    Chewy, chewy, chewy...

I wish that I could write a good review, but I need to be honest in hopes that the place of business might choose to learn from their mistakes and make improvements. First I'd like to mention that I'm very familiar with Thai food. Over the course of several years, I've probably eaten Thai food at least 80 times. I'm also very familiar with the dish which I ate for dinner tonight at Tiny Thai Place - Drunken Noodle (aka Pad Kee Mao). At first site the meal looked great. But my first bite of noodles was chewy. In fact, every single bite of noodles was chewy due to lack of being fully cooked. The beef also wasn't very tender (perhaps a cheap cut of meat). I'm going to stop there, even though 2 more improvements can be made to the dish. Granted, the lovely waitress did however mention that the kitchen was short staffed. (Perhaps the primary chef was absent, and a less experienced kitchen staff had to fill in for them. That's the only explanation that I can compose, due to the overall high review that they have.) The hostess and waitress were great, and if I were to rate their professionalism, I would give them 5 out of 5 stars.

a tray of food and a container of food

The food is good , but wayyy to expensive. Sorry. $54 for 2 sushi dish's, and dumplings is insane for Monticello.

    Wtf is thissssssss!

If you know good Thai food this isn't the place for you, just wasted about 30 bucks on a plate of Pad Thai and the Green Curry. Looking at it I was disappointed, after tasting the pad Thai I threw it all out. I come from CA where the Thai is Thai. 30.00 is not much out of my pocket but Never again.

Kids chicken fried rice! So yummy!

This is the best place to eat in Monticello. I just moved here from a much bigger town and this was better than anything there as well!!! It's a small restaurant with ONE authentic chef! So be patient it is worth the wait! We waited about 40 mins for our food and everything was amazing, fresh, and of course it is all made to order. My young daughters got chicken fried rice and I had sweet and sour chicken! It was delicious!! The sauce was great and the chicken was juicy with some crunch to the outside!! The basic entrées were only $8.50 each! Not bad!! I will be going back and I can't wait!!! -AP

The owner is the chef, the only one cooking and this is good, because everything is cooked to order. I did not wait long at all, maybe 20 mins with 3 orders ahead of me. I had the "Green Curry w/beef", it was delicious, all the flavors came together nicely and the sauce had a smooth consistency (perfect for the rice). I left satisfied and full. The menu is not big but like I said, only one chef and what he cooks is done well.

Jewel in the rough. Had the potstickers and the Ahi sushi. Well prepared. Food prep a tad slow, but no complaints

It was late and we just wanted some Asian foods the last minute so we ordered a lot. We got: - Calamari tempura: Crispy, but a little too chewy and batter to somehow taste like onion. But still good with the spicy mayo. - Spicy Tuna: got as accommodation and surprisingly the best of the night. The perfect combination, crispy fried wonton, spicy tuna, avocado and sliced onion. So gooood. - Tom Kha: I usually would order Tom Yum but that night I was craving something creamy, so I got Tom Kha with seafoods. They loaded that thing up with a lot of meats. Wr did ordered Thai Spicy level but it is basically just level 1 to us, we didn't send back because it was late and we don't want to bother them. If you could it spicy go ahead and try Thai spicy level. - Beef Panang: They again loaded that thing up with a lot of beef. Flavor and creamy. You also can try Thai hot with this one. - Spicy Kani Rolls: Come with 8 pieces (but my husband ate 2 lol). A decent sushi rolls, good that we tried. Everything was good, the owner and staff were super nice and friendly. They also have a lot more of different varieties, definitely comeback and try more.

I also wanted to try the mango with sticky rice, but they did not have it available. It is likely a seasonal item. However, I will not be returning to this restaurant. When I arrived to pick up my food, I discovered they add a mandatory 15% automatic gratuity to all takeout orders. This unexpected fee was not made clear upfront. While the food is decent, forcing a tip on a carryout order without prior warning is a policy I cannot support.
