I had a wonderful experience at Tire Choice today. I left work expecting a normal commute but I immediately realized that my rear tire had lost substantial air during the work day. I made it from Carrollwood to Lutz (ultimately picking Tire Choice after I called and was able to secure a 6:30 appointment). The sweet lady who works the front desk called me and said that they could service the tire an hour sooner, which was perfect since I was almost there anyway. Dylan was efficient and diligent in patching the tire. What could have been hundreds of dollars only cost me $42 dollars, which is a very happy ending to an initially stressful experience. I definitely recommend this location as a reliable auto shop to have your car serviced. I would also return to this location if I have tire needs (which I hopefully will not) in the near future! read more

I went to Tire Choice in lutz fl to replace my 12v battery in my BMWX5 in my trunk. I was quoted $529 but after looking at and paying invoice I found a charge of $174 for labor (fitting was supposedly for free) maybe wrong but thought labor was fitting. Was also charged $44 to dispose of battery no mention of this before paying invoice. BMW cost for new battery is only $270 no charge to dispose. Not at all pleased read more

I make appointment for 7:30am for allingment. First in line. At 11:30am i call to see if was ready. A female told me they working in my car. I made an appointment online to get one of my tire changed but when I came in they told me it would still take hours to compete. I asked them could they give me an estimated time range and they just kept saying they would call when it's done. I had to call multiple times to get an update until finally I just went back up there and my car was sitting in the parking lot finished, but nobody called me. A call would have been appreciated. Rescheduled for 8am the next morning. Called at 7:30, still only three tires. Delivery driver dropped 4th off, but took one with him? Was told manager would be in at 9 to handle everything. I got there at 9:30, no manager until 11 now. Asked for a refund, do yourself a favor, go somewhere that has people that can actually complete a job. read more

No customer service. Actually act like you'r bothering them. I've bought sets of tires from them. Now I'm done. Just a year ago my wife had a tire leak. They sold her a set of tires. This year another leak. We have to leave the car for 2 hours. No one in parking lot, no one in waiting room. 2 hours later we return. Car sitting in same spot. My wife goes in. Comes back out and says we have to buy a $212.00 new tire. So I go in and here is the explanation: It has a staple puncture, 2 holes too wide to cover with any of their patches. At the same time I asked about tires for my Jeep wrangler...Only tire available in 4 tires is $279.00 each. I have spent $1000's here. No effort, Not friendly, overpriced and they lie. IN MY OPINION. Made an appointment online but the online tool doesn't work. The gentleman who took care of me informed me of the issues and how to proceed moving forward. Tire Choice got me in and out based on my appointment time despite the hiccup. The team was extremely pleasant and friendly. Being so close to the nail salon was a GREAT way to spend time killing two birds with one stone. The team even asked to check out my manicure! I walk in to an empty lobby which is okay and understandable. Like the day prior when I dropped my car off they were extremely busy. After waiting patiently less than 5 mins a female associate walks in and goes straight to the adjacent room and does not speak a word. I wait a few more mins then I walked around to the open bay without entering trying to get one of the mechanics attention to see if there was an associate that could help me. Through the noise I was finally able to get the closest mechanic attention and he flagged what I think is the supervisor and said he would helps. I get to the counter and inform him of what I'm here for. Another male associate comes and takes over and immediately prints 3 sheets that and ask for payment. I look over the sheet and it has a zero balance. I ask for the printout that has what I'm paying requested amount. His retort was "yea when you pay and get your receipt" Surprised at his response I asked for it now. I had to cancel the transaction then he reprinted one of the sheets and threw it on the counter. During this pandemic I try really hard to give ever business the benefit of the doubt more than usual but this experience was horrible. The worst customer service ever! Come in to get a simple nail pulled out of my back right tire. Guy says no problem shouldn't take long. I dropped car off at 1:00 after making a appointment online. Which is clearly a waste of time. Because when I finally call at 4:00 to find out what's going on. The guy says he will start on it now.. lol. Unbelievable. More unbelievable, I come in at 4:15 and they have the wrong tire off the car looking for a leak. I had to tell them again what tire to work on. Then I get attitude from the other guy inside. It is useless to make an oil change appointment at this location. I had an appt set up and told them I would be waiting for my car. Told it would be 45 minutes. 1 and 1/2 hours later, car still on rack. I told them to either do the job, or give me my car back as I had to go. It's obvious that appointments mean nothing to them and that should be a job that takes precedence over other work. I will not return here again. I've been using them for over a year, but it just keeps getting worse each time. There are too many other companies close that can do services and I am going to one for my next service. read more

