This place has horrible service. I came in yesterday because my tire light was on. They just put air in the tires and sent me on my way -- no inspection, no effort to check for any other possible issues. Now, less than a day later, the tire light is back on. When I came back, they told me I'd have to make an appointment for tomorrow. Why? I literally came in yesterday, and they didn't even do a proper assessment the first time. I told them to just take a look at it now -- they said I'd have to wait, and I said that's fine. It's a tire light, it could be something serious. But they don't take anything seriously, even when the customer came in just the day before. This kind of lazy, mediocre service is unacceptable. I will not be coming back. read more

Took my SUV in for an alignment on a Saturday (I called ahead to see if they could get me in). They got me in and did an alignment. They have a nice waiting area with a TV and charging station & bathroom. Free Wi-Fi. Employees are nice and friendly. Was told their alignments come with a 3 month guarantee and I can bring it back anytime within 3 months to get a free alignment. My vehicle drives so much better now. They have really good hours, being open on Sat & Sun is a plus! I was impressed with this place and will go back. Highly recommend them!! read more

This place is awesome! I will be coming here for all my tire needs. They are very awesome and straight forward with you. My visit was on 7/23/2022. They had to order my tires. But had them the next day. The manager working the desk was awesome. She is very knowledgeable. Very helpful. She was so nice. Only had 1 tech working today. But he was very fast. Did awesome work. He stayed right on times with appointments. Make sure you have an appointment when you come. They are short staffed like the rest of the country right now. Excellent service - honest people. Went in highly discouraged after paying three separate shops to fix something, that had still kept recurring. Several Joe's there, and they are the ONLY group in town that took the time to get down to the root problem and actually FIX it! Mechanic Joe is now my favorite mechanic of all time. Pleasure to work with, jolly fella, HAPPY to help, and sociable crew. I reversed out of parking spot and glanced over to Joe, who was gleaming with a big smile while cupping his ear... listening to the sound of NO MORE SQUEAKING with a big ole smile on his face. Last summer had to go back THREE TIMES to get tires installed correctly--only to be told the third time that they couldn't balance the tires on my MINI. Remembering the long wait times last summer--fast forward to this summer--I waited 1.5 weeks for an 8 am appointment BUT THEY SCHEDULED a 7:30 AND an 8 AM appointment ahead of me! ONE and a HALF HOURS LATER, they still hadn't started on my car. "Oh, we only have one technician today"--then freaking schedule appointments accordingly! I have been going to this place for seven years and have never had an issue until last Wednesday July 7th. My wife's car went in for four new tires. A little bit after we got back on the road her sensor on her car for tire pressure went off saying the tire pressure was low. It turned out when we brought it to the dealership that the sensors had been broken during the last wheel install. Tire barn refused to take responsibility for it. I had purchased several tires there and never had a great experience, but not a bad experience either. That is, until they needed to replace a faulty tire within the parameters of the warranty. The tire had developed a knot near the tread. It seemed risky and dangerous to drive the tire as was, so I scheduled an appointment to have it replaced. The faulty tire was well within the mileage and years specified in the warranty, yet the Customer Service Rep would not answer a simple question: Why is this not covered by the warranty? He refused to answer the question...regardless of how many times it was posed and instead said, "Well, I guess we could create a roadside assistance claim." Fine...that knocked off a hundred bucks, but still cost $143 to replace. I contacted the corporate office and have heard nothing back--that was more than a week ago. Bottom line: Tire Barn does not stand by its products. I won't go there again...there are many other options. Finally, the previous year, I had to have a flat repaired. I made an appointment and took it in--they repaired the tire in question. When I returned home, I noticed that the metal valve caps that had been on all of the tires and been removed and replaced with cheap plastic caps. Maybe this was a mistake, maybe not...who knows. I never said anything, but certainly remembered it. Again...I won't go there again and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone unless you just don't need a company to stand by its product. read more

they weren't lying when they said they are the cheapest in the area. I did my research and called multiple places and no one was able to give me a better deal on tire maintenance work. I got my tires rotated here and balance for under $25 with the coupon online. They also do free alignment checked and are honest about it. For example, they checked mine and asked me about my driving habits and then told me I'm good for at least a year. I will definitely return here for all my tire work. This company is dishonest, they will provide you with a tire price when you make an appointment and then when the work is completed your invoice will have a higher tire price. Read on for details. Made appointment online that included the price of the tires and my selected installation option. Arrived at the appointment time, they asked for my keys and that was all, no mention of the tire price or installation option. Once they were finished I was presented with an invoice with a tire price almost $350 more and their top level installation option (when making the appointment online I selected basic install). I explained the price provided on the website when I made the appointment was lower and I had selected their basic installation option. The manager refused to give the price I was provided at the time I made the appointment but did change the installation to basic. No other option was provided and since the tires were already on the car what could I do but pay the increased price. I have contacted their corporate customer service and I am still waiting to hear back. read more

