I called at 10:00 this morning to get the tire fixed and was told that they could not repair it today and suggested that I call a different store. so that warranty on my tires is worthless? This review is long but worth reading if you are considering Tire Discounters. I bought a new Mercedes this year that came with summer tires. I only had a little over 5000 miles but winter was coming and I was looking for all season tires and had decided on Michelin Pilot 4 All Season. I went to my usual tire dealerships and they didn't have them so I decided to try Tire Discounters. They looked it up and said they had them in their warehouse and I left a $100 deposit. A few days later I went back and they put tires on and they insisted on doing a "free wheel alignment" which I said I didn't want since my car ran perfect and only had a little over 5000 miles. They said it was part of the package and was necessary for the warranty.... I walked over to the bay when they were doing the alignment and I asked if it was ok and the technician said it was perfect except the steering wheel angle was off a degree or so. I looked closer to the tires and noticed these were summer tires which was the reason I was changing the tires to all season tires. They apologized and remounted my old tires since they didn't have the tires came for in the first place. They told me to come back and they will offer me Continental tires at a good deal... I drove away mad after wasting hours and so forth and now I was furious when my steering wheel was crooked to go straight. Remember I did not want the alignment and came back and said "put the steering back to my original settings before we talk about other tires. They fixed the alignment and they gave me a price on Continental tires and I said I had a better deal and showed them the price on the internet of that tire on my regular tire dealer. They were charging me 30 dollars more per tire and were hesitant to match the price... I got my car back and asked the technician what he found and showed me an adjustment he made and said he was not going to discuss this anymore... Fine I left and cancelled the $100 deposit. My credit card agreed but said the vendor might challenge it and they did and said I got a wheel alignment. Remember I didn't want an alignment and they did a second one to correct the first and they charged me $100 dollars for that. Now I have to dispute this further and I am totally dissatisfied with their incompetence and arrogance to impose a wheel alignment when I insisted I did not need or want and they are pissed at me because they had to do another alignment to fix the one they screwed up to begin with and wanting to sell me substitute tires for more than the local competitors. read more

My only issue was when I opened the tailgate to put in some groceries-there was my spare tire. In April I had a blow out at the intersection where this store is, so I limped to them and got 4 new tires, and the road hazard because the other 3 were close to need to be replaced. I had no issues with tire wear the 2 years prior to owning my new car, but 8k miles after me getting 4 brand new tires and an alignment supposedly being done, my rear tires are bald from the center to the outside. I had a leak in one of my tires, so I called at 8am and asked if they could take me. They took me right away, fixed the tire (took a while for them to find the leak), found a nail/leak in one of my other tires, changed my oil, and overall just had stellar service and communication in spite of being slammed that day with appointments. I was in and out in 2 hours (mostly because it took a while to find the leak). Could not be happier with the service and experience--I will definitely be back. And they didn't try to upsell me on anything. They were honest and to the point. Took my Infinint G37 to have the battery cable connection fixed. Will not tighten. On the Infi they have a lot of fuses and things associated on that piece. Anyway they changed the cable but now my sound does not work on my radio. Everything looks like it works...but with no sound. I have to say that I ended up having more services done than originally intended, but they were needed. Tire prices are inline with other discounters, but the other stores don't include a free alignment. Tire Discounters does! I had to have new brake pads and rotors, although it hurt hearing that news, the discounts provided during Thanksgiving weekend saved nearly $500 overall. The service was great, time spent for repairs was good and seemed to be thorough. My SUV drives like new, braking is smooth, steering and traction is responsive in the heavy rain this weekend and the Pirellis are quieter than the old Michelins I had. I'm out a few bucks but happy with the return to the car I once had when it was new! read more

