OK... I CANNOT say enough praise about the Hartzell House Bed and Breakfast. This place is amazing!…read moreKitty and David are absolutely THE BEST hosts. My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! Anyway... if you are ever in the area (checking out Frank Lloyd Wright's work) you should definitely give this place a shot. They are phenomenal! Thank you David and Kitty! I hope we get to come back again soon. :)

The rooms are nice enough, clean, bit of a strange smell in the room, chocking up to the wood of the cabin, but nothing too overwhelming. Can't even load a website or watch 10 min of TV without having network error. Asked front desk n they reset router but nothing improved. It was also freezing--high of 11 degrees that night. The igloo had a heater, but it was still around 40 degrees inside, and we only lasted about an hour. There was live music, so we ended up leaving the igloo to go inside, but it honestly wasn't much warmer indoors either. By the end of the night, just my husband and I had spent over $100: $30 for the sangria tower, $12 for a small cheese pizza, $20 for hot chocolate, $25 for fondue, plus our $15 share of the igloo. Overall, it was something different to try, but not something I'd do again. Next time, we'd just come to hear the live music, spend $20 on the buffet (which we didn't even know was available), and have a few beers--cheaper, warmer, and way more comfortable
