We were heading to Michigan for Christmas with a leaky tire and had stopped twice for air. Finally decided we needed to get tires replaced. Was dreading the cost or the wait and thought we wouldn't make Michigan same day. Gary Shrek saw our concern, and his team got us in, patched our tire quickly and didn't charge us. I called on Tuesday and could not get my car in (by appointment) until Friday. Come Friday, I dropped my car off EARLY due to work and transportation. TD has had my car 4 hours AFTER my appointment and it still has not even been looked at. What is the point of making appointments if you cannot provide adequate service? I'm beyond upset knowing I most likely will not have my car back today and mainly because they haven't even looked at it! read more

On Sunday, July 31st, at 10:15pm, I went to the TD's website to look for tires for my wife's car. I found a price on Nexen tires for $133.00. I selected this brand tire and requested four. TD's website returned a quote for $723.30, which I was agreeable with. The following day, an employee of the store In Reading, Ohio, called me to set up an appointment. We agreed on Friday morning, so, on Thursday night, my wife and I dropped off her car. The next morning the store called to tell me that he had a better tire that was cheaper on price, about one hundred dollars cheaper, his words. I said yes, of course, who does not want to save money. He did not tell me that my original price had changed, nor was I given a new price. I wish that I would have asked, I was assuming that he was referring my original quoted price. I continued on with my day. Just a few minutes after 12pm my wife calls me and said," hey, you said that these tires were cheaper, and they charged our credit card over two hundred dollars more, and they charged us for tire hazard warranty that we did not ask for, at a price of $108.00". I immediately called the store to ask for an explanation about the price ($935.00). The store representative told me that the price of the tires that I had requested had changed because the sale ended. I had no idea there was even a sale on these tires. TD's website did not disclose that and also TD's website issued a quote to me that had a 7-day quote guarantee, which TD did not and has not honored. There was not one rep from the tire store that even bothered to inform me about this, they had four days to call me or issue me a new quote so that I could make a better decision. We only found out that our quote was supposedly invalid after they had billed our credit card. I was then handed over to the store manager. He refused to see things from my point of view. I asked him when this sale had ended, and he said July 31st. I asked him for clarification on the dismissed quote and he never explained why TD's website issued me a quote at 10:15pm on Sunday night, just to refuse it the next morning, and why no one ever bothered to inform me when they knew for several days that my quote was supposedly invalid, and why he refused to honor TD's 7-day quote guarantee, or why they charged my credit card for a service that was not requested. I asked for the contact information of his supervisor, and he refused. I left that interaction with an overwhelming feeling of distrust. The store manager, Frank Rottenberger, was unprofessional, overly dismissive and lacked general good customer service skills. I requested a phone call from their corporate website, and no one has honored my request. I have bought three sets of tires at this store in the last 24 months, and I have been buying tires from this store since it has opened. I have shopped at this store for years and have never had one issue, until Friday August 5th. TD lost a long-time customer that day. I'm filing a consumer complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Why should I tolerate this? If this happened to me, I'm sure it is happening to other people as well. read more

Went online and created a quote for $310 for their lowest line of tires on my 11 yr old car my teen son drives. My wife picked the car up next day and the employee tried to charge $385. $75 more than online quote. After my wife complaint they knocked $50 off still more than quote from their own website. Also I had purchased a new brand new rim because I knew the front passenger side rim was bent from a previous blowout . I personally had seen the rim . I asked for the new tire to be put on the new rim and the employee who wrote the original order noted it and said no problem. When my wife brings car home the next day the new rim was still in the car. She said the employee told her with an "attitude" that they wouldn't put a tire on a bent rim. Disregarding what I had asked to be done. So I have a brand new tire on a bent wheel. To all who see this review go elsewhere even if means spending few extra dollars ! Employees are condescending believing that their customers are idiots in regards to cars. I'm waiting for response ...too much tire competition to waste time with this store. read more

A one star is $300.00 too high. Had work done on my Honda which included new calipers in the back. After being home I noticed a fluid leak from one of the back wheels. I took my car back and explained my concern and I left it at Tire Discounters to be checked out. The same day I was called and told that after a "pressure" test my car was found to have no leak and was safe to drive. The leak continued and after taking it to another repair shop I found one of the new calipers was leaking. Stay away from here! I had to pay someone else to fix what should of been done right the first time, not to mention the inconvenience of not having a car. read more