The only reason this is getting a two-star review is because the woman I spoke with on the phone was exceptionally professional and she was nice, however they advertised that they're a discount place.. no they are not. I've been a customer here since about the time they opened their doors in Knoxville, and have until recently been really happy with the service and value they provide. Lately, though (over the past couple of years), customer service has just been flushed right down the toilet. Can't blame COVID - it's been falling off since before that. This place feels like it's crumbling, and won't be in business much longer. If you're a valued Tire Barn customer, and you set an appointment here, understand that the time of your appointment means little. You'll be told something like, "It'll be at least an hour and a half or two hours..." It's REALLY dumb, and really bad, to tell a customer, "We've got you scheduled for 9am," and when that customer shows up, to tell them that something that should take maybe half an hour (rotate and balance tires) is maybe going to take two, three hours,... or who knows how long? I suggest being honest with your customers, Tire Barn. If you're setting an appointment for one of the people who takes the time to come to you to give you money for goods and services, let them know when they call to make that appointment that after they arrive, it might take you a couple of hours to get started on their car. Nothing wrong with that. Tire Barn customers, just know, if you set an appointment here, you'll be here for an indefinite, possibly long, period of time. Plan accordingly. read more

Went to the shop and unfortunately they did not have that tire in house or at surrounding warehouses so they offered to give me the two different Yokohama tires avid gt at no charge. They were very professional and understanding of the situation I did purchase the hazard insurance but they did not make me pay the 50$ fee for a new tire. Their prices may be a little higher than discount tires but they had excellent customer service and I will continue to come back there because service is what matters read more

