I gladly drive all the way from Palo Alto to Milpitas Children's Dentistry because the care my son…read morereceives here is absolutely worth it! We originally came for a second opinion after another provider recommended removing my son's chipped/broken teeth when he was only 2 years old. I was devastated. Dr. Richard recommended leaving them alone unless they caused pain, and with routine checkups and cleanings, my son was able to keep his teeth for almost TWO more years! Recently, a small hole developed in one tooth and we ultimately decided to have it removed. I was honestly more nervous than my son after reading horror stories online. The staff reassured me it would be quick and easy--and they were right! Laughing gas, numbing gel, a few injections, and before I knew it, Dr. Richard was already wiggling the tooth out. Meanwhile, my son was doing his little "wiggle dance" throughout the appointment! They are always welcoming, patient, supportive, and never make me feel pressured into treatment. Hands down, the best experience a mom could ask for when it comes to her child's dental care. The drive from Palo Alto is absolutely worth the peace of mind knowing my little guy is in great hands!

Honest Experience…read more We've been coming here for some time now, and unfortunately, I've noticed that the doctor's attention to detail and thoroughness just aren't where I'd expect them to be, especially when it comes to my children's dental care. For example, the doctor frequently reminds my kids about the importance of brushing their teeth, but during their own cleaning, I noticed that their teeth were brushed for maybe 5-10 seconds. That really concerned me because I expect a professional cleaning to be much more thorough than what we experienced. The office itself is very welcoming and kid-friendly, which is one of the reasons I continued coming back. (Which is why I gave a couple stars) However, at this point, I would rather take my children somewhere that prioritizes a more detailed and thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and based on our experience, I've also shared my concerns with family and friends. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their level of care.

Scheduling routine dental cleanings has always been easy and convenient. We decided to keep both children with the practice for orthodontics as well, thinking it would simplify appointments. However, we weren't aware that the orthodontist has limited office days and hours, which has made rescheduling appointments more challenging than expected. Had we known this upfront, we may have considered other options. That said, Dr. Wong has been wonderful and we're very happy with the care he provides. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. The only concern we've had is that the orthodontic assistant who sees my daughter has made her feel somewhat uncomfortable during the last few visits, possibly due to frustration over recurring broken brackets. Overall, we've had a good experience, and Dr. Wong has been a big reason why we've continued our orthodontic care here.

My oldest daughter comes here for orthodontics as well as for her dentist and her braces plan is progressing well. My son comes here for dentist only for now and has seen Dr. Reham. She is amazing. Super skilled at what she does and super gentle with the kids. You definitely feel like you can trust her. My son had cavities that had to be filled, with laughing gas and it went very well. Finally, my youngest daughter had the most dental work done here after she experienced cavities and tooth decay due to drinking milk in bed as a baby and not brushing afterwards. She had to do the repair under general anesthesia at 3, which is super nerve-wrecking as a parent but under the care of Dr Nancy it went very well. We appreciate that everything is super kid friendly, from the coin kids get to retrieve a prize at the end of each visit, the tee shirt and picture with the dentist they get on their first visit, etc. We will keep coming here and also a special shoutout to all the dental assistants! We appreciate you.

I thought that was strange, my 8 yrs old never had cavity always have his regular check ups and last xray was done at previous dental office 6 months ago. Now coming to this new dental office, he didn't start with seeing the dentist to see maybe there is something questionable that needed xray to confirm but ordered xray to be done by the door as if it was getting a temperature?! Of course I denied it and was asked to sign a no xray waiver. I can't help questioning this clinic protocol on pediatric radiation protection, and I will speak to the floor manager over this issue.

After being told I needed seven fillings, I specifically asked about the cost. I was told 'not to worry' and that insurance covers partial for white fillings. And I just need to pay my portion $579 After already paying $579 out of pocket, I returned for a cleaning only to be told I owed an additional $620.50. When I questioned this, the staff blamed it on the fact that they never sent a pre-authorization to my insurance because it was the 'end of the year.' Now, I am looking at a total of nearly $1,200 out of pocket for basic dental work even with insurance. If thats how much i have to pay then how much was the total pre insurance? Every visit feels like there is a new 'hidden fee..' the bait and switch. I don't mind paying my fair share, but the lack of honesty and the poor administrative practices here are unacceptable

After the surgery, I was horrified to see that no one bothered to clean the blood from my daughter's mouth--her mouth was left full of blood. This is basic care and should never be ignored, especially when treating a child. This experience was distressing, careless, and completely unacceptable. The excessive waiting time, lack of professionalism, and poor post-surgery care show a serious lack of respect for patients and families. I strongly do not recommend this place. If anyone considers going there, do not assume they will do what they say--double-check everything, because we deeply regret trusting them.

Each visit, I was paired with someone different. While everyone was professional, the small talk often felt routine and repetitive, especially since I only come in twice a year for cleanings. However, one hygienist truly stood out--Jona. From the beginning, she remembered both personal details about my life and specific information about my dental history from previous visits. Appointments with her feel less like a standard cleaning and more like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen in a while, but can easily pick up right where you left off. Her attention to detail and genuine care are the main reasons I continue coming back, even though the office is out of network with my insurance. That alone says a lot.
