We've been loyal customers for over a decade, but our last several visits were alarming. We literally bring the same item for dry cleaning and every week, the owner changes his price. One week we paid $8, then the next week he charged $9 and finally, this past week he decided his price is now firm at $10. When I finally asked him if he has a set pricing list for various items, he stated he changes his pricing based on certain characteristics, such as if a pair of pants has lining. I encouraged him to post his minimum pricing per item at the very least, but he didn't seem very receptive to the idea. As the saying goes, shame on you if you fool me once, but shame on me if you fool me twice, so... hit me up if you have other nearby dry cleaners to recommend! read more

Been going to tip top for at least 15 years. My family and I always receive great service and many times need suits dry cleaned urgently. Tip top always comes through with getting them cleaned and ready for us in time! I take my comforters there throughout the year as well to get a good clean. Prices have slightly increased in the years but so has the price of food, gas, groceries etc. I always choose to support small businesses and as a business owner myself fully understand with time, a small increase in pricing is necessary to survive by covering business costs and employee salaries. Once upon a time there was a woman who attended a wedding where they wanted a picture of everyone jumping in the pool, so being the good friend and wedding-goer that she was, she gladly did...however she did this without thinking that the dress she was wearing was the dress she needed for an amazing fundraiser she was working for Ronald McDonald House the next week (check out Dusk at the Island). So anyway, she jumped in the pool, later dried out her dress and then promptly forgot that it needed to be dry cleaned until a day before the event. Then panic set in...she ran down to her dry cleaners (rhymes with Shona Cleaners) and they were quite unsympathetic. While they have same day dry cleaning you have to have the item in before 7 am and then they can get it back to you that evening. If you have it in at 10 am like the woman in the fairy tale did, it's tough luck, you get it back at 5 pm the next day (and she needed it by 1 p.m. to get to the fundraiser on time). So the woman took the dress and sat in her car, calling dry cleaners off a yelp search. The first place she called said they could have the dress back the next day by evening time :( The second place didn't pick up the phone. The third place said they could have it back by 3 p.m. The fourth place didn't pick up the phone. The woman was going to give up and then decided to call one more place...Tip Top Cleaners. A nice gentleman picked up the phone and said that if the woman brought in the dress in the next hour, he would have the dress done by noon the next day....yada yada yada, the woman got the dress, made it to the fundraiser on time and all the money raised for needy children made her live happily ever after. Thank you Tip Top Cleaners for being the hero of my story. I just picked up my other dry cleaning at (rhymes with Shona Cleaners) and decided that will be my last time. Very disappointed with the quality of work on the handmade crocheted blanket I took to this cleaner to have steam pressed (blocked). The edges were all wavy and almost looked like they had not done anything to it. Then, they charged me $30 for their poor quality!!! I knew I would probably be around $20 due to the size of the blanket, but never expected $30!! I will never go back to this cleaner for anything. They didn't even turn it inside out. I wanted it DRY CLEANED and they WASHED it. I didn't even know dry cleaners had washing machines so beware! This guy ruined my brand new hoody (stitching coming loose too!!) then this guy claims it's normal wear and tear. RIGHT! After 3 wears and a trip to this place it sure does look years old. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! They will not replace mistakes they make! See above with guy with the button and down below with the rude comment. Avoid avoid avoid!! There is zero reason I would take a hoody in this condition to a dry cleaner. It WAS brand new. Now it looks older than my 6 year old camo hoody. BEWARE! This place is awesome. Dry cleaning is very important to me because of my job. My shits need to be perfect for work. Being new to town, I dropped off some brand new shirts here to be laundered. The shirts were still in the packages and the owner took the time to assist me in removing all of the pins and packaging so that they could be laundered. That took awhile and it was definitely above and beyond. When I came back to pick up the shirts, I brought in some pants to be hemmed. Omar helped me with the measuring and marking and he was extremely polite and very gracious. When I went to pay for the cleaning, the bill was very low and I only had my credit card. They explained that they do not like to sue a card for anything under $20.00. Instead of asking me to go get cash from a machine, they told me I could just pay for everything the next time I return. WOW!! Does anyone give excellent customer service like that anymore? I was duly impressed. I now have an official dry cleaner for my new address in Orange County. After trying many other over priced dry cleaners in the neighborhood, I came across Tip Top Cleaners one Saturday afternoon when I went to Tio Chava's (the restaurant next door) for lunch. They have great deals for new customers so I quickly decided to bring a few blouses that needed cleaning/ironing to try'em out. The quality and the service was great, which made me a regular. I went to the business to have alterations done for two designer dresses that I needed for work. I explained in detail exactly what I needed just as I had done with every dress that I had had altered the same way for the past year and a half with various tailors. After paying for the alterations and taking the dresses home, I realized that they had not been altered correctly. So I went back to the business to ask them to please fix the mistakes. I was told that I was asking for impossible alterations. I was told that I had not told him correctly the first time, and I was told that I was not going to get the result I was looking for. The man was yelling at me and waving his hands in my face. At that time I asked for a refund for the alterations because I was being told he could not fix them, and he was being extremely aggressive. We have been using Tip Top Cleaners for about 25 years. My wife actually selected them. She picked the place because they go the extra step to make the clothes look like they were professionally cleaned. They put tissue type paper in the sleeves of jackets, sweaters look like they just came from Nordstrom, and shorts are pined to the hanger. I like doing business with family owned businesses. The owner is there almost every morning, he is very pleasant, and I have complete confidence in how he runs the business. I stopped taking the receipt for what I dropped off years ago. There has never been a problem. I just ask when will they we done or, if I have a special need, tell him when I need them back. We have used his tailoring services. The workmanship is good and the price is right. I went through a back operation and a broken leg. As soon as he saw me drive up, he was out there to take the dirty clothes and insisted that he put the clean clothes in the car. He actually cares about his customers. A just moved into the area and stopped in asked them what they charge for laundry shirts and dry cleaning. He told me $1.50 for shirts and $4.00 for dry cleaning. That is about what I was paying in Laguna Niguel, so I said fine. As a new customer he said that he would give me a discount on top of that. I brought him 12 shirts for laundry and 7 shirts and pants for dry cleaning. Without a discount the total should have come to $46. He charged me $64. When I questioned him about it he said that only the dress shirts were $1.50 and the other laundered shirts were $3.00 and some of the dry cleaning was $7 . Plus no mention of the discount he promised me. Needless to say I will either find another dry cleaner in the area or I will just go back to Laguna Niguel read more
