So I'm a dumb car owner and everyone here was SO KIND and professional despite me accidentally making them do a bunch of unnecessary work because I didn't know where a spare tire was stored in my car. Bought my tires at Terhune tire discounters supposedly they're going to rotate tires for free made an appointment. Took my car there waited for it to be done. About 30 minutes. And when I got home realized that they didn't rotate them. Wanted to sell me new tires. Because of the tread depth. But I didn't take it there for new tires just rotate back to front. I had an appointment to get new tires put on my vehicle at 1 PM. I arrived on time and had a friend pick me up to go to lunch while my vehicle was being serviced. I was asked before I left what time I needed my car back by and I told them 3 PM because I daughter up from school. I came back at 2:45 expecting my car to be ready within 15 minutes. I was told that they just got my car in and they would get it done as soon as possible. I reminded her that I had to pick my daughter up from school at a certain time that that's why I told them it needed to be completed by 3 PM and that there was no one else to pick her up from school. She then proceeds to tell me that they'll get them done as soon as they can and can bring it back in for the alignment that they would give me a certificate for it. So they rushed and had my car done in 25 minutes. Hopefully the job was good but I don't know because it was done so quickly even though my car been sitting there for an hour and a half with an appointment. This situation caused me major stress as my daughter is special needs and being left at school with no one to pick her up can cause complications for her. There's no need to make an appointment because they will not honor the appointment and they don't care if it causes you any inconvenience at all. read more

On a scale of 1-5 is the gold standard 1-5 with 5 the best, this experience was a 4.8 as far as service. Everyone needs to have growth potential. Otherwise it was refreshing to know there's still a good Tire Discounters who embody the true Tire Discounters spirit. The job was done when promised, the staff was pleasant, they were about the business at hand and attention to detail. Definitely a value add when there's a great staff. I went in for a brake change on Martin Luther King Day. I scheduled it at 2:30 pm because I had things to do with my single car. I get a text at like 8 am asking to bring my car in ASAP because they were busy. Not going to lie didn't see it till like 11:30 am (my fault). However I manage to get there at like 12 something, they have the biggest attitude telling me they sent a text and that there were 22 people ahead of me. Cool thats fine. But the text asked me to bring my car in ASAP which I did I'm not some multi millionaire with a chauffeur to bring me places. They ask if I can do tomorrow I say sure what's the earliest, they tell me 10 am. I get there at like 9:45 checks me in at like 10. Bro. BRO. Again, I didn't have someone to pick me up on Tuesday. I didn't leave until 4:45pm.... I found it absolutely insane my front right tire needed air before I brought it in and me waiting in the lobby from 10am to 4:45pm for a rear brake change they couldn't be bothered to put air in my tire. Took my car in for an oil change, picked it up two hours later to find a dent in the hood. The girl at the counter said we only touch the tires. Which was strange since I had my oil changed. I took it immediately back up there and the manager said they didn't do it and showed me how they gently close the car hoods. I've been going there for ten years, never had an issue. I purchased tires, which I love, at a fair price. While my car was getting tires it was suddenly discovered that I needed shocks and struts, and should have this service asap, at a price of $ 1700.00. I was told not to let this problem go too long. They just happened to have a sale. A stupid female? Not me! I went straight to my Ford dealership and was told my shocks and struts were fine. So disappointed with Tire Discounter! I've bought my tires there before, but unfortunately, will not return. Very poor business practice! read more

I took my mother's jeep here unfortunately to get the BACK struts replaced. They replaced the front. When she noticed something was still wrong after the "replacement" she asked them to double check it. They informed her that they replaced the wrong ones and requested more money to do the correct job. Hesitantly she agreed to a partial payment and they let her know that her car would be ready by the end of the day. Which in fact it was not, we went to pick it up the following day because they could not figure out what they had done to the car. After feeling uneasy about the service she asked me to accompany her in getting the car. Upon arrival, there was no resolution to the on going issue. She was told they would need to keep it longer. When we asked how long, they had no answer. I was at the counter speaking to a very nice man, Chris, about the terrible service we had received & he was attempting to be accommodating to a situation that was out of his control. Unfortunately he was standing next to Mindy Froman the "sales manager" who is the main reason (next to the fact they don't replace the correct parts) I would never return to this location. She giggled and at multiple times made comments about the problems Tire Discounters had caused us as if it was nothing important to her. I asked for the store managers number, no one had it. I asked for corporate's number, no one had it. In my personal opinion Tire Discounters would do themselves a favor if they fired Mindy & closed this location as they are not even able to provide customer service or adequate vehicle service. Based off of the prior reviews no one cares. I wish anyone who chooses to go here in the future luck. I will be happy to post an update after I follow up with corporate tomorrow. For anyone who wants their mother to be safe in a "repaired" vehicle, don't take it here. read more

