I like this place. I've been coming on and off for about 6 months now. I used to get dip on my natural nails with Cindy and she was my favorite for the longest. When I went to get dip but with a fake nail extension in a coffin shape she really really didn't shape them well since the beginning I saw how slanted in she cut the fake nails I was horrified and immediately told her I didn't like the shape she said "I'll fix it" yet continued to do it until I told her again later. After a while of coming here, I had Kenny as my tech. Now this dude is amazing!!! He does ombré nails soo well and definitely knows how to shape nails. I started not to like coffin ever since I got them shaped wrong and Kenny understood exactly what I meant when I told him I wanted a "skinny square" shape. He does everything I ask for and is so soft spoken. I will say that the prices keep increasing. Full sets are usually $35 for either dip or gel but I was charged $40. Previously, I came in for a pedicure (regularly $25) +$10 gel polish add on I was charged $40 again. I'm not sure if they're just adding on their own tip to the bill but it's definitely something I've been noticing. read more

stay away from this place!!! they were rude and pushy! i went in for a pedicure and they wanted me to pay higher for oils, lotions and massage; I told them that I wanted the normal pedicure I get everywhere else for the $27 and they got mad and this is what I got!! I wasn't in the chair even 5 minutes and they were ready to paint my toes! they did nothing! wet my feet cut my nails crooked, dried my feet and started painting! they said this is basic pedicure! Well they were gonna charge me $130 for a simple ombré 2 color with French tip and I picked another nail set and it was $60 for just one set and a lady named katelyn sat me down drilled my nails then went did someone's else's wax and took 15 minutes and I can tell she was new because she had to ask the person next to her to check it she did my nails so bad they're thick and have bumps on them read more

A big NO from me!! I recently came here because it was the closest nail salon near me. I went in to get my nails removed and get gel afterwards, trying to keep my natural nails too. So I didn't get the ladies name that did this horrible job but anyways, I told her I wanted MY natural nails for the gel part cause they were already long. She proceeded to take my nails off with ANOTHER PLASTIC NAIL very carelessly, to the point where she literally made me bleed. I was like dam girl!! Give my nails some loooove!! Haha I pointed it out to her and she said she'll fix it with the dip in powder. I was pretty upset at that moment, I should've just left!!! After she was done with the right hand, the girl she was previously with came and told her her nails were jacked up so she had to fix her nails now. I proceeded to take my own damn nails off from my left hand cause this girl could careless about my natural nails! I paid for a stupid manicure too, dumbest decision. My nails were chipped and started to break the next day. Long story short, I knew I was going to a risky place being in the hood but just didn't feel like driving to Arlington parks mall where I always get my nails done. Never again. First time in a actual nail shop in 3 years I usually have someone who travels to me! So I've been spoiled by that but when she can't get me in I go to this nail shop to get something quick and simple done outside of my pedicures every two weeks, my Nails Never last longer than 1 and A half at most before lifting. My pedicures are Okay I've had better but due to my location this is the most decent nail shop around me. So I just settle. I wouldn't recommend them on special occasion nails EVER but they get the job done for the moment. read more

So I normally go to another place but I wanted to take my mom to go get a mani pedi that was closer to her . She suggested this one and overall the experience was really nice. I originally was only going to give my mom and I a mani/pedi. But then I decided to also get my little sister a gel manicure they quickly accommodated us and were able to give us service within 5 minutes of arriving with no appointment. My mom absolutely loved her manicure especially her pedicure and her pedicurist was amazing made her feel like a queen. I had a good experience overall there was only one particular thing that really upset me. The color I had originally chose for my gel manicure was not the right color . I initially wanted a deep burgundy but when she started to cure the nails the color was way off it was more of a crimson red than a deep burgundy. I wanted to even skip the pedicure because I was so upset. In came Kevin I believe he was the floor manager there or something and he immediately wanted to help resolve the issue and try to offer me whatever I can to make me leave happy . I ended up getting the pedicure and I did enjoy every second. If it wasn't for Kevin I may have walked out unsatisfied myself. My manicurist was very kind she try to make me happy and even offered to do the gel manicure again to choose a different color. Even though there was that small inconvenience the overall experience at Tip 2 Toe was a really good experience I highly recommend you go especially when you're wanting to go get a manicure with no appointment. read more

On my second visit the nail technician did a terrible job. I asked for decorations and she tried to talk me out if it. I advised her that I really wanted those small little crystal like rhinestones on a few of my nails. She huffed and puffed but she put them in for me. She slathered some glue on and then placed them completely crooked and had me put my nails under the gel light. When the light went off the glue was still sticky and caused the shine to smear and put visible dents in the nails. I tried to put them back under the light but she shouted "NO" just go wash your hands with just water. So I did. It made ripples in the glue and it was still sticky. She then put oil on it and told me it's not sticky anymore. I felt humiliated because the way she yelled at me and completely dismissed everything that I had to say. Immediately after my visit I went to the grocery store and three of the crystals had already fallen off. I have only been here twice but each time I spent over $140 and this is how I am being treated. I have never been treated so poorly and talked down to at a nail salon. If you want to feel like you are not important and then this place is for you. This is by far the worst set of nails I have ever had. read more
