I can't remember the last time that I've been to this franchise, as I usually go to Take 5, but I'll definitely never go back to this spot. The first alarm bell was that they made me get out of my car. I just want to get in and get out. There should be no need for me to get out of my car for a quick oil change. The second alarm bell was that the few men on staff were swearing up and down that I had been in to their shop recently (I had not) and that they had recently had a car "just like that." It wasn't just one or two comments, but went on for a few minutes and creeped me out. The third alarm bell was that after I filled out my information in the iPad provided and asked if my Veteran/Military discount was included, I was told that it should all transfer from my current profile. I didn't have a current profile. I haven't been to a Famous in many, many years. As I was waiting in their office waiting area, one of the guys came in to walk me out to my car and, basically, up charge me on stuff. I commute to St Augustine every day for work, so I'm staying on top of my oil changes and fluids. However, I'm fairly certain that my coolant needed to be topped off, so I let them do it. That said, I was told that my Veterans discount would "transfer over" and it wasn't included and that they were going to put the current oil that I was using in my car, which was non-synthetic, and they put in synthetic thinking that I wouldn't notice. When my bill popped up to be nearly $200, I looked at it and said that I don't put synthetic oil in this car and that kind of oil should not have been used. The guy at the desk took it down to a regularly priced oil change, but not without making comments in a smarmy tone like "the customer is always right" and generally making me feel like he got caught trying to upcharge me. I felt very uncomfortable from start to finish here. Everyone, ladies especially, avoid this place at all costs.

Walmart would not even give me a refund for the installation of the one tire. I'm going to have to dispute it with my bank. I WILL NEVER do business with Walmart Automotive again.

I purchased the lifetime alignment and tire rotation a couple years ago after purchasing a used…read morevehicle. The very first visit with noise in the front end I was told it was normal and nothing to worry about. Found out it was worn strut mount, tie rod ends and sway bar bushings that were replaced at another shop. Every time I've taken the vehicle in it's developed a rattle in the front end after several days, and received a hefty bill from the shop that replaced the other components to tighten the loose components. On April 11th 2026 i dropped the vehicle off for the rotation and alignment asking the front desk to make sure everything was tightened properly. After washing the vehicle 3 days later I found damaged to a $400 rim. This is an unprofessional business that has negligible technicians. I'd avoid doing business with tires plus at all costs. Second day of driving after tires plus did the alignment and the battery light is on. These clowns have done something to the charging system and now I have to address this issue. I selected College Automotive to repair my truck following an accident, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing. The shop billed my insurance company for repairs that were either not completed properly or not completed at all. Specifically, the rack and pinion was billed as replaced, yet after experiencing continued issues, I sought three alignments and two independent second opinions, all of which confirmed that the rack and pinion was not functioning properly and may not have been replaced. Since the repair, my truck has been returned to College Automotive three separate times due to ongoing problems, including a knocking noise when turning left. The rack and pinion installed was a remanufactured part that should be under warranty, yet the shop has refused to honor the warranty or take responsibility for the faulty repair. Additionally, I was told the shop had communicated with my insurance company regarding these issues, which later proved to be untrue. I trusted this business with a major repair and relied on their honesty and workmanship. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability, refusal to warranty a clearly defective part, and misrepresentation of communication with my insurer make it impossible for me to recommend this shop.