I recently purchased new rims for my car and worked with Steve here to get them installed along with new tires. Steve was able to beat the price I found for the exact same tires on Tire Rack and had them ordered and in stock for me within 3 days. When I went in to get my Rims/Tires installed, they found that the existing lug nuts I had on my OEM Rims would not fit and he worked diligently to get them ordered and installed within 2 hours of my dropping my car off. The installer and Steve stayed past their 7pm closing time to ensure my Alignment was straight and everything was in line before I drove off. It was raining, and one of our windshield wipers stopped moving. We found these guys on yelp, We stopped in, and they wouldn't let us pay them for repairing it. We were in and out in no time. My Camry had a steering problem, and I took my car here for a diagnostic on the problem. I was told that the issue was that I needed both a power steering pump and a new rack, which would cost $1200.00 to do. I was suspicious of both parts going out at the same time, so I took my car to a Toyota dealership for another diagnostic check and they told me that the problem was actually the power steering fluid reservoir, which was clogged. I went ahead and changed it and the power steering on my car was back. If they don't have the proper equipment to diagnose a problem, they shouldn't do it. I would not recommend this business for auto repairs. read more

Absolutely terrible! Had a 15:30 appointment for an oil change & asked when I dropped off your open till 6 right? Yes, never called I show up @ about 5:40 & car hasn't been moved nor have I been called, say your only open till 6 right? No I'll stay open till I'm done, I'll call ya when it's done. My buddy dropped me off there @ about 9:20 & i grabbed my car, still in the same spot I left it @ about 1500 hours 30 minutes before my appointment, still unserviced & still without a call! Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever seen! It's so bad it's almost unbelievable! I normally support local businesses but I'm serious when I say this I hope this one fails! Is anyone ever happy when they get over charged? Be prepared if you need an auto repair. Always ask what the labor cost is. I made this mistake. Parts mark up is 3x and then there is a $20 fee for everyone just because (smile and open your wallet)! My recommendation is search mobile mechanics. There are excellent and honest ones out there and the cost is cut in half because there is no costly overhead. I used one for a head gasket, clutch and a motor for electric window. read more

Absolutely the worst. Honesty is not their policy! Making $ at our expense is what this place is about. Simple oil, lube and filter at noon during a weekday with virtually no other customers turns into a 2 hour ordeal. Then they refuse to rotate tires and try to sell me new tires. They claim the tread was too low. At 4/32, which by consumer reports magazine, means they are close and at 2/32 or the tread bars=new tires. I wasn't there yet but they refused. When I asked for the district managers # he became obnoxious and refused. I will never return here. read more

I wish there were a way to give negative stars. I brought my car in to this location in October for a routine 60k mile tune up that should have cost around $400. Eight hours and $1200 later, my car was returned to me with new tires, new brakes, and the assurance that I would need NOTHING done in the way of repairs for a long time. The very next morning, my check engine light came on, and I noticed my brakes squealing. My new brakes. Two days after that, I noticed my washer pump for my windshield wipers did not work. There was fluid in there, and my wipers worked, but the washer pump did not even make a noise when I tried to use it. I assumed the check engine light was a fluke, and that perhaps the sensor had just gotten knocked, and I decided to wait until my next oil change to have them fix it (because I did not want to spend another three hours sitting in their shop). I also assumed the brakes were squeaking because they were new. I figured the washer pump could wait. I'll never assume again! I went back on March 27th for my oil change and to have the other issues checked out. Another FIVE HOURS later, I'm approached with an estimate for $670. I was handed some ridiculous story about a hole being ripped in an axle boot, and that it was flinging oil as I drove. Funny, I'd never seen any oil in my garage, on my driveway, or anywhere else, for that matter. Also needed two more tires, and an a/c belt. I was VERY hesitant to allow them to do these repairs, but I was leaving the next day for a four hour road trip, and didn't want to take any chances (especially with my five year old in the car). I had forgotten to mention the washer pump, but they told me they fixed the check engine light, and said my brakes were squeaking because I needed the two new tires (what?). Twenty minutes in to our trip, my check engine light came back on. I brought the car back on April 11th. AGAIN, I sat for nearly three hours, and when Kevin came in to the waiting room and sat down to tell me ANOTHER ridiculous story about cars and how things worked, I had had enough. He told me the check engine light came on because of an emissions code, and that I needed a new purge control valve solenoid. Why wasn't this ever looked at before? Perhaps when I asked them to check on it the last time I was in? What a coincidence that the valve broke while my car was under their care. I was told the new valve would be $60, and that the manager, Robert Lawshe, would do me a "favor" and not charge labor, since I'd had so many problems. The washer pump was also broken. No favors this time! $70 for the part, and $100 for the labor. Again, for something that broke under their care. I asked for my keys and left. Two days after that, I noticed my steering column shaking terribly every time I used my brakes. I'm afraid I now have a warped rotor, and there is no doubt in my mind that these moronic rip-off artists are responsible. I would rather drive 100 miles out of my way to go to a reputable mechanic than to ever spend another penny at this lousy dump filled with lying, condescending scam artists. read more

