We had travelled all the way to Wembley, just to eat dosas at Saravanaa Bhavan. And as usual, we…read moreover ate. The typical way to finish an Indian meal, especially if you have over eaten is a paan (betel leaves stuffed with various ingredients that act as a mouth freshener and a digestive) We were bemoaning the fact that fresh paan is almost impossible to find in London and suddenly in front of us, we saw Krishna paan. He only has Calcuttiya leaves (the betel leaves come in multiple varieties) but beggars can't be choosers. He has an assortment of paan masala like rajnigandha. A few of the standard fillings and we were able to get exactly the stuffing ingredients that each of us wanted. His rolling technique isn't very good. The fillings were leaking out, (so I couldn't take pictures) but the material was genuine and we were quite happy with the end product.

The Game Spot sells non-bootleg DVD's for £5. I'm not wholly against bootlegs. In fact when…read morerandom people come into shops trying to sell me their totally illicit film wares I'm generally always up for having a peek. There's a risk with the purchase though. Since I'm the most unlucky cookie on earth I tend to buy the bootleg DVD's that have been filmed in the movie theatre by some random person eating popcorn who decided that the best way to capture quality was to film the movie on his/her mobile phone. In these situations those bootlegs are complete rip-offs. If you don't want to face the agony of living through that possibility then come to Game Stop. They sell video games for all systems. Also, they trade your DVD's and games for store credit or cash, so if you want to get rid of that documentary on Little Richard's life story then this might be a good place to get that off your shoulders.

They are basically a much much much MUCH smaller version of blockbuster - videos (but generally DVD) rentals on a host of household film names. They also do the hugely more preferable deal on top of Blockbusters - £1.99 for a DVD per night. Compare to blockbuster - you rent out a film and, of course, will watch it once. So why have you spent £4.50 to rent it for three nights? How is that helpful? No sense?! That's why I love this shop. Their selection is massive considering the shop size and there is something to satisfy even the most ardent filmfan. Give it a visit! Free membership! Sign up now!
There is nothing as good then having a dvd shop around the corner where you can borrow your…read morefavourite movies! This is my ideal evening - cancelling everything and just having 'me' time. I am still someone from the dinosaur generation regarding my video recorder, but the selection of videos has expired and I more and more just start watching the dvd's on my laptop. Prime time has a good selection of movies, especially on the comedy side. The ones you just missed in the cinema. Their staffs normally have good recommendations. Prime is open until 12pm, therefore enough time to decide what your plans are that night. Part-time working for Prime Time I always find tempting, imagine sitting there all evening watching the most current movies... They also have the typical cinema supplies to sweeten up your evening with maltesers, coke, ice cream and op corn - relax! Also, if you have an emergency and your internet is not working - they have a well equipped internet coffee, where you pay by minutes. There are also print facilities (expensive). Having a member ship is worth it (you even can have more then one name on it) and is a good way to escape from London life!

It's the choice I like here. They have all the blockbusters, the Hollywood stuff starring Ben Stiller and Leo but they also have old movies, plenty of black and white, a few stands of thrillers and horrors, a good amount of shelves for world cinema, classics and TV box sets. The also have a stand for their staff recommendations - look out for Carlos' choices - he's got really eclectic taste and has some really interesting choices including, the other night, a half decent film with Katie Holmes in it - Pieces of April. Having said all this the only nights I entertain renting from here are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - for price reasons. Mid week it's 2 movies for 2 nights at £5 while other night it's £3.25 a night whatever the film. Rent on those 3 days though and it's a decent enough deal for a central London video club.

I worked at Tomorrow's World from 1997 to 1999, but I was a customer from 1989 to 2013! I used to work on a Friday Nights and it was heaving! Excitement on kids' faces when they got a game or a video/DVD. They'd then scramble for sweets and popcorn before rushing back to their parents car to get home quick! Adults would get just as excited as the kids - especially if they managed to bag a very new and popular release just as the little "OUT OF STOCK" tag was removed from the display cases - you know what I'm talking about! Hahaha! In my years working there, 99.9% of the time the customers and staff were all very happy with Tomorrow's World and what it offered to local community. £3.50 for a new release Overnight Rental is now an absolute SNIP in comparison to the £15.95 "Rental" for new release on iTunes and Amazon Prime etc. What an absolute shame that "Love Film (Now Amazon Prime)" and "Netflix" contributed to the demise of such an industry, only to massively inflate the costs on movies once the "competition" had been removed. I for one would love to see the re-emergence of such an industry, purely to be a part of the community and re-ignite that excitement of the EVENT of going to the Video Library. I would absolutely work for Tomorrow's World for FREE (the odd night here and there) to get this sadly forgotten industry going once again! Antony - Tomorrow's World Employee 1997-1999

Their diagnostic was that one of the processors had died and they were going to resolder a new processor to the logic board (if you know anything about micro soldering you will know this is a terrible idea). Fortunately the Genius Bar at my Apple store diagnostic told me that the processors were both fine, the problem occurred from sensors being removed from the logic board which are now missing. I won't even tell you how much the botched the screen repair. (Highlights include magnet lost so the machine doesn't sleep once closed, the mic and camera no longer work and the screen is wobbly. All probably because the new screen was fitted inside the old shell and badly glued back down.) Yes they were much cheaper than the mac store. But now I'm looking at huge repair costs to get my machine back up and running. They were very friendly, but I would never trust them with a machine again.

The rentals are slightly cheaper than the likes of Blockbuster; you can get a DVD/Game to ret for £3.50, or 2 for £5.
