I've seen two doctors at this clinic, (one who has become my family doctor) and have been very impressed by both. While it is sometimes difficult to get a receptionist on the phone, Summers Medical offers walk-in hours in addition to scheduled appointments.They even have Saturday hours! I had a regular doctor at another location and my last two visits there were not great ( I had appointments booked and ended up driving back home without seeing him . even one booked appointment I found out he was on vacation ). About a decade ago, I was injured at work and decided to stop in and see what they can do for me. I was introduced to Dr. Haroon Hamid. He took great lengths to listen and he genuinely cared about my well being. Since then , he became my personal doctor and has always been really professional and courteous. He is not one of those doctors that listens, grabs the prescription pad, makes a scribble and off you go. Thats just not him. Regardless of what others have said about the clinic and Dr Hamid , I have always found it to be the opposite. Staff are friendly and the wait times are not more than an hour ( if you do a walk in ). If you live close to this clinic and are looking for a good family doctor, this is the place I would recommend.

Upon visiting a physiotherapist after the two week period, they said I was past the most crucial point of recovery and now was just working on pain reduction. I don't trust my medical state with her at all and am looking to change. Driving down there to hear her tell me I'm alright when I feel terrible is such a waste of time. The front desk is also very unprofessional, as once I was late to a phone appointment and apologized (as it was my fault) and they told me "Dr. Akbar is very angry at you right now and this is your final warning, else we will charge you $50." I was talking to a lady randomly while I was in the government office (renewing my passport) a little bit ago and she mentioned that she went to this new clinic. Since there was no reviews and this nice lady spoke highly of this clinic I decided to check it out. I came in and I was suffering from a migraine for 2 days and I needed relief asap. The doctor was very thorough with the examination and gave me the prescription I needed. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I highly recommend this Clinic, the staff were professional and patient. I actually waited close to two hours because they also were booked solid with appointments who of course all took precedence over me, and I don't really hold that against them. The doctor himself took less than five minutes with me, I could barely understand anything he was saying, he gave me two prescriptions and left the room. Well, okay, so over to my local Shoppers where I discovered the medicine is not covered by insurance and a small bottle would be $130! Now, I'm used to my own doctor being well aware of what medications are covered and if he's not sure, he picks up the phone and quickly checks. I am appalled that a doctor would not know or not check. Maybe that's not reasonable, but I wasn't feeling very reasonable upon hearing that. I told her It states on the website that he is taking new patients for long term follow up. I was told by her that he's not taking any new patients . If you are looking for a pediatrician for long term - I was told he's not taking new patients at this time. However ,if your child has a fever -- or cough or cold they will take you in as a walk in. I am a very disappointed parent, who was reaching out for medical advice , only to be turned away.

Within a week we had an appointment scheduled here the following week. We saw Dr. Reyet who was HILARIOUS. Serious sense of humour that totally fit our style. I never thought I'd laugh so much at an eye surgeon's appointment. Free parking though the lot was packed by the time we left 2 hours later at 11am. Located 2 blocks south of Grey Nun's Hospital in the Landmark Professional Centre. Large waiting room with a teeny tiny kiddo corner (think where you can set a baby down and they can't crawl away). Everything was clean, bright, professional, and efficient - what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, an eye surgeon that makes you laugh! Two thumbs way up!

I…read morewas so scared when my other eye doctor found the high pressures in my left eye and immediately called Dr. Matt and they got me in for immediate eye surgery that day. I was so scared but everyone at the hospital made me feel comfortable and helped me with my closterphobia issue and having the mat over my face. Dr. Matt talking to his assistant really helped as well because I was able to concentrate on his voice and it eased my fears a bit better. It has been a few months now and things are going very well and I enjoy seeing this doctor even though we have to travel 30 mins. Its well worth it to see a doctor whose knows what they are doing.