Recently needed four new tires for my wife's car. After pretty much getting a quote from all the tire shops in the immediate area, decided to go with Tire Choice. Dealt with the General Manager, Steven Fruge. Comparing "apples to apples", they had the best price in the area for the tire I wanted. I went in on a Tuesday and let him know I was driving down to Miami the next day and my preference would be to use the car (more room for the family), but understood if it couldn't be done. Steven went to work and made some calls and said he could have it done that day (this was about 3:30p in the afternoon and the tires weren't in stock). Picked up the car at closing time and after getting it home, noticed the tires that were put on were the wrong set (different model of the brand I wanted). Went in at 7:30a the next day and addressed the issue. Without hesitation, haggling and trying to get me to accept what was installed, Steven confirmed the error and immediately worked on resolving the issue. He had the issue corrected by 11a and we were on our way to Miami. Would recommend Steven and the Tire Choice for tire replacement. Actually, my car will be due for tire replacement soon and I won't be getting a bunch of quotes in the area. I'm set on using Tire Choice based on my experience. Made an appointment online on Friday for 10am Sunday. The request for appointment included what size tires I wanted 235/45R19 95H. I got a confirmation of my appointment. Online they showed the were in stock. Got there on Sunday for my appointment there were no tires available. They checked their other stores but they did not have them stock either. I asked why they confirmed my appointment if the tires were in available or at least call me so I would not have to make the trip for nothing. I am not a happy camper. EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED !!!!! Recently I visited the sr.54 location when my truck had a minor problem just as I was passing by their location. A couple days previous to this my truck had popped out a spark plug on its own and we had replaced it but apparently had not tightened it down enough so it repeated the problem and pop it out again just as we're passing Tire Choice. We are hard-working guys and we're on the way to a critical job site where we are painting a large house in the Trinity area. We were relieved to see that Tire Choice was right across the street from where the truck decided to have the problem for we were thinking we would just pop in there real quick and either appeal to their mercy and have them screw it back in for us or pay them whatever they needed to put it in for us. So we go inside and greet them in a friendly way with which we were immediately greeted back with negativity by a older guy with a flat top guy named Mike who appeared to be in charge. So I walk in and say good morning fellas I'm hoping I can appeal to your Goodwill here we're kind of in a tight spot and have a minor problem we're hoping you can help us with, Mike immediately says no Goodwill here. I laughed it off thinking that this was just him being cynical or joking little did I know he was dead serious. Mind you there is not a single car in any of the Bays at the time and these guys weren't doing anything but sucking up air conditioning. So I then proceeded to explain my problem to Mike and let him know the spot that we were in hoping that he would help us with our little problem even though I know they're Tire guys. After explaining what was going on to Mike he then tells me that he won't touch it without charging us anywhere from 150 to $200. TO SCREW IN A SPARK PLUG!!! Well and this is where it got crazy I actually had no choice but to agree to this because like I said we are late to a job site and needed to get our day moving on so finally I tell this guy alright we'll go ahead and do it at which point he then tells me he doesn't even want to do the job and refuses, and tells us basically get moving on down the street!? It took everything I had to remain polite with this guy instead of treating him how he was treating me and truth be told I'm not really one to tolerate this kind of treatment and I felt like treating him somewhat worse. So after collecting my temper and my better judgement I decided to go on down the street where I found an advance auto parts store who was more than helpful got me on the road in less than 5 minutes for $20 so hats off to them but I also thought it worth mentioning that when I spoke to the guy at the counter at Advance Auto he also said that he had heard this story a number of times and knew about this guy very well said that he had heard many complaints of the same nature. So not to say anything bad about Tire Choice I do not know anything about them or their service for I was not even given the chance to find out Mike saw to it that I was thoroughly ran out of there unhappy and unserviced so I guess in the end I should thank them for letting me keep my 100 to $200 that they were going to charge me, not to mention I can't tell you how happy I am that Mike did not end up getting a piece of any of my hard-earned money. read more
