Absolutely have the best cuts of meat and aged so well. Are complaint is the cooking process. On Our night of service, our $120 steak cooked to mid-rare temp, the cooking process obviously provided a great sear on the first side sear in the iron pan. But once they flip it without finding the hotspot, to another searing hot area, Our steak then only gets steamed from the bottom. Crispy presentation side but beef stew brim watery bottom side. So a lack of care for the quality of meats and poor trading and quality control to send out steamed/stewey cuts on the bottom side. We may be back, but will ensure to tell the team there to sear both sides before plating read more

Food was great. Service was amazing. We had a large party and the staff didn't miss a beat.

Best Steak I've ever had was at Taylor's. Service was great also. Price was a little more than we usually spend but, as they say: You get what you pay for. read more

Unbelievable steak, seared butter type taste. I shared the porterhouse with my wife it was plant of food with the two sides and two salads. Service was great and the food came out fast. It is definitely in the middle of nowhere but it's a fun adventure getting there. It is very pricey but it's worth it. read more

Great food and service. Amazing steaks. The prices are not low but you get enough for two meals. The creamed spinach was my only negative. A little too much cream. We will be back for sure. read more

I really don't understand all the hype on this restaurant . It is not worth the 1abd a half drive from little rock . We drove 176 mi round trip in a hellish thunderstorm to try this touted restaurant . You have to make reservations . We were celebrating so we thought why not? Well why do people recommend thia place? Our so called dry aged 66 day old steak $79.00 was not butter tender but a bit chewy and lacked seasoning . If it had not been for the au jus i could not have eaten it . The waitress was not very attentive and when our glasses needed filling we had to wave her over and flys were every where . One even committed suicide in my Au Jus when i was half way through we had to ask for a plate to transfer my food and no offer of remake was offered . The potato was baked golden delicious but not very hot . The atmosphere was dirty the ambiance was common and loud babies were abundant . It's not romantic or lending to a quiet peaceful space for dining . Our reservation was for 7:30 we arrived at 7 seated at 7:15 and the waitress returned to take our order at 7:45 . Our steak was brought at 8:30 and we left at 9:15 . Did i mention there is no comfortably tepid spot to sit anywhere you sit . you have frigid air blasting your food and you the entire meal . my husband had to go to the car for a blanket it was so unpleasant . I really wanted this to be a nice night with my husband but I'm disappointed and feel disgusted by the flues and feel cheated it came so highly recommended and the steak was no where near the quality to quantify the price they charge . I would recommend Mikes place for flavor in Conway a better flavor and a better price . Sorry this is negative but when a fly literally dive bombs and dies in your food and you hear it scream it's hard to have anything nice to say . $$$avg $100.00 per plate read more

Having moved to AR just a few months ago, Wifey & I were looking for a steakhouse to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary at. Steakhouses in our area had Yelp ratings that were all over the board -- including one that was just *ridiculously* overpriced -- so we picked up on a Yelp recommendation someone made to "Taylor's down in Dumas" and went with that. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: As others note, Taylor's really is in the middle of nowhere. Located in a former grocery store building, which was smaller than I was imagining. Not a "pinkie extended" atmosphere, but nice Parking is very informal; just pull up somewhere on the grass UPSIDES: We both had the wet-aged filet, medium rare, EXCELLENT The "chips with famous cheese dip" were also very good, but next time I'll try not to fill up on them Freshly-baked bread loaf provided YUMMM Excellent wait service from "Shauna" DOWNSIDES: Everything priced a la carte, but that's pretty much the steakhouse model It was a 1.5 hour drive each way for us, but (upside) we'll be back for special occasions NET-NET: Not an inexpensive meal, but still priced within reason. You're not paying extra for the "wood-paneled room" ambiance of other steakhouses. 4/5 stars, only due to the long drive. Otherwise, 5 stars! read more

Let me start by saying that I'm a real steak snob. I won't order steaks most places because I can cook them better. So, when I say Taylor Steakhouse has an excellent steak, don't take it lightly. I had heard of this restaurant on some food blogs here is Arkansas. Reading so much about it, I finally had a chance to stop in on our way to Gulf Shores. It was totally worth the stop. They took reservations which is almost worth five starts right there. I hate waiting for a table. The service was awesome and the steaks were killer. The sides were excellent as well. I'd definitely go back, I might make a 4 hour round trip just to go. read more

Wow!!! Take the drive! Plan ahead! You don't want to miss the chance to try this amazing dry aged steak! Make a reservation!!!