I recommend was driving thru town, on my to Atlanta, when all of a sudden, My rear tires started bouncing. I knew something had happened and needed to take care of it asap. I pulled off at merchant's Dr. To find a tire spot. Firestone was what came up first but, they were closing soon and didn't want to help. So, I drove down the street and saw Tire Barn. I walked in and was greated by a really nice staff. It was 5:15 and most places closed at 530p in the area. I told them what was driving thru town on my way to Atlanta. Thinking it was the pot hole, I hit on the highway that made my tire out of balance. Turns out it was a brake caliper that had locked up on the drivers side rear, that was making it bounce. Being, that its a rear wheel drive. They ordered the part, yet the parts company's driver had left for the day. So, Franklin got in his car and went to pick it up for me. Wow, they really went all out for me. They all stayed later to help me out. What a blessing to have stopped in there. Otherwise I would have had to get a room for the night. I came into the store to have a my tires looked at. One needed to be replaced and came back the next day to replace it. After waiting 3.5 hours there, my car was finally ready. After I was driving home, I hear a rubbing noise and then the tire sensor light came on my dash. I called there and spoke to John and he told me to come back in to get it looked, which I did 2 days later, as I was not able right when it happened. Upon coming back to the shop 2 days later, they told me that I needed another tire which was surprising to me, but I said that was fine. After getting the new tire installed, the tire sensor light was still on and they told me it would take about 15 minutes to turn off. It never turned off. I called back and spoke to John and said I think there might be an issue with the tire sensor, he said he wished the guys checked it, which blew my mind, as you would think this is standard procedure when dealing with tire replacement. I said that I think they damaged it and he gave me a line about them not damaging it and that sensors go out all the time. That's one heck of a coincidence that it went out on the same tire they just replaced within 20 minutes of leaving the store. He made some excuses that due to my car's age, that this could have happened, etc. I wasn't going to keep wasting my time arguing with him, as he wasn't going to own up and accept that they damaged it. I had to go pay to get another one installed and was told by the other garage that I should go back and have them pay for this as, it was obviously damaged by them. There was no sensor, just the valve left. I explained to them that it wasn't worth my time and effort. Please think twice before going to this unprofessional, incompetent place and giving them your business. They've worked with me to understand what I needed and the differ Neva between different tires. The biggest thing is they've been so sweet to my kid when I've brought him in. I've been doing business with Tire Barn (as an Installer for my tires purchased at Tire Rack) for quite a few years. However, and with the most recent order and installation, Tire Barn (Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN) has completely disappointed me, and they've lost my confidence as a company that used to do honest work. Here's what happened. I ordered four (4) 235/50R-18 Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TA91 XL tires and they were delivered to Tire Barn on Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN. As the installation job went along, Jen (one of the front desk service reps) told me that I needed new TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) modules -- because of the age of the OEM TPMS modules (as she said, the batteries were old). I asked the price, and she quoted me $49.99 per tire, or $200.00. I didn't second-guess her suggestion and I told her to go ahead with the install of four (4) new TPMS modules. Well, after they were installed, my young daughter picked-up the vehicle and after she got home, advised me that the TPMS caution light was illuminated. So, I asked her to follow-up with Tire Barn on Kingston, Pike, and she did. But, the problem didn't get fixed. So, I took her car to Tire Barn on my day off and spoke with Jen to advise her that the TPMS modules were not working. She said to drive the vehicle to one of her service bays and one of the guys there attempted to fix the problem. Long story short, I've been back to Tire Barn FOUR (4) times to attempt to get Tire Barn to fix the problem. On one occasion, I reminded Jen that I had not second-guessed her recommendation to replace all four TPMS modules, nor the price of $200.00 or $220.00 with tax -- and they didn't work! To that (and this is kind of unbelievable, but she said it), Jen said, "I gave you the discounted $49.99 price per TPMS module!" No kidding, Jen! But they DO NOT WORK! She then departed the Good Deal approach and changed her logic to there must be something wrong with the car! Keep in mind that Jen advised me that all I needed was new TPMS modules (to a total of $220.00) and our TPMS problems would be over. Not quite so. In fact, the problem still exists. Tire Barn sold me a bill of goods and did NOT follow-up to fix the problem -- nor did they compensate me. This is failure to remedy an issue. This is quite dishonest and I don't appreciate being ripped-off for $220.00. I simply don't have $220.00 of money to WASTE on TPMS modules (or anything else for that matter) that doesn't work as-advertised. So, I really am not impressed with Tire Barn's new attitude of fleecing customers for money -- and then not making a remedy for a problem--AFTER THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY. Ridiculous. I'll copy and paste this review of Tire Barn's dishonest behavior until I receive a remedy to the solution. Ripping a customer off for $220.00 "because you can" is not how to retain customers. I had never heard of the Tire Barn until I need some work done. Somehow, I managed to get another nail in one of my tires and I needed to get it patched (I don't plug my tires)... I called around to a few of the big name places and found most of them plug their tires. One of my co-workers suggested the Tire Barn and a quick phone call there confirmed that they will actually patch a tire. Since it's not far from the office, I drove on over and the guy I spoke on the phone remembered me and took care of me right away. I sat down in their waiting area to read a book. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. They have lots of seating and a TV to watch. Other people were watching some idiotic reality show on TV, so I took advantage of their free Wifi to download a new book to read. I was there about 35-45 minutes. There were other people ahead of me and it was towards the end of the day, so I didn't expect to be in and out right away. When my car was ready, I was just asked to sign some paperwork.... no charge. I must have looked pretty shocked, because the guy said "Don't worry about it... just have a nice day!". When I got out to my car it was clean and in the same spot I had left it. Checked out my tire and everything looked good! I left very happy and an experience like that has earned Tire Barn a customer when I need tires in the future. read more

