We went to Tire Discounters at 91st.& Michigan Road to have our tires rotated, as we purchased new tires a year & a half ago! We were told it would take an hour & we waited & saw our car moved once & 15 minutes later brought back out & parked & never moved again. You can not do that job in 15 minutes!! We set for 45 more minutes & they said it was done. My husband checked the tires & they had not been rotated! Because we are senior citizens they think we're stupid NOT!! Bad service! I had my first experience with Tire Discounters yesterday and I will say it won't be my last. They not only gave me a great discounted price on four tires but went out of their way to make the whole transaction memorable. When I arrived a little after lunch the place was packed. I was informed by Rick the Service Manager that if I waited it could be as long as 3 hours for the work to be done. He sensed that this wound not work and I informed him we may have to come back another day. He then suggested that he would call and pay for an Uber to take us home and he will call us when the work was completed. About 3 hours latter, he called and we went to get the car. I came in to get 4 new tires and they told me I would get a free oil change and alignment. Great I came to pick up my car the next day and when I was driving something seemed off when i parked my car in my drive way with my wheel straight my tires were turned to the right completely. So my car was not aligned I called the next day and told them of course they fixed it and told me it would be free of charge like yeah it will be free of charge i'm not going to pay you for not doing your job right. The bad part is 2 people checked off on this before I left I asked for neither of those people to touch my car again. a guy named Matt said he fixed my alignment which he did but I don't trust they did my oil change right or anything. I would not trust this company and will never bring my car back to them. Matt was the only worker who was polite. Another worker came in but you could not hear a word he said when he spoke to you and acted like he hated his job. so long story short I will never come back to this business and I highly recommend that you don't give them your business either. read more

Came in last week to get a new tire, asked if they could do the oil change while they had it. The rep told me it would be no problem and they could have it done that day, I told them not to rush I'd be back tomorrow to pick it up. It wasn't done when I called in the morning, so I showed up around 11 and payed for everything as they were just finishing. About 15 min after I left I get a call saying they forgot to do the oil change. I brought it back the following week, he told me it would take 15-20 min max. I have been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and a half and they still haven't got my truck into a bay to start. I'm very unhappy with how everything has gone, I do not recommend this location and definitely won't be back. read more

DO NOT GO TO TIRE DISCOUNTERS! I have used another company for years, and decided to give Tire Discounters a try this time because they had a good deal on a set of tires, but quickly realized that there are ridiculous hidden fees, and they don't really stand behind their warranty. When you purchase the "Worry Free Guarantee" extended warranty for your tires, you pay 15% of the cost of the tire to cover you for 3 years of any issues. The thing they don't tell you is that in order to replace those tires if something goes wrong, you HAVE TO pay another 15% of the cost of the tire for ANOTHER extended warranty in order for them to honor the warranty you have already paid for. This is the literal definition of EXTORTION: making you pay more to receive something you have already paid for. This is exactly like paying for a year of car insurance, and then when you get into a crash, they cover your car only IF you pay for another year of car insurance. The warranty page on their website says, "You will be responsible for the cost of a new certificate in order to continue coverage under the warranty," but it doesn't say that new coverage is mandatory to purchase for the replacement tires. It's absolutely horrible business, and works like a subscrition plan that you can't get out of once you start. I'm done and will be going somewhere else, and I would suggest that anyone else do the same. I do want to say that the guys in this shop are nice guys, and I haven't had a problem with the quality of their work, but the company policy on their warranty is straight-out extortion. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. Got straight to it, no haggling was shown a few options, explained the warranty and replacement costs and bam. An hour later I was out with two new tires. I didn't even sit down, but looked to have a nice sitting area. The front salesperson, Travis, was humping, but he made sure to acknowledge customers, their wait, and keeping things moving. This morning an irate customer was ranting on about how much he paid for work on his vehicle and wanted his money back because the vehicle was not handling well. The manager handled the situation extremely well and remained calm even while the man was raising his voice and seemed agitated. After explaining that the issue was with the car dealership where the man bought the car the manager asked the customer to leave the store because he kept yelling. I have bought tires at this location before and plan on purchasing tires here again because they have treated me very well and am pleased with the service and quality of their products. read more

