    Let me in!

The service and food is consistently top notch with generous delicious portions. My go to Los Barriles dinning and social option.

Pacifico is the next best lager to Tecati in my opinion.

This is our last day after a week in Los Barriles, and we wanted to end with a fried chicken dinner (we had not found chicken anywhere else during the week). On balance, the fried chicken was very good, considering it was over-battered and slightly overcooked. This is not a complaint, the meal was delicious. The portions were huge! (2 legs, 2 thighs, 1 breast, for 180 pesos - $9.00 US), is s great price. With a baked potato, onion rings, coleslaw, 2 gin'n'tonics, and 2 beers... the whole meal was only $25.00 for 2 people! The best part was, it satisfied that desire for southern fried-chicken, American style!

Came here because I read that they have several vegan options ! Which they do ! And my husband wanted a pepperoni pizza. Win, win for both of us. I went with the beyond burger and fries. Just make sure to ask for no cheese because the cheese is not vegan cheese. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the burger was delicious. I've been in Mexico for a month so it was nice to have a vegan burger... I'm taco'd out at this point. My husband enjoyed his large pizza. And even has a few slices left over for tomorrow. He said it was better than other places he's tried. I also ordered a House margarita which was delicious as they've all been in Mexico. And my husband ordered a beer. Both decently priced. The service was excellent and they even mentioned the pizza would take at least 20 min, which we were fine with. It actually took a little longer than that, so they gave us the chips, pico and guac on the house. We were starving so we really appreciated that while waiting. The atmosphere was beautiful and we really enjoyed this place. Would totally come again.

The best pizza in the east cape. Lots of different toppings -- this is doughy with a crisp crust California style pizza. Cool pirate themed decorations with American and Mexican food. Order the beers by the bucket. They brought a free ice cream Sunday to a buddy who was celebrating his bday and sang to him as well. Lucky Tip: the belt buster is no longer on the menu but the have a small and large porterhouse steak that is amazing. Step up if you dare. It's largely a covered patio restaurant. They have a bar and TV's but sit out on the patio and enjoy a great meal with friends. Party of 8 beer drinkers and steaks averaged about 30 dollars a person.

Thank god my father still can't taste from Covid 6 months ago because he would be even more upset than me

The service was great. And the beer was cold. But there pizza lacks horribly this is hands down the worst pizza I have ever had and that's saying a lot in my opinion. So long story short they need a new cook. Because who ever is back there never learned. I will not be coming back ever.

    Lots of americans dine here

The food was at best mediocre. Batter fish was mushy. Shrimp in another dish was undercooked. All over priced. Service was slow.

You could easily miss it if you blink. ;) The three of us sat down at a table in the middle of the establishment. They had the fans going, but because they use a wood burning fire, it is very smokey and you will end up smelling like a barbecue. As long as you don't mind that, the food was really good. We started off with the camaron ceviche (shrimp/prawn). It was priced at $7.50 usd which I thought was a bit on the pricer side for mexico, but it was huge and easily enough for 3 people as an appetizer. The chips here are store bought, not homemade, but I didn't come here for the chips. Next up was the entree. I ordered camaron imperales ($14) - huge prawns with cheese wrapped in bacon. They were really good a little bit too much cheese for me, but still tasty. They boys split the Pirata Combination ($16) which was one camaron imperales, one coconut shrimp topped with banana, one seabass, one piece of octopus served with a potato on top of a salad. They boys loved the combo! They have a variety of soda, beer and wine. I stuck with a homemade lemonade which was made with sparkling water. Service was great, street parking was easy. For the quality of food, the prices are reasonable.

I have to say, Smokey's stands out as an American bar-restaurant in an otherwise Mexican resort town. Their Shrimp Linguini Alfredo rivals any we've had in the US. And their Pescado Vericruzano (Yellowtail Veracruz) is superb. Both are top examples of what you would expect from a seafood region, such as San Francisco or New Orleans. Smokey's is probably the hottest club atmosphere in town also - a mix of stylish singles, sport fishermen, and American ex-patriot retirees, all becoming friends over the topic of food, drink and sports playing on 3-4 big-screen TVs. Attire is what-ever's-comfortable. And the parking lot is SUVs and 4-wheel ATVs, side by side. And I must say, our waitress, Gloria, was glorious! A couple locals on guitars and bongos play for tips - regulars, obviously known to everyone. After a week of Mexican cuisine elsewhere (tacos, enchiladas, and endless guacamole), it's really refreshing to find a more American diversion. The only thing missing are steak entrees, Smoky's is clearly a seafood restaurant and bar!