Went in today due to low tire pressure in one of my tires, Abbi was so helpful and amazing! She checked the tread on my tires and reassured me that I should be able to make it through winter but will want to replace them soon after. She also filled my tires up and helped relieve my anxiety because of the low pressure light. I will definitely be back after winter to get my tires replaced because Abbi was absolutely wonderful. Great service and very professional! We were on a long road trip and pulled off for lunch, when we heard a sound coming from one of the wheels. We brought the car over, and these guys took an immediate look to see what might be going on, and while it wasn't clear what the problem was, they verified the tire was fine and managed to do something to get rid of the noise. Did not charge and even refused a tip! We were really grateful to continue on our journey with peace of mind, highly recommended! read more

Very very dissatisfaction!!! I was extremely dissatisfied with the way the employee treated customers as well as the service I received. I will never be back and will recommend everyone I know to go elsewhere this place is a JOKE!!!! The reasons for my one star review which I wish I could put a ZERO STARS!! I brought in a trailer with two flat tires. All they needed was sealed and inflated. I was there 55 min before closing and there was two ppl in line in front. The lady at the counter was paying for her repair. Only took a few minutes and then the guy behind her had a question about his tire and had to call either a wife or a girlfriend to make sure it was OK to spend the money and left the building... as Iwalked up to the counter and the employee told me to wait just a minute while he filed the paperwork. He did and then turned around and asked if he could help me but at the same time the original guy walked back in after his phone call. The employee looked at me and said I'll get back to you and went and started helping the man who left to place a call, this was very frustrating that he put a customer in front of me who left the building and then came back... however sad to say this was not the end of my frustration. While helping the man in front of me the people from the back Brought a key of a car they had just finished. The employee at the desk finished up with the man Who was brought in front of me and then called the lady who was behind me to come cash her out. All I got was a look and you'll have to wait a minute. Finally after taking several people in front of me I get to the counter and explained to him what I need. By this time they only have 25 minutes left of being open and he says that it's too late they cannot help me. I explained that it was just two tires that were off their seal from the trailer. He said give me a second let me look at the trailer and went to the back bay. However through the window I could tell he never even left the bay to look at my trailer. He waited a few minutes came back and told me they don't work on that size of tire. It was apparent that this guy did not want to do work because it was close to closing and kept pushing me later and later so that he could use the excuse that they were closed. I believe that a customer should never have people brought in front of them and helped first when they've been standing in line also I believe that they should be told the truth if the guy didn't want to help me he might as well of just told me instead he upset me and he made me very frustrated by lying to me that they would not work on that tire. I hope anyone who reads this will decide to take their business elsewhere or someone above management at this tire discounters from corporate or elsewhere gets involved and takes care of this place as they are a joke and not worth your time!!!! read more

Absolutely unbelievable experience at the Monroe Tire Discounters today....I pull in at 1pm today with a tire almost completely deflated and they are too busy today AND tomorrow to plug it for me???? Didn't even offer me air to fill the tire. So when I get to the gas station across the street for air, I call the same Tire Discounters and I tell the guy I want to buy 4 brand new tires and all of a sudden they can help me AND I could get them put on today.....this place sucks- couldn't help me, but bet your ass they'll sell you some tires!! read more

I'm not a 5star reviewer without ridiculous cause above and beyond, but 4 stars in my book is damn good! TD has been quite good to me. I have 5 cars, and have all tires and most brakes handled there, occasionally suspension items. Not to say there haven't been issues, but more importantly, how the issues were handled. Chris has gone out of his way to help me in a couple of situations, and it's truly appreciated, hence I chose to take the time to write a review. They aren't the cheapest, but they do deliver value (think policy alignment!!). I've chosen to develop a relationship with TireDiscounters, and I think it's going well. I am satisfied with what I get for what I pay. I wish their employee retention was better, but with mgt and staff changing, I do get to meet new people. Their prices have been on the rise, which doesn't make me generally happy, but at the same I don't believe it's more than anywhere else. -Ron Happy Customer for 15+ years. read more

Wanted to do business locally. Called to get a quote on a set of 4 Michelin Premier tires for my car. Was $160 more than the quote I got at Costco. TireDiscounters hadn't even added tax yet. True, Costco doesn't do the "free" alignment. But with tax, we're looking at a $200 difference. Sorry Tire Discounters, you didn't earn my business this time. read more