Brought car in for regular oil change and tire rotation. Use this location for all oil changes and tire rotations since this is where we bought the tires. We service it regularly. They told me the front tires need to be replaced as they are badly worn on the insides. I looked it up and the 4 tires were bought in Jan 2019 and have only been driven 39K miles. They are supposed to be 60K mile tires. They said that because of the way the tires are worn, they won't qualify for the warranty and that this must have happened because the car came out of alignment. I pointed out that this location does all the tire rotations, so why am I just now hearing that there is an issue and that I need 2 new tires. Shouldn't they have seen an issue the last time? Surely, they weren't fine before. I don't think they could go from fine to needing to be replaced in 5K miles. read more

Had an appointment to repair a damaged tire rim; the rim was bent and I bought a replacement and needed it swapped and mounted with the old tire. I had a 1pm appointment and the attendant said they had other issues and probably wouldn't get to it until late or maybe tomorrow. I asked what the issue was and he said mounting four tires for other people first. When I asked why, because I had an appointment, he kind of laughed and said it was just a recommendation and I should probably go someplace else if I wanted it sooner. TD keeps service and quality very consistent across all their stores around Louisville. This location is particularly close to my house, so it's nice to drop off my work truck and head home and wait there until its service is complete. The staff is always helpful and not there to upsell you dumb gimmicky crap that tire/automotive repair shops are notorious for. As long as TD continues to honor fleet management programs, I will always bring my work truck here for service. read more

I went the route of the Cincinnatti BBB and as of this date it is closed out with no resolve. They feel that the gift card is sufficient in resolving the charge for road hazard and will not refund any more monies even though I have the refund paperwork that was filled out by the manager. I had shopped around for prices on tires. Literally 10 different places. For everything that I got at tire discounters on Lagrange Road, no one could beat it. But to be honest that was not the main reason I went there. It was because of the customer service! When I called I talked to Chris. This man went above and Beyond to help me, explaining things no one else took the time to. He was so friendly and professional at the same time. I made an appointment for three hours later even though they were busy he knew I was in a hurry and worked it in for me. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Never saw the tires come off my car. When the guy brought my car out, I asked if they did a tire rotation; and he nodded his head yes. My rear tires have a red marking on them, so I went to look, I saw the red marked tires still in the back. Manager spoke with the guy and he claimed he rotated the tires side to side. Manager was nice and discounted the oil change, but beware of the back people not being honest and doing their jobs. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy. I bought a new set of tires two years ago and when doing so the staff was very helpful and not pushy at all. They helped me pick the best tires for my needs and helped me start a payment plan that worked perfectly for my income at the time. Now, 2 years later I have flat and since I signed up for the tire insurance I am not paying nearly as much to replace this tire as I would've had I not gotten insurance. All I can say is why even bother scheduling appointments if you don't abide by them? I had an appointment scheduled at 3 to repair two flat tires. I got there at 2:50, was told that they would start on my car as soon as the next bay was available and that they would be done at 4:30 at the latest. First I saw two cars go in before mine, but I can let that slide. However they didn't even pull my car in to start working on it until a full hour after my appointment. I waited a little while longer and finally at 5:30 I asked what was going on and was finally able to check out and leave. I understand that things happen and that things take time but be realistic when it comes to how long things might take so that I can make other arrangements so I don't have to sit in an uncomfortable chair in your lobby for an hour longer than I was originally told. I recommend that if you do come here don't count on being able to wait, it would be in your best interest to drop your car off and make other arrangements. read more

Arrived around 8:30 AM to give the guys time to get settled. You know, have a cup of coffee and get cooler talk out of the way. Tire rotation and balance took an hour and half. Pointed out that the service tech, whom I could observe through he window, seemed to struggle with just getting the vehicle on the lift. Was informed he was having a rough start to his day. After all that, once I got the vehicle on the road, the steering wheel vibrated quit badly. Stopped at the Westport Road location in frustration and explained what transpired. Josh Sgantes, Service Manager, had me in and out in 20 minutes. One wheel was two and half ounces out of balance. Another slightly less. Problem solved. Guessing my next tire service will be at the Westport Road location in light of the experience at the La Grange Road facility. read more
