Was passing through Dumas around lunchtime so I thought I would give Big Boy's a try. It was about 12:30pm and there was only one other customer besides me. We placed a last minute large order and they accommodated us and had all the food ready the very next day and the food is delicious. The location is small and has a few tables that makes a good lunch and dinner spot. The service is very friendly and I'll eat here every time I come to town. Big boys! The special was a sandwich side and drink for $7 but the smell seduced me. I caved and got the big boy. The sampler of samplers. Pork, brisket, ribs, bbq beans, fried okra, and a drink! Stopped at this wonderful little spot on our way through SE Arkansas, headed for the beach. The first thing to hit me walking through the door is the wonderful aroma of smoked meats. Reminded me of my daddy's bbq place when I was little. The ribs were outstanding - the meat falling off the bones, but still moist and tender. The portions were generous without being wasteful; the sides were all fresh and tasty. Their sauce was a perfect balance of vinegar tartness and sweetness. The lovely people running the place were gracious and kind, checked on us and made our lunch even better with their southern friendliness. Definitely will return!! read more

Almost hidden from view on Hwy 65 N beside Days Inn, but look for it if you want some great barbecue! Nice people and good food. We were the first customers of the day so the Homemade potato salad was still warm from boiling the potatoes and had so much flavor (just like I like it!) Hole in the wall excellent BBQ. Read the reviews and decided to take a chance on New Year's Eve for lunch. It took a little longer than normal because they were short staffed, but the food was worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and even brought me out an extra rib to munch on while I waited. We got the rib platter and a brisket sandwich. The ribs were smoky tender and delicious. The brisket sandwich was very moist and tasty. My wife doesn't usually like brisket but she ate the whole sandwich. Said it was the best brisket she'd ever eaten. Fair prices for good size servings. We were passing through and saw this BBQ joint on yelp. Glad we stopped. We had the pork sandwich, beef sandwich, and a side of sausage. The meat melts in your mouth. We wanted a quick lunch on the way to Little Rock. Saw Big Boys BBQ House on Yelp, and decided to stopped by. Nothing fancy, it's just a small restaurant right on Hwy 65. We ordered lunch special that came with a small pulled pork sandwich (with Coleslaw), a side, and a drink. The sandwich was wonderful, juicy, smoky and just the right size. As for sides, we ordered potato salad and fried okra. Fried okra was okay but the potato salad was so so. The lady at the restaurant was super nice !!! read more

We stopped in on our way to Little Rock from New Orleans. This place wasn't pretty, but as we parked our car we saw "Big Boy" cooking up some ribs on the big smoker. He came over and introduced himself. What a friendly guy! Pecan wood smoke filled the air! We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a smoked brisket sandwich both with coleslaw on it. It was amazing! The meat was so tender it melted in our mouths. The BBQ sauce was spiced just right. Our only regret is that we didn't order the jumbo sandwich! What a diamond in the rough! read more
