They had a pretty nice outdoor patio but it was too hot for that. We had a really nice server, young handsome guy. He was very attentive and replenished our chips periodically when they ran low. We stopped by the salsa bar and grabbed a plethora of different kinds. Unfortunately there were a couple that were "bad" or started to ferment. It was not a pleasant way to find out and I didn't want to point it out to the server because it may just be me. My husband did taste it and agree that it was like that but didn't want to make a big deal of it so we just ate the chips. I got carne asada because it was so good last time and hubby got some asada tacos. When my entree came, I noticed the rice looked to be either undercooked or possibly al dente because of the texture, you could see each grain and it wasn't soft and fluffy looking. When I went to take a spoonful it was actually cooked but could tell it was overly saturated in butter. I have never had Mexican style rice cooked this way and it was a bad representation of it. I understand if they want to be more Americanized or cater to a certain demographic but rice is simple and it tastes best made the authentic way, not with a bunch of butter. It was inedible for me and I just worked around the rest. The steak had a good char and had nice flavor, but was a bit dry. The tacos my husband ordered seemed a bit messy, and the meat was in large chunks rather than chopped in smaller pieces like how we've normally had steak tacos. Just didn't seem like there was a lot of effort put into the food made that night and we will most likely go back to the other location instead. Service was good, food and drinks were underwhelming.

I hate giving bad reviews, but this one deserves it…read more First, the okay (nothing was great): the beer was beer, the atmosphere was okay, the staff was nice, location was good The bad: Chips were stale, served in a small basket, tasted like off brand Tostitos and they were slow on bringing a new chip basket. Queso was congealed and lumpy, and after asking them to microwave it up to liquify it a bit, same issue when we got it back. Salsa was terrible (tried a bunch of them, nothing good) and the cups were too small to dip a chip in them. My wife got the beef nachos, that came cold and the beef was tasteless, not to mention the same issue with the cold queso on the nachos. I got a Milanese (might have messed up the spelling), which is breaded and fried beef with tortillas, salad, rice and beans. The beef wasn't good at all, the tortillas were okay, the rice didn't taste seasoned and the beans were watered down enough to the consistency of soup. To top it all off, this place was on the expensive side of Mexican food. If you're in Anderson looking for Mexican, just go up Hwy 81 to Papas and Beer.

The mango habanero was my favorite. Their horchata was absolutely amazing. I drank that and my refill so quickly. Not overly sweet but not lacking in flavor either. Perfectly balanced. The serving size for the ceviche was a lot! I couldn't even finish it (granted I did fill up on chips and salsa... lol). Nice balance to them A bit of a nice kick too, a nice sized shrimp chunks. I didn't try the cheese steak my coworker got but it looked and smelled amazing. Considering how fast they ate it, it must have been really good. Service was awesome and they had really good music playing the entire time. Highly recommend this place

Our server, Karen's attitude made it very obvious she did not want anyone in her section, and I may go as far to say she did not want to be working. We felt rushed from the start. Before we even had a moment to settle in and look she asked us if we were ready to order. My husband said "we'll start with waters with no ice and asked for some more time to look over the menu." When she came back with our waters (that had ice but no biggie) we asked the prices of the drinks because they aren't on the menu. Karen didn't know and didn't offer to find out, so we just ordered a margarita. I opted out by this point. I tasted my husband's and it was too sweet and full of margarita mixer. My son's hamburger came out and it unfortunately had cheese on it. We specifically requested no cheese and she was so annoyed by this. Face and audio expression made it very apparentIt's not the customers fault the waitress got the order wrong or the chef did. To add I got 2 street tacos and the carne asada was so greasy I took one bite and left the rest. So overall not a terrible experience by any means, but not great either. We felt rushed, food was mediocre, and the service was terrible.

Several of us ordered them custom made. Everyone enjoyed them. Well prepared. The chips were crispy. They brought a warm bean dip with was great. They also have a salsa bar in the back with quite a variety of salsas to fit any taste... the spicy pineapple salsa was tops on my list. We had beer, wine, margaritas... across the four of us. Everyone liked what they got. The wine menu is basic, they have a bar so whatever you want is available, they had a nice selection of beer appropriate for the Mexican theme. We will definitely be coming back. Oh, we got there at 5 and were the second table occupied in the place. By 5:30 the place was full. So, on a Friday night be aware that the place is popular.

As for the food, the fajitas come in numerous combinations that include old favorites like steak and chicken, but also include creative combos like steak/chicken/bacon, which is one of my favorites. The fajitas, which I have had several times are excellent and flavorful. Fajitas are my favorite section of the menu. The other parts of the menu are less consistent. The tacos are good but inconsistent and lack flavor. Everything feels authentic and tasty. Overall I really like this restaurant.
