'll be going back for sure! read more

Used to be a customer, but this last visit was the last straw. Brought my Tesla there for a tire repair. After the car was left for an entire day, was called back and told that Teslas have special tires, and they could not do the job. After researching for them (I thought THEY were the tire experts), thry deyermined yes they COULD fix the flat. Nothing special about the tires. Short story, was charged extra (42.47 with tax) . Was verbally should be about 20. Drove home, and simple (very small center of tread nail leak) so called repair started a slow leak again. Took it back today after calling ahead and was told no problem, they would look at it. Left it with them at 1030am. Called at 4pm, and was told "we dont touch teslas and you will need to go aomewhere else . They refused to refund the botched tire repair. They kept the car the entire day, no call, nothing with no intentions of even looking or fixing a simple TIRE REPAIR. This is supposed to be their specialty. 10.09.17 UPDATE: After Tires Plus refused to even look at the tire they supposedly fixed a week prior, I booked an appointment at DISCOUNT TIRE on Flying Cloud Drive to get the tire repaired properly. Imagine my shock when Discount Tire informed me the "tire pressure monitor" was re-installed incorrectly. He rotated the little device 180 degrees, re-installed the valve, and then re-tested the tire. No air leaking. So the repair itself was done correctly, but the valve was not put back in correctly. TirePlus had asked for the invoice number - it is 174289. The kicker? Discount Tire didn't even charge me ANYTHING to fix this simple Tires Plus blunder. I guess I know who the real tire people are when a different company has to fix their service issues. read more

For the record, obviously I can't give zero stars... I've personally been a customer of Tires Plus for over a decade, handling I'd say 90% of my general maintenance, and have never been taken for in regards to services or charges. No longer will I refer, give business to, or spread kindness of the company. ESPECIALLY this location. I recently referred my fiance` to stop in here for an oil change, of which she's never visited. She set an online appointment for the next day and went in by herself. Shortly after she was there, I receive a phone call from her stating they were taking care of a transmission leak. Problem A here....there was no visible leaking or spotting in the garage, and trust me, I'd be well aware if there was leaking on my garage floor. Problem B, the cost was outrageously quoted. $430? So I swing over to see what's going on. I'm explained to that there is leaking or beading of transmission fluid around the pan itself. Which, it's Minnesota, and the car is a handful of years old, it's bound to begin beading a drop or two. All it is, is a gasket. What? 6 or 8 screws to drop the pan and replace the gasket? Reattach? Done. So I basically stare at this guy, and he instantly drops $55 for the cost of the part. Oh, thanks. So still there's nearly $400 in labor to do this? What, are you mechanics $200/hr mechanics? We proceed to let them go at it, thinking that since it's just a gasket, they were covering their backside in case there was something more detrimental. Go about our merry business, and call 2 hours later to check on the status. The lady answering the phone had no record of my fiance` in the system. Instead, her car was listed under some guy's name from Minneapolis. We stated what the car was in for to prove it was her's. We're told it's done and head in to pick it up. So still, on the invoice, it has this guy's name, address and so forth, with my fiance` now listed under his account. So problem C in the scenario is customer privacy. We now have some other person's information. Good work. Secondly, what if they called this guy and said his car was done? Is he a stand up guy? Would he have just came and grabbed the car? Again, good work. Worst case scenario, because this is 2018 and I have to blow things up, this guy goes ahead and jacks the car and runs drugs or some BS. The bill? Still $430, $378 of which in labor alone. Anybody out there ever drop a transmission pan before? Replace the gasket? Unless they had three guys working on this for 2 hours, it's not worth $378 of labor. Moral of the story is, sales margin is more important than customer service and potential repeat business, not to mention ruined future referrals and my ten plus years of maintenance service with it. Taking advantage of people, not entirely educated on less than normal maintenance is a terrible excuse of a sales person. Tires plus, re-evaluate your business ethics, and bring in a sales trainer, maybe a sales manager who can lead and train people to generate business rather than take advantage to of the business you're scraping in. Congratulations on your lost business, and remember, one upset customer means 10 bad customers, and it will take one happy customer 100 visits to bring you future business. Truth in the world of sales. Good riddance. Taking my business to somebody who cares. And if you feel obliged to hand out free this or that services, eat it. Not interested, but thanks for refunding $270 to make things "right". The story behind the refund is that you charged us incorrectly, as in "we charged you for an engine gasket, not a transmission gasket and blah blah blah..." Well, 2 hours of labor is 2 hours of labor. Since when does a different gasket cost $270 more in labor for the same amount of time? And oh, by the way, the invoice says "oil gasket". Give me a break here, admit your fault and don't try to hide behind some "make it right" response your poor sales and customer service training taught you. I'd write more, but I'm at my character limit. Enjoy the novel. read more