We finally make the trip from Little Rock to Dumas to try this legend. WORTH THE TRIP! In the middle of nowhere and no atmosphere. Ordered all the appetizers. Table said duck was the best. Ordered the dry aged bone in rib-eye. Probably the best steak we've ever had! Split with wife. Side was Cajun rice. Too salty. Service was excellent. Place was expensive but we will be back. read more

If you have read other reviews you know others like it as well. This is the best steak in Arkansas, so if you get a chance stop here at eat! Everything from the appetizers, steaks, sides and desserts are incredible. The nicest people own this and live what they do. They even have a great beer and wine selection. So, what are you waiting for? Make your reservations soon.. read more

This was a very unique experience and delicious steak!! Has local feel with fine dining flavor.

The steaks are beyond fantastic! Also the blackened shrimp was excellent! The sides were not of the same quality though-baked potato was cold and small, salad was from a bag it seemed. Would definitely recommend for the meat!!! read more

Very disappointed. I was shocked at the prices. First, I want to say that our server was very nice and the girls who checked on the tables were sweet. We had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our meal to come out. Someone came by and told us our order was on the grill after about 30 minutes of waiting. When the food came, I was surprised at the quality. The steaks were not seasoned at all. The au gratin potatoes were disappointing with cheese sprinkled on top of them in a bowl. The "loaded" baked potato was not even done and the toppings were all on the side. Lastly, the bread pudding was terrible! I don't know what the rum sauce was they were talking about, because it wasn't rum sauce. It was more like melted whip cream. Terrible! Oh, and the prices are ridiculous. You can pay the exact same price for a high-quality steak at a 4 star restaurant. read more

Best steak I have ever had! Service is awesome. Bread pudding is a must. The owners are amazing people.

Very good steaks. Great selection of dry aged. Be ready to wait though. My son and I waited a full hour for our steaks to arrive. Thats a bit long. Something else unusual is that they don't offer medium on their menu. Just rare, medium rare, medium well, and well done but they have a sign at every table to shame you if you order medium well or well done. Interesting. Our server was really nice but she was very neglectful with checking up on us on that hour wait. Over all I would still suggest this place read more

Maybe the best steK and food I have ever had. It's really Hard to believe it's outside Dumas in an old grocery store. It's been here since 1954. Worth the drive! read more

Wow, just wow. Not a place you are going to be driving by, so word of mouth is how I heard of it. 12 of us rented a van and went and the reviews all around were best steaks they had ever had. Wife and I had the Porterhouse for two and the flavor was really hard to describe. This is a drive there from anywhere restaurant. Make plans and go! Lots of reviews say get the cheese dip and we did. If you remember the flavor of the original Mexico Chiquito dip this is very very close. Just a little thinner, but very good. read more

Best steak I've ever had. Staff is always courteous and service is fast. Make reservations before you go. Place always is packed.

I absolutely love this place. I've been eating at Taylor's since I was a kid and they've never let me down. My Aunt Versie stayed close by when I was little and we went there often. They now know me by name. I'd give them 10 stars if it was an option. Steaks are cooked to perfection. Don't stop in Dumas without going to this place. You will thank me later!!!Staff is great!!!! read more

Little out of the way for most folks but a favorite destination for locals. Go early or make reservations before you go as they are packed every night. You have got to try the cheese dip for an appetizer!! Many steak options including both dry- and wet-aged beef. Steaks are cooked to perfection and are exactly as described in the color graphics listed at each table. Have a decent seafood offering for being so off the beaten path. Steaks are a little pricey but you have to expect that with the high demand and dry-aged beef options. I will be back! read more

Best steak I've ever had. Also love their shrimp & grits. Bread pudding is to die for!!! Taylor's is a true gem in southeast Arkansas.

My wife and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary with a meal at Taylor's and it did not disappoint. I had the dry aged bone in ribeye medium rare and my wife ordered the filet mignon rare plus. These steaks are the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure of tasting and it's not even close. The service was excellent as well. The meal is quite pricey, but worth it for the special occasion. read more

I cannot comment on their steak, but the fact that a southeast Arkansas steakhouse is this California vegetarian's favorite restaurant speaks volumes I think! I know of no other place I can go to find homemade food except my or a friend's kitchen. My dinner at Taylor's is comprised of a variety of dishes... asparagus, hush puppies, potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach, zucchini and pam makes the best bread pudding ever! They also have a good beer selection including Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a nice baguette bread and butter to munch on before dinner comes. The owners, Pam and Chuck, are Pam will make you feel at home. I make sure I get out there a couple times a year since my cravings won't let me go longer than that. read more
