We had travelled all the way to Wembley, just to eat dosas at Saravanaa Bhavan. And as usual, we over ate. The typical way to finish an Indian meal, especially if you have over eaten is a paan (betel leaves stuffed with various ingredients that act as a mouth freshener and a digestive)
We were bemoaning the fact that fresh paan is almost impossible to find in London and suddenly in front of us, we saw Krishna paan. He only has Calcuttiya leaves (the betel leaves come in multiple varieties) but beggars can't be choosers.
He has an assortment of paan masala like rajnigandha. A few of the standard fillings and we were able to get exactly the stuffing ingredients that each of us wanted.
His rolling technique isn't very good. The fillings were leaking out, (so I couldn't take pictures) but the material was genuine and we were quite happy with the end product. read more
