I expected to wait a long time because they were busy as expected, but surprisingly they were able to see me right away as a walk-in for my gel polish color change. The nail tech did a good job. He did my cuticles and a quick lotion hand massage, which is not something I usually receive without doing a full manicure. I had a tender finger from a hang nail I pulled yesterday, and he treated it so carefully it may as well have been his own injury. I certainly appreciated that! The overall polish job was fine but there was a ton of gel polish spots left all over the edges of my nails. I have that problem when I do my nails at home. Since then I have been able to get all of those little pieces off. The style of the store is a little different compared to other salons I've been to, with the huge round table in the middle. The experience was not relaxing but did deliver good service at a fair price. My total cost came to $30. This is somewhere I would consider adding a pedicure to, next time!

A nice little coffee bar by the door. Lots of polishes to choose from. Trendy ambiance. Everyone was really friendly. Abigail was super great. She gave me exactly what I wanted. She's very artistic, detailed and friendly. The prices are on par with what you would find in the area. $55 or so for builder gel with a little bit of art. It's a family-run business and they are always very friendly, but they also know how to deal with long acrylics like mine that I keep between 1-2 inches in length. A lot of nail salons can't handle doing nails this length or if they do, they take forever doing it or do a poor job. Not here! I am in and out of there in 45 minutes for a fill-in, including nail polish, which is excellent considering I was recently at a salon in CA that took over 2 hrs and my nails were lifting within a week. I can go almost 3 weeks without a fill at LA Nails because they know how to maintain them and fill them properly. I'm about to move to the San Francisco bay area and am very sad that I can't bring my favorite nail salon with me. I will not only miss their talents, but they are such very nice people. Don't let the Flint address scare you... it's a really nice area, inside of a business park. We were greeted upon arrival, offered coffee/tea and walked through the "new client" paperwork. After completing our paperwork, we were promptly taken to the locker room, provided with our locker number and key, and shown the relaxation room (where we would wait once we were changed). The locker room was reasonably sized for the facility, and contained a vanity area, shower, toilets, sauna and lockers. The relaxation room was dark, had very comfortable furniture and a table with water and snacks. It was so cozy that I wasn't sure if I wanted my massage or just a blanket and a nap! As I previously mentioned, by husband and I had our massages (deep tissue) together in the Grand Suite, which is really just like tow massage rooms, end to end. My massage therapist was Julie. She did a great job walking me through what to expect from my first deep tissue massage. She also did a great job at adjusting pressure as I asked through out my massage. When our sessions were finished, our massage therapists walked us back to the relaxation room, offered us snacks, advised what we should/shouldn't do to get the most out of our treatments. Check out was painless, everyone was friendly and helpful and I can't wait to go back.