My opinion of Tire Barn is as follows... Do not do business with them! This is what I experienced... I was researching the best place to get an alignment and happily found a 5% off coupon that I could use if I would give Tire Barn the opportunity to match a competitors coupon (See attached pics). Also, they advertised a free alignment check... I was excited! I found a competitor's coupon for $20 off and I was told by the person at the counter that there normal price for a four wheel alignments was just $79. So I had the alignment checked. The assistant manager of the store was the one who checked my alignment there. He reported back to me that I needed an alignment. OK... I was gonna give him the go ahead to do the alignment but I wanted to be double sure and confirm what it said on their website first... that they would match my coupon plus the 5% first... so I asked the assistant manager if he took competitors coupons. He quickly responded NO! I responded back... that's not what it says on the internet. He said... what does it say? I said... it says you take competitor's coupons. He says... well what's the competitors coupon? (So all of a sudden a place that said on the internet that it would take competitors coupons has a manager that tells me in person at first that they would not take them is now saying they will take them?) Either the company or the manager OR BOTH need to get their story straight! I said $20 off. He responded well we have a coupon that's $20 off... we just give it to everybody, they don't even have to ask for it... they get it immediately... our normal price is $99. (This sounds like the manager is playing a "shell game" to me.) I said... well I asked the other person at the counterwhile U were checking the alignment how much a 4 wheel alighment normally was and they said that they were $79. Now you say it's not??? I said... I guess I won't get the alignment then since the story has changed and now your "normal price" is $99. The assistant manager simply said... "okay". It seemes to me like Tire Barns normal price changes based on when it needs to to make it easier for Tire Barn to match competitors coupon... Or not??? I dont know if they do or don't!!! Generally (overall) the whole thing seemed very much like a bait and switch / shell game scenario. Tire Barn advertises on the internet that they take competitor's coupons (plus an additional 5 pct. Discount) BUT THE FIRST THING THAT THE MANAGER (VERY QUICKLY) SAYS ABOUT IT WHEN YOU ASK ABOUT MATCHING COMPETITORS COUPONS IN PERSON IS NO? What's up with that? Not cool! There were a couple of other disturbing details that I am leaving out... But... as they say... "You get the drift". If I feel this weird about a simple potential alignment... I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would feel to purchase tires from here! UPDATE... IF YELP WOULD LET ME GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE 2 STARS... I WOULD!!! On (roughly 2/25/18) Talked to customer service at tire barn the next day (got phone number and name from prior "yelp" replies) and, if I remember correctly, the persons name was Kim. She a was a nice enough person and agreed that they should honor coupons however was not clear about if there was one on their website or not. Long story short, I was already at Sears waiting to get an alignment when I talked to Kim at Tire Barn. I told her so and I think she (at best) MIGHT BE ABLE TO honor the coupon (but still, this was a hassle for me now that was already at Sears). I told her that if the best option she was going to offer me was what should have happened BEFORE I WASTED ALL MY TIME (then I was not interested). She said if she was going to be able to offer me more, she would have to ask her manager. She did so, and the manager apparently decided that it would be best for me to just do business with Sears instead. That is the message that was delivered back to me by Kim. So I got my 4 wheels aligned at Sears Auto Center FOR LESS THEN THE TIRE BARN OR THE COMPETITORS COUPON PRICE (Thank you Groupon!!!)... THEN, within 24 hours, I get this (seemed to be sorta generic) message Yelp "Reply" post from a "Theresa G." at Tire Barn (see Tire Barn Yelp Reply below). This new post has the exact same phone number as Kim's and said pretty (almost verbatim) the exact same "fake sympathetic" thing as all of Tire Barn's Yelp replies. I called the number and got Kim's V-Mail. I informed her and told her I was confused. She called me back while I was on the other line and agreed to TO CALL ME BACK exactly 10 minutes later. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK AS SHE PROMISED TO & I HAVE BEEN WAITING ROUGHLY 20 DAYS AND COUNTING. This bad experience has led to my updated personal opinion about Tire Barn... I THINK TIRE BARN ONLY POSTS REPLIES ON YELP FOR DAMAGE CONTROL PURPOSES. THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR THEIR SATISFACTION... Average at best. I have purchased several sets of tires from tire barn. What kept me coming back was they would always discount the set I was buying from the remaining warranty on the set I was replacing. That and I could get a set of tires installed in a reasonable time frame. Also my wife and daughter could get in and out for rotations quickly. So on this last trip to replace my daughters tires I am met by some kid with the personality of a rock. He shows me his screen with tires available. I ask about a set or two and he says the Yokohama are on sale for $100 off a set of four. Total price was still the same as Michelins at the warehouse across the street. I ask for a discount, he says that's the best he can do. I turn to Dave the GM there and say help me out here Dave. Dave replies that's the tire I got and I paid so much more for them than you. I agree to get them because after all there customer service has been top notch in the past and I need a place for my wife and daughter to go that is easy for them to deal with. This was at 8:45 in the morning, I am in there with one other person. 1 1/2 hours later I tell them to forget about the alignment check I will just take the car as it is. I paid and left. They did not drive the car around to the front door like usual. I could get the same level of service across the street, get a superior tire, and not be lied to about price. On top of that because I did not come in with an appointment I was put behind people who had an appointment and came in after I did. Even with 4-5 kids working the bays it took way to long for what it was. Here is a hint for tire barn, you need to not forget about the people who walk in the door looking to spend money. If you are going to be an appointment based business then make it known up front. I could have easily made an appointment and brought the car back. We just purchased a new set of tires from this company (at a different location) and were travelling x-country. We had a problem with one of the sensors that were replaced and had to stop at this shop to get it fixed, It was late Friday and the manager went over and beyond to make sure that a new sensor was replaced first thing on Sat morning so we could continue our trip west. This manager exemplified exceptional customer service when he was also clearly very busy with his local customers. Kudos! read more

These guys are life savers. I have had a few tire issues recently (I commute pretty far to work and the highway has not been good to my tires). Last night I blew a tire and today I was able to go into Tire Barn, they had my tire in stock, they replaced it in about 30 min and I only had to pay $20 because of the tire warranty I had purchased last time.
