They would never suggest something that wasn't necessary and their prices are fantastic. They are up-front about what it will cost and will call to clear it with you before starting work. They even let you know if you have more time before you really have to worry. They have done everything from oil changes to a transmission for us and we have built a lot of trust with them. The other guys were nice enough but they charged me $95 for an oil and filter change explaining Ford out out a TSB requiring synthetic oil. Not true. So I searched Yelp and learned of Inline X Automotive's reputation. Inline X is serious about delivery great service. Phone calls are handled promptly and professionally. When walking in, I received a very positive greeting that made me feel like my business was truly appreciated. Even if a simple oil change. I have called an learned my date preference wasn't available but loved the reasons - one weekend a member of the crew was getting married and everyone wanted to go. The only other time was before a Holiday and the owner wanted his team to get off work on time. Every aspect of the customer experience seems thought out. Waiting area is nice but not overdone. Music is nice and upbeat but not too loud. The waiting space is clean. I even received a holiday card and I only visited Inline X three times. When bringing in my car for more major issues, Nhia explained his findings in lay person terms and provided me options. There was no hint of disappointment or degradation of service when I selected the low or mid tier repair option. I don't like coughing up dollars for auto repaired any more than the next guy. However, Inline X is the type of business I like to support knowing I receive value for the dollars I spend and I am supporting an independent business owner who knows how to deliver service and run a business. But that's comparable to similar shops in the cities and it did come with two hours of testing and the peace of mind of knowing my car isn't going to fall apart like a looney tunes car. I took my car here a few weeks ago for an oil change and brake pad/rotor replacement. Upon picking…read moremy car up and driving for a few hours, I noticed a giant oil leak under my car. Took it back promptly and they claimed it was a "faulty crush washer on the drain plug". If I had to guess, it was just installed improperly and they blamed it on a defective washer... Fast forward a to today where I am driving a couple hundred miles later and the skid plate under the engine is scraping on the ground and is barely hanging on by a single bolt. I am guessing they improperly installed the skid plate after the oil change as well. They were nice enough to send some kids over to clean up the oil spill in my driveway, but overall I would strongly recommend taking your car anywhere else but here.