I am not one to write many reviews, but this place deserves one! My family and I were on a road trip for AAU Basketball. We finished dinner and noticed a flat tire at 5:45 noticing that tire discounters closed at 6:00 I called ahead thinking there was no way they would fit us in before they closed. Travis was already overtime on his shift, but chose to work us in anyway. The girls had another game to get to. They patched the tire and had us back on the road in 20 minutes. When I walked back in to pay, he was holding my keys and said don't worry about it. Service like this isn't something I find anymore! I almost wish we lived here so we could give them more business. These guys are the real deal. I ran over a screw on Friday and needed to get my tire plugged with limited time on Saturday. Showed up first thing in the morning and asked if they could get me in before 9:15. They shot me straight and told me they had some orders to finish out and they were short handed so it probably wouldn't work by then, but told me to check in again in the afternoon after I had finished up working my basketball games and to ask for Eli. Went to work my games and hit up Eli around 2:00 and he said they could definitely get my tire fixed up before they closed. Eli and the tech hooked me up and got my tire fixed and me back on the road by 3:30. The best part was Eli gave me a sweet deal on the work and they saved me from having to drive around 465 at 50mph with my cautions flashing on my spare tire for another day. Gave both him and the tech a tip to show my appreciation and thanks for helping me out of that bad situation. Really appreciate the honesty and love they had for me even though it was my first time there. Took my car in for a slow leak. Juan said they would check it out and if it's just a small patch they could do it for free. Juan called back and said the small hole was on the side, which is not patchable. I need a new tire and it would cost $180 including labor and tax. I sent my husband to go pick it up the next day and he waited in line for over an hour because the computer was down and they couldn't print invoices. They sent everyone in line back home and closed the store so they could fix the computer. Couple hours later the store reopened and my husband went to pick it up at which time he was charged $240. When my husband told them we were quoted 180, Juan changed it back to $180. Then we asked for the tire to check to make sure they weren't lying to us about where the leak was and he said they already disposed of the tire. Juan was rude and the whole service experience was very bad. I would not recommend this place!! read more

Coming here was NOT a good experience! I really wish it was and I could say great things. Weeks ago I called various tire stores looking for quotes. A guy who worked at Costco actually recommended Tire Discounters and told me I would receive excellent service. When I called I was really blown away by the guy I talked to over the phone. He gave me a fair quote on tires and told me I would receive great service. I was sold! A few weeks later during my fall break I called to make an appointment. The man said there was no need as they were not busy. I told him a time anyways and he said he put me down. I scheduled two new tires and 50% off an alignment. When I arrived they had a special on oil changes so I added that on as well. The man told me it wouldn't take more than an hour. So I left my car and went over to Costco to do some shopping. A friend picked me up with my groceries to go and grab my car. TWO AND A HALF HOURS later and my car was still not finished. I was then told I would have to wait another 30 minutes for the alignment. I immediately told them not to do it since I had to go. The manager then says there was a confusion and my car had already been aligned and apologized for my wait. But it took another 20 minutes for me to pay. Then the guy who did my alignment said he was unable to fully align my car. Okay? So why am I paying for an alignment? At this point I was so fuming mad and already not feeling well I left. I did call to speak to the manager on my way home about how unhappy I was. She offered to refund my alignment and realign my car. The problem is that the shop is far from me and it wasn't that simple to get back in. She said they could not do a refund over the phone. I'm giving three stars for her effort, but sadly it was too late. I should have been offered a refund in store for them not doing what they said and also for the wait. If I was expecting to wait 2 plus hours I would have arranged to drop the car off for the morning. You shouldn't quote someone a time that you can't stick with. Lesson learned! I tried to support a new business and felt so good about it in the beginning, but left so incredibly disappointed. Next time discount tire will be getting my business. I hope this place can work out the kinks to better serve customers in the future. read more

They made setting the appointment easy, got me in on time, and actually got me out way earlier than I expected. I loved how clean it was, waiting room is comfy and nice, and I also love that you can see your vehicle in the spot it's in while they work on it since there's multiple screens on the wall showing the bays, etc. I went in 11/2021, and I forget the man's name who checked me in and out but he was very friendly and loved he wasn't cranky early in the morning. :) For tires, I bought the Milestar tires for a 2016 Dodge Caravan, (225/65r17) and not sure I like the sound of them on the road, so would probably go with a different brand next time but when I need new tires, I'm definitely coming back here! read more

