Life Savers: While being stranded at the base of a mountain on interstate 26 at mile marker 57, 600 miles from home, and AAA being a total letdown, these people were able to get my van fixed. They did it quickly. They got me in immediately upon the tow truck dropping off my van. Not only were they opened in a time like this (June 22,2016) but they made time to get me in same day so that I could be at work the very next morning so far from North Carolina. The staff made small talk and we exchanged stories about our families while we waited for our van to be fixed. It wasn't just a sterile waiting room while you wait for a mechanic to do who knows what and charge you who knows how much experience that you get at a corporate national repair shop. After our van was fixed the mechanic showed me what he found, what he did to fix it, and how he tested his work after it was finish to ensure we wouldn't be stranded again after leaving his/their shop. read more

Always a great visit when going to vans! They take care of my wife's and I cars which professionalism and care

I entrusted my vehicle's various tire issues for a third time, yesterday. Van's staff has always been very warm, friendly, and professional. As always, they began working on my problem soon after I arrived, for my scheduled appointment. Pricing seems fair. The waiting room is comfortable and supplied with fresh coffee and snacks. I also appreciate the opened Bible! I will most definitely continue relying on Van's to service my vehicle. ~Lori B. read more

Fast, helpful professionals in a FAMILY RUN community first business. Couldn't ask for better people or service.

I was in the middle of a 3000 mile roadtrip and had transmission failure in Henderson NC. My GPS sent me to Van's Auto Service, as the closest place to me. I really lucked out. I ended up buying a new used car, but not before recognizing the honesty and competence and fair prices at Van's. read more

We were on a road trip driving a classic 69 Camaro and starting having mechanical issues. Stacy immediately got us in and fixed the problem. His knowledge and passion of classic cars was apparent. Anyone who drives a classic knows how important it is to find someone who takes the extra time to fix it right. The price was very reasonable and was fixed fast, so we could get back to our road trip! We made some friends over at Van's and if ever in the area we will come say hi! Thanks again! read more

Van's Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Hendersonville, North Carolina

We spent the weekend in brevard, NC, and as we were starting our return trip to Wilmington, our car decided it didn't want to make the journey and broke down. Our alternator had gone out. Every shop was absolutely slammed (the local Jeep dealer wouldn't even answer the phone) but were recommended by a Good Samaritan to check out Vans auto. We were lucky we did. The team there got us in and on the road in less than a day. They prioritized us and got us a good deal on the parts we needed. All in all, they helped make a bad situation much better. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Highly recommend! Honest people who know what they are doing. After my husband went elsewhere and got an outrageous estimate he went to Vans and got a reasonable estimate and the work was done in an excellent manner. Will definitely go to them for any automotive problems. read more

We were quoted "four hours, maybe a little more" to install headers and side pipes. He had the car all day but called an hour before closing the first day to say he had to order a part and it would be ready the next business day. Assuming they worked non-stop with no lunch, the first day would have been 8 hours. He said he cut us a break and didn't charge for the next day. But he charged for eleven hours labor. Despite his original estimate. This man IS NOT honest. read more

Mister Van and his wife and staff are the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my life. My car was towed to their auto service a few weeks ago. After looking at my vehicle and telling me what was wrong and how much it was going to be to repair it. I then informed him I did not have the money to fix it and we were 300+ miles away from home. They allow me to leave my vehicle there free of charge. My vehicle has been there for 31/2 weeks and I am finally able to get it towed home today. Me forgetting that he is closed on Saturday I had forgotten to call Friday to let him know someone was coming to get it today. I called his shop and left a message in hopes he would by chance check his messages and he did. I would like to say that the people at this business really treat you like a person and go out of there way to help someone out.Thank you Mr and Mrs Van and staff may god continue to bless you all. read more

Have to give these guys props. On a family vacation driving thru on I26, car overheated. Was sent to Van's by a local. They saw the family was in the car and said they'd have a look right then. We went for ice cream 2 doors down. They pressure tested the coolant system and found all that was wrong was a bad radiator cap. We were on our way in about an hour or so. A dishonest shop could've had me for a water pump and a radiator, but these guys were straight up. No more problems for the rest of the trip through the mountains. Thanks Vans! read more