I really wanted to give you guys a bad review BUT I cannot because of how easy you were to deal with. I purchased winter tires and opened a credit card for the rebate. That purchase and install was A+. I was able to purchase the tires at a discount with a rebate and have them installed almost a month later per my request! Awesome. So when it came time to look for new summer tires this was my first stop to check prices on new wheels and tires. Again great service getting prices and answering my questions. I decided not to make a purchase the day I came in because I wanted to shop around. They informed me they had a special going on and that if I wanted to take advantage of it I needed to have my order in by close of business on Sunday. I did not end up making a purchase. I decided to wait for more summer specials to come around. Unfortunately about two weeks later when I received my tires plus credit card bill my current balance was $1600 more than it had previously been!!! I was not happy and immediately got on the phone to the CC company. After an hour wait on hold I was told there were two purchases made at the tires plus store and I would have to contact the store manager to get the charges reversed. So I did just that. I called in the evening ready for a battle over wheather or not I had made the purchase. I talked to Marty who informed me that the wheels and tires I had come in to inquire about had been purchased for me and that the manager who had purchased them for me would be working in the morning and that I needed to talk to him. I was a little annoyed that I could not get this taken care of right away but Marty was very polite and understanding. So the next day I waited for a call from the other manager Gary. I was ramping up for another battle to try to get the charges reversed and by 10am I could wait no longer and I called the store. I got Gary almost immediately and his patience and politeness were disarming. He immediately offered to reverse the charges. Even though he did not offer an apology his willingness to take care of the problem without any questions was a relief. 4 stars because this shouldn't have happened in the first place and for the inconvenience of having to chase down a reversal. Otherwise Marty, Gary and Andrew were very polite and professional and I have had no problems with my winter tires or the install. read more

I went in for an oil change and after an inspection was told that my front and rear brakes needed to be replaced. I was also told my air filter would be changed as well. I left the store at 11am and was not called again until 5pm. When I picked my car up, the service member handed me a coupon book and said "that's for you." I thought that was a really great thing for them to do, but when I looked at the receipt later, I saw I had been charged $5 for it! I hadn't been asked if I wanted to purchase it, it was just handed to me and made to seem like it was free. And the coupons expire Dec. 31st of this year (the multiple oil change coupons will not do me a lot of good between now and then). I then noticed another charge for transmission drain and fill which had not even been discussed with me! Apparently it was just added in and done without speaking with me first. I am very upset to see something like this happen, especially since I used to stand up for Tires Plus and say they had never pulled these kind of things on me. Well I guess that has changed. These guys are great. My daughters had a blow out in the Twin Cities and the tire had to be replaced. While it was not a brand that they carry to match up the set, they made a special trip to their wholesalers and pick up the replacement tire. Very disappointing. I dislike writing these things because of what you have to go through to do get to this point. I recently moved to Chanhassen, and have used TiresPlus for the last several years in at least three different locations. I've spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars getting my car repaired or getting new tires. I've done probably dozens of oil changes there. I went in for an oil change on an early Saturday afternoon. I figured since I was going to the movies nearby, why not grab a bite to eat and a movie while the oil change place changes the oil in my S10. I went in and he said they weren't doing oil changes today (Saturday) and they only did them on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Tuesday is looking pretty full. Odd but understandable since many bring their cars in on the weekend to have them repaired. A week and a half later I set up an online appointment for a Wednesday at 8 am and I would wait for it. No problem. I brought it in at about 7:10 that morning and told them I could pick it up later at about noon. Now, remember I made an appointment online for 8am, so technically I would probably be out of there by 8:30, maybe 9:00. When we pulled into the parking lot at 1pm I noticed my truck hadn't been moved. It's been my experience that these places back the vehicles in when they finish them. Well, mine hadn't moved. I went to the service desk, he checked, and exactly right, they weren't finished with it.I said it had been here for 6 hours and it was only an oil change. I was livid. This oil change was long overdue. He said I'd be the next into the shop once they got an open bay. After that it would be another 35 minutes! Since I did have to be back at work I declined and asked for my keys back. He went out to the shop pulled my paperwork, handed me the keys, apologized, and I walked out the door without saying another word. It was a ridiculous waste of my time. Listen, I get it. It was an oil change. $30-40 bucks. Not exactly a cash cow for this place or places like it. I understand that. What I don't understand is that they get you to get your oil changed so they can identify other potential problems, which leads to more money in their pockets. It's a legitimate way to get more business, but when they don't even have the courtesy to get that oil changed in the first place when a) I had an appointment, and b) I returned 6 hours later and nothing was done, then something is not right. It's a poor way to do business. I have old cars. I spend money on them to keep them running. Needless to say, I'm looking for other vendors that actually want to take my money. Just know that if you go into this place you may have to throw your money at them to take it. Very disappointing. read more