I would not recommend going to this place, it has been taken over by another outfit, supposingly they said they fired all old employees, my first encounter with them was horrible, they refused to work on my Chrysler because the mechanic wasn't feeling it, are you serious? Than they came up with the car had to much problem's, i took it to another local shop and they said it was my timing belt an got it fixed in one day! another so called mechanic while i was at tire discounter got an attitude with me and my son because he had to charge my drained battery in the sun, these people are un professional! Not a good experience. Went there to have tire checked due to losing air. Service advisor said that they checked tire and found no bubbles coming from the tire for punctures or other stuff. Tire still losing air. The advisor then told me that they would not due anything more because my tires were below the minimum tire tread. They then quoted me for four new tires and did not realize that one of my other tires was less than two years old and still had lot of tread left. I will not give them my business ever. read more

When I noticed the damage 7 days later and asked if they would accept responsibility the Regional Manager told the local manager to tell me I couldn't prove they did the damage. Bought some Pirelli's from Jake Sweeney in Westchester and they lasted about a year although they had 70,000 warranty! Of course I wanted more out of my tires that cost 320 a tire... but they lost a good customer and Tire Discounters in Middletown gained one! Robert helped me choose tires that had longer longevity and for all season specifically extreme cold/hot weather. He went over all the details and answered all my questions in depth.. spent about a good 45-50 minutes on the phone he did not rush me off the phone or seemed annoyed. He is knowledgeable and all the employees there seem nice and helpful. I don't usually write reviews but I do think more people need to get their Tires here. They have the best prices and they do free alignment which cost me 129.00 at the other place. I highly recommend Tire Discounters in Middletown and ask for Robert he is your guy. :-) read more

Went to The Middletown Ohio tire discounters with a blown out ball joint on the driver side of a ram 2500 asked whether or not they could do the job how long it would take Just to find out a scheduling appointment time. They also won't give you this information until you give them your name address telephone number and create a work order to which I repeatedly told him there's no point in wasting your time with a work order if you can't even answer the simple questions for me now. I was given the complete run around with every excuse under the sun from well will have to find out if the parts available we have a lot of people here right now we should be able to get you in within a half an hour. Then when I ask BRANDON Once you get it in and you see that it is the driver side ball joint that needs to be replaced and possible control arm which comes as an assembly how long will the vehicle need to be tied up. You'd think that was a simple question? Evidently not, his response was more legalese (well we don't know until we get under there there's a lot of people here so it's hard to say and then there's the issue of whether or not the parts available it should be but won't know when I can't know until he gets in there to see it) so when I pressed him on whether or not a part is available before we waste each others time he's all part should be available should be operative word. I explained I really need a commitment of one whether you will be able to do the job and whether this part for this specific vehicle would be in stock at your supplier and how long and when you think you could get this job in .He responded with "well that's entirely dependent on what we see once we get under there" and the usual on and on open ended non-conclusive response. so he's wasted my time I'm from out of state I came over specifically due to Supposed positive reviews all I can conclude is that most people just don't question and evidently have all day to sit around in an indeterminate non-conclusive way on whether or not they'll get their vehicle done in that day not know exactly what is wrong with your vehicle and not know whether or not the company can get the parts The luxury of dropping off the vehicle. In my experience is when you get these kinds of open ended non-committed simple questions not answered this is a guaranteed sign of problems to come I turned around and said thanks for your time but since you can't answer my basic questions i'll pass. So if you're looking to get any remote idea on whether or not they can do a job for your vehicle within a scheduled time or whether they have a part in stock for it or not you'll have to wait until they drag it inside however long that may take as he indicated could be an hour that he hast to look at the vehicle it doesn't take an hour to examine a ball joint and know whether or not it's bad it takes about five minutes if not less this is your classic fishing bullshit looking to say well they may be other problems that we'll see once we're under there. So if you plan on going to this place make sure you have an entire day and have absolutely no commitments for scheduling a time I don't expect to get an answer until they've had your vehicle for however long that may be to evaluate what you may know is the problem with your vehicle or not and then after that they i'll tell you whether or not they can even get the part or not after three attempts to get the simple answer and being talked over repeatedly I gave up. read more

