I've seen two doctors at this clinic, (one who has become my family doctor) and have been very impressed by both. I had a regular doctor at another location and my last two visits there were not great ( I had appointments booked and ended up driving back home without seeing him . even one booked appointment I found out he was on vacation ). About a decade ago, I was injured at work and decided to stop in and see what they can do for me. I was introduced to Dr. Haroon Hamid. He took great lengths to listen and he genuinely cared about my well being. Since then , he became my personal doctor and has always been really professional and courteous. He is not one of those doctors that listens, grabs the prescription pad, makes a scribble and off you go. Thats just not him. Regardless of what others have said about the clinic and Dr Hamid , I have always found it to be the opposite. Staff are friendly and the wait times are not more than an hour ( if you do a walk in ). If you live close to this clinic and are looking for a good family doctor, this is the place I would recommend.

Close by home, open and bright, fantastically friendly receptionist. So far, so good, but downhill from there. I actually waited close to two hours because they also were booked solid with appointments who of course all took precedence over me, and I don't really hold that against them. The doctor himself took less than five minutes with me, I could barely understand anything he was saying, he gave me two prescriptions and left the room. Well, okay, so over to my local Shoppers where I discovered the medicine is not covered by insurance and a small bottle would be $130! Now, I'm used to my own doctor being well aware of what medications are covered and if he's not sure, he picks up the phone and quickly checks. I am appalled that a doctor would not know or not check. Maybe that's not reasonable, but I wasn't feeling very reasonable upon hearing that. Fortunately, Shoppers has a prescribing pharmacist who spent as many minutes with me as that doctor did, and provided an alternative for $7.70.

I've always found it easy to get an appointment with my doctor, but when she has been unavailable, I've seen other doctors at the clinic (at least four) and been comfortable with them all. Since all my charts and files are kept at the clinic, whichever doctor I see has my history there, and my regular GP can access them next time I see her. The thing I love the most about this clinic is that it is also a walk in, and my doctor reserves a couple of walk in spots a day for her regular patients. When I have had need of walk in services, I've been able to call the clinic when it opens and often get a quick visit with my doctor. I hate going to the doctor, so if I like a clinic, it's worth sharing!