I hope to save someone the stress and inconvience this place caused us. We brought our car in for breaks and tran fluid change. Dropped it off at 1pm on a Saturday and was told it would be done in a few hours.... Long story short we didn't leave there with our vehicle until Sunday at 5pm....after being told it will be done at 12, then it was just another 45 minutes..had they said it was busy and would take longer we would not have drove up there 3 times to pick it up..anyways, yes they offered us a discount which was great. Then a week or so later noticed tranny leak, so brought it back. Again dropped it off and they promised it would be done a little later that day....another long story short...was promised it would for sure be done by 9am the next day...guess they don't realize we have jobs??? So my wife called work and said she'd be in by 9:30.... Yep wasn't done!. We finally had to say put it back together at 12:45 as we both needed to get work. Left without it fixed...however they did say they replaced an o-ring and should be fixed. Guess what... Again noticed a leak... Brought it back again...said the o-ring was torn and replaced it again...after waiting for hours in their "waiting area" left and, yep...you guessed it... Was still leaking... Brought it in the day after Xmas and said it would be done by 3.... Finally ready at 4 and brought it home...noticed some issues driving home but thought the cold maybe or a fluke.. Parked in the garage. Go out the next day to a huge puddle of tranny fluid that had poured out overnight. Yes, they paid for the tow.... And sent home some absorbent towels to clean the mess I our garage..and yes they finally fixed the leak but after another 5 hours in their waiting area on my last day of vacation and after all that stress and inconvience we ended up having to pay someone to have the whole thing re-done because they didn't seal iit correctly and caused air in the transmission fluid which cause the car to stall 6 times on my wife's way home from work and how refreshing it was to have our car back when promised. Oh...and they did offer us a free oil change after all this but it will be a cold day in he## before I would ever bring our cars back there. The stress they caused and missed time from work is inexcusable. Maybe an ok place to get tires but I would not trust them for anything beyond that. read more

This place is an "upsell" haven. Go in for an oil change, they're trying to sell you 4 new tires. Need new wiper blades, your tie rods are bad too. "I wouldn't drive the car with those tie rods" ' Gary the manager tells me. I took my car to another place and all I needed was an alignment. Gary also tells me they're having a friend's and family deal on tires he can give me but it doesn't start until the upcoming weekend, but he'll do this for me. The phone rings and I here the same pitch to the person on the phone, and then again 10 minutes later to somebody at the counter. For an early special deal, he sure is doing a lot of flapping about it. This guy is a schiester and would stay away from Chanhassen Tires Plus. read more