My truck went down on I75. They were very fast and helpful. I didn't know they did engine work. I called and explained my situation. They said they could help so I limped the truck over to them. They started right away. After finding the issue they showed me the problem, gave me the list of need to fix now, what should be fixed now, and what needs fixed but can wait. They even took notice of my military plates and calculated a military discount in when they gave me the estimate. Nice and very helpful! read more

We don't live in Ohio, but my boyfriend and I were up there to shop around when the face of our tire blew out on the interstate. AAA towed us to this Tire Discounter and they were only open for about 10 more minutes that day. Instead of telling us to wait until Monday, they took us in and changed our tires. They were awesome to work with and were so kind to us. It made a scary and unfortunate situation so much easier to deal with. Highly recommended to anyone in the area. I was quoted a price via telephone for (4) Michelin tires. I gave the saleman a specific tire to quote and he quoted me a price. I called back later in the day and spoke to the same saleman and accepted the quote and set up an appointment to come in the next day to puschase the tires. Today I went to the store to purchase the tires and was told that the saleman had made a mistake and was told the price would be over $300 more for the tires I wanted. The manager would not honor their quote. I plan on writing a letter to the Ohio Attorney General and posting this review on Facebook so all by friends and relatives will no not to waste their time dealing with Tire Discounters. read more

I sent a vehicle in with my wife solely for an oil change and tire rotation. The tires were bought at this location. The oil change was performed. The tires weren't rotated, nor were the pressures checked. I know this because I mark a tire and the tires were still under-inflated. We were however sold a new serpentine belt, which broke less than 48 hours later, leaving my wife and daughter stranded until I picked them up. So with no power steering, I muscled it home. Visiting the store with another vehicle, the manager told my wife he wouldn't refund any part of the belt's cost and informed her it broke because a pulley stopped turning, which had nothing to do with the installation. I suspect if the belt hadn't been replaced, the vehicle would still be usable. read more

I pay to this store for a year of alignment for my truck. Once the truck come out of the shop I ask the guy in the front desk why the truck is sitting like is completely out of camber, the front tires where sitting in angle towards inside the truck his answer is as that the report said it was good but if I comeback next day they will take care of it. After 2 days I get back to the place and they put my car in the alignment Machine. The result same as before. Explanation was that they did the best to prevent tires for wear uneven I continue driving the car but nothing seams right. This was 2 months ago now I am due to new tires due to that problem I comeback to the place and they tell me that one of my tie rod is stuck and needs to be replaced in order for them to fix the alignment, I whet out to get it fix it and bring the car to the shop again a couple days ago and they put the car in the machine again and produce a reading that said it is ok. But the car still sitting the answer from the long beard guy in the counter is that something should be wrong with my car frame which is not because it was good before I took it to them. Once again they put the truck in the machine for 5 minutes at this time I when out side to see what they do to the car and the technician did nothing took the car down and give it a ride and come out with a new paper reading that all was ready which not again. Is ask them what is going on and after all of this the answer was you need to go to other shop. So don't go to this place you are better off. Now I am on a better place where they compare the readings they give my last time and that wasn't true they are doctoring readings to get out of the way and just collect your money and let you dry. read more

These guys talk a big game but, I believe we all know the deal. They are add on rip off specialists. I went in around 2 weeks ago. Stopped in around 11am. I knew it would be a little bit of a wait on account I needed an alignment, tire plug/patch, and a tire rod replaced. Well 4 hours later they claimed to have finally finished. Here we are a week later and my car pulls to the right worse than before, still have the same screw in the tire they claimed to have fixed. They want to tell me its the tires that need replaced now.. If they spent a little more time on being honest salesman they could have pulled more than a 1 star review. Sad business. read more
