Each time I've brought my car in and drop it off, I have had to call 5-6 hrs later only to find it's been ready for hours. No communication at all. When I go pick up my car, he cannot explain what they did or why. I am always charged the higher amount and when I try to find out why, all he can do is walk off and try to find someone to answer questions. And then they come in and speak to me like I'm an idiot. I have a feeling they have dishonest practices- esp upselling women. This time I brought my husband who didn't fall for their false explanations. He agreed- they are dishonest and rude. Even though they are 3 minutes from my house, I will drive to Hendo or Sburg so I don't have to go back.

Said I'd never go back and needed a tire plugged. After hours of waiting they told me I needed 3 new tires so they wouldn't plug the one that had a hole...I bought these tires less than 6 months ago. I did not need new tires. I will not under any circumstance ever take a vehicle to Pierce's again. These guys are the reason so many auto repair shops get a bad name...beware before you go that you will be up-sold on everything!

Carz was $400 more expensive than jzm for the exact same tires on the same car. The price difference was unbelievable. A few months later, I had some lights on on my dash on my Prius. I had the red triangle of death and the check engine light. Since it seemed like it could be serious I had two different repair businesses do diagnostics. After the diagnostics JZM's price quote was $300 less than the other business I tried. I'm glad these guys are right down the road from me.

Several years ago, I took my Chrysler Town and Country to Fletcher Automotive for its annual NC…read moreinspection and was told it failed inspection due to a leaking rack and pinion, plus a claim that I had a warped and leaking oil pan. When I asked why the oil and power steering fluids were not low and there were no signs of leakage on my garage floor, I was told it doesn't always show up like that and was advised the repairs required to pass inspection would cost more than a thousand dollars for a new rack and pinion and over $300 for a new oil pan. I asked to talk to the technician and see the leaks, and after claiming it would violate their insurance laws to do so they reluctantly lifted the van, where I saw nothing dripping with only a light oil film on the oil pan and nothing that clearly indicated the rack was leaking. I declined the repairs and took it to F&R Automotive, for a second opinion where its owner Fred Vacok (who recently passed away) reported that he found no rack and pinion leak and merely snugged the bolts on the oil pan to fix its minor leak at no charge. I then took the van to another inspection station, where it passed inspection and confirmed both the rack and oil pan were not leaking and later ran that van for an additional 20,000+ more miles before giving it to my granddaughter. It served her well in her last year of High School and into her college years. I've never gone back to Fletcher Automotive and would caution others to be wary.

Amazing Customer Service!…read more While following someone to drop off their car to be repaired, my tire blew out. I had a two-year old in the car and no AAA. It would have been more than $50 and more than an hour for someone to come fix it. The only luck that I had that day, was that my tire blew out close to Dave's. Joe drove across the highway to my car (saving me the towing fee,) figured out the tire size, ordered the tires and drove back to fix my car. He did all of this while I took my son home so that he could nap. If it wasn't for Joe, I would have been standing on the side of a highway, in the rain, with a cranky, tired two-year-old for what would have seemed like a lifetime. And I would've spent a lot more money. Thank you, Joe. Thank you Dave's.

They have maintained it mechanically better and more economically than Hunter's ever did. At the 1st 100K service point, the dealer wanted over $1000 to perform the required service. At the 100K mile point, the water pump also began to leak, Dale's the 100K service by the book and did it right for $600 including replacing the water pump and changing the transfer cases' odd blue oil. Note, I have 360K miles on this vehicle, and so far, has needed a new water pump at each 100K mile interval, it is on its 3rd pump, but, it is amazingly easy to change out, 2 hour job at most.
