This review is long overdue as I have been a client of The Pet Gal for almost two years now! I used…read moreto own a pet sitting and dog walking business of my own so this review is written by someone who used to be "in the biz!" Since moving to a regular 9-5 non-business owner, I wanted pet care for our dogs during the day. I also wanted in-home pet sitting and overnight care for our dogs so as not to disrupt their routine of having us in the home. I love, love, love Susan and Dan (the owners) and their entire scheduling staff as well as their "Pet Gals and Pet Guys". When our baby was due, Susan and the entire Pet Gal team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us plan for her arrival. There is nothing like feeling relieved that your home and pets will be well taken care of during one of the biggest life events. They really did go way above and beyond for us, adjusting to an ever changing situation as well as helping to make sure we had coverage in case something didn't go to plan. They even sent us a wonderful, thoughtful welcome home gift when we arrived home with our new human addition. I can't say enough good things about this company. Our favorite sitters are Jason and Claudia - my dogs LOVE them. They also leave the most wonderful updates and our home is always left better than when we left it. Pre-pandemic we counted on them to care for our pets during the day, and post-vaccine, they are able to care for them during travel time. The Pet Gal team members are all properly insured, trained, and you can trust them to show up, no matter what. You may not get the same sitter each time, but you will get the same care and attention each time. I am so thankful we're clients of The Pet Gal - they are truly a wonderful company.

Finally, one day when we were going to Target, my boyfriend suggested we first go look at the baby pigs. I was thrilled! When we walked in there, the first thing I noticed was the incredible stench of reptiles and tiny mammals (one star off for that). Whew! Once I got past that, I felt like a kid at the zoo. Each aquarium had an even more amazing animal than the one I'd just looked at: bearded dragons, veiled chameleons, exotic roaches (okay, that's just disgusting, and I'm glad they didn't come out to say hello), chinchillas, ferrets, and even just plain old mice. There were so many varieties of reptiles, I couldn't remember them all. They even had a Reticulated Python in its own closed off quarters that had large viewing windows. I don't think I'd ever seen a snake so large that close. Truly frightening. It will definitely give you the creepies. A gigantic tortoise also free-roamed the shop - he was fast, and he was chomping on all lettuce strewn about the floor. Oh, they didn't have any more baby pigs, but they offered to put us on the mailing list. We politely declined, but I just may have to go back and see if they're there next time.

This has been one of the worst experiences at a vet I've ever had!!…read more I had to take my cat to the ER because he was having some medical issues. They told me it was fine to wait till the next morning took him here. Waited 5 days to get our lab results but was promised 24-48hrs. The medicine was extremely overpriced so I put in an order on Chewy which the doctors at thrive told me they would approve same-day. It has now been over a week since the first visit and 3 days since we got our results and the doctors still have not approved of the medication's. This is currently how sick our cat is doing and how little they are prioritizing our cats health!! I would take him to another vet and get medication's but we've already spent all this money here and still have not received treatment. Do not recommend coming here if your animal is having any issue and need urgent care. The front desk man was absolutely useless!! I called several times today no answer until finally like the 5th time! I was trying to get his medication sent over and he just kept telling me don't know several times!? I've already paid for everything but still have no treatment! Save your money, time and you fur babies life and go some elsewhere else!!

If you love your pets, do NOT bring them to this location!!!…read moreI took my elderly dog to get her teeth cleaned and I knew some teeth would need to be extracted. I let them know that at her age I'd like to keep as many as possible and had been proactive on brushing them, giving her teeth supplement powder on her food and how I've seen improvement, but I'm aware some teeth were already rotten. The day I brought her in, I let the staff know that I took off work so if they had questions, I'd be ready to answer as she's old and I don't want her to be under anesthesia longer than she needed to be. Upon picking her up, her bill was beyond the already super high quote they told me not to worry about because it's factoring every possible situation. They billed me for four major extractions (that was understood) and then 8 minor level extractions!! They told me they removed those because of gingivitis, which is reversible specially if they had just cleaned them and allowed me to continue the treatment plan I was already seeing results with!! She use to have a cute little underbite. All of that is gone. She can't play tug o war like she used to. Those were minor extractions they should have called me about. This location did not care.