I was really impressed with the guys at this location! Very polite staff here! Everyone I came in contact with communicated clearly, were pleasant in demeanor, clean cut, and smiling! Nice to see actually, and they were in a crunch and backed up, but kept their composure too, nice job! The wait was long....2.5 hours, an hour longer than quoted, however, I was warned there was a wait. I didn't have anything to do anyway, so I'm not holding it against them. Waiting area was clean, open, with 2 TVs to watch, no cold drinks though, only coffee. I purchased 2 tires for the front, and had them rotated, not time for an alignment, but was given a coupon to come back.... In passing, I mentioned my brakes making a grinding noise...(trigger brother's voice, 'grinding brakes, very bad, Becky!'), but explain that I'd be back when they weren't so busy. Well! They checked my brakes! Reassured me that all was well and no need to worry....whew! Thanks guys! Imagine that in this day and age! Someone taking the initiative to do something without being asked and solely for your safety! Very pleased! Keep up the great work guys! After waiting FOREVER on a Saturday with my two girls in the store to have a tire replaced. I left and my tire had never been balanced, I then took it to our usual store and they said our tire was out of balance by 4 oz. Then upon further inspection there was also a lump in the tire. The absolute worst service I have ever received. They had my van for five days and did nothing. Every time I called I had to wait on hold for at least 30minutes. I continuously had to call them, when they said they would call back they never did. They told my warranty company they had no possible way of sending an invoice which is something any and every business has to do to sustain a profitable business. When I expressed my frustration to the manager he stated the warranty company and I got rude with one of his employees (which was after several days of frustration and was warranted by their lack of competency and customer service) and told me they could not help me & hung up on me all while having my van. Mind-blown by the disorganization and lack of disorganization. The manager was extremely unprofessional and clearly doesn't know how to manage his store. Edit : they also wanted to charge me $199 for an alignment. I went to Tire Barn and not only did the manager there go ABOVE & BEYOND working with my third party warranty company, they only charged $129 for the alignment. Tire Barn also noticed an impact bulge on another tire & worked with the warranty company to get that tire covered for me as well. Tire Discounters didn't even ever mention the bulge. read more

I had purchased a set of tires there and the other day one had a large stake in it. Luckily I had also purchased the road hazard coverage so the tire was no charge. They transferred one from another location so I could get it done the same day. Took my car in to have the alignment checked because I'm having issues with my tires. Their running a special for free alignments, so that was extremely helpful. Nick did the check and let me know that I'm a little out of alignment on the front right side but not enough to cause my tire issues. We talked about a few other things, and I asked him to give me a quote for the areas that we discussed, as well as the front brakes. The quote was reasonable, so I'll probably be going back for a front brake replacement. They can resurface the rotors, if it's possible, so that will save some money. They were super nice and not pushy at all. Their prices are way better than the dealership, and the waiting area is really nice. I brought my 2007 Denali In for any engine rebuild.i know I shouldn't have brought vehicle to a tire shop,but supposedly they had master mechanics. I got quoted 3600.00 had invoice in hand and left vehicle.june 28th.vehicle didn't get finished until mid October when I arrived to pick up vehicle it couldn't get vehicle unless I paid them 4300.00 i asked im unaware of this price,never was told of price change.so until I paid 4300 in couldn't get vehicle.i reluctantly paid. Vehicle was smoking so I called back they told me to bring the vehicle.i told them I didn't want to be stranded and since they have a whole campaign about they will pick up vehicle. They first told me that doesn't apply to me. It took them 2 1/2 weeks to pick up vehicle. Before they picked it up I went to use my jack and it was missing. So they keep the vehicle 2 weeks to tell me that now my oil pump is bad that's why its smoking and I needed to give them more money,and also said they needed to re-replace 2 lifters from engine build that was covered. Its now Nov and ive called corporate over 20 times left 4 or 5 complaints no one from Tire Discounters have contacted me except from the scammers from Michigan .i wouldn't suggest this place to my enemy bad business.and I have documents to prove. So im omw to pick up a vehicle they had over 4mos. Over 4,000 dollars and I dont even know if it runs.... I had a flat tire but enough meat to check a couple of prices I guess the guy in there at the time didn't like that I just didn't get the tire so when I went back he never came back out to help me.
