Having moved to AR just a few months ago, Wifey & I were looking for a steakhouse to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary at. Steakhouses in our area had Yelp ratings that were all over the board -- including one that was just *ridiculously* overpriced -- so we picked up on a Yelp recommendation someone made to "Taylor's down in Dumas" and went with that. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: As others note, Taylor's really is in the middle of nowhere. Located in a former grocery store building, which was smaller than I was imagining. Not a "pinkie extended" atmosphere, but nice Parking is very informal; just pull up somewhere on the grass UPSIDES: We both had the wet-aged filet, medium rare, EXCELLENT The "chips with famous cheese dip" were also very good, but next time I'll try not to fill up on them Freshly-baked bread loaf provided YUMMM Excellent wait service from "Shauna" DOWNSIDES: Everything priced a la carte, but that's pretty much the steakhouse model It was a 1.5 hour drive each way for us, but (upside) we'll be back for special occasions NET-NET: Not an inexpensive meal, but still priced within reason. You're not paying extra for the "wood-paneled room" ambiance of other steakhouses. 4/5 stars, only due to the long drive. Otherwise, 5 stars!

If you have read other reviews you know others like it as well. This is the best steak in Arkansas, so if you get a chance stop here at eat! Everything from the appetizers, steaks, sides and desserts are incredible. The nicest people own this and live what they do. They even have a great beer and wine selection. So, what are you waiting for? Make your reservations soon..

Moi Birthday dinner two years in a row now…read more Moi absolutely favorite restaurant. The food is so Amazeballs. I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. Beautiful vintage space. Bar area is very nice. Service is great. Southern hospitality at its finest. Very Romantic restaurant. The Casablanca Booth at NOLA, is moi booth. "Play it again Sam" forever & ever. "la Vie en Rose" OuiOui. Highest Recommendations.

The atmosphere is nice, a little more casual than I would expect based on their menu, but not bad…read more All of the servers were very friendly. Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. She was so friendly and polite, we were a bit disappointed that we did not get her as our server.

Doe's, you were everything I'd hoped you would be…read more I love me some Doe's Eat Place. I have been to locations in Biloxi, Baton Rouge, and Monroe. Hell, I go to Doe's in Monroe every single time I am in Monroe. When I would profess my love for Doe's to my Mississippi friends they would always tell me: "you have to go to the Greenville location. It's the original". I figured they were right but also figured I would never be in Greenville since there are not many things to do there. But 2025 was the year that I finally made it here. We made a special stop on the way to Eureka Springs. It was everything I had hoped and I absolutely loved it. You must know that this is the original location and it is not fancy on the outside or the inside. Parking is mostly on the street and the neighborhood seems a wee bit sketchy. The building looks like an old house from the outside. Needless to say, the kids were skeptical and wondered why their dad drug them here. That continued when we walked in to the kitchen, walked through the other kitchen, and were seated in one of the rooms. One of the kids said: "I feel like I am dining at someone's house". Exactly. This place is famous! All skepticism was washed away when we got our food. A ribeye and fries for me and a fillet and fries for them to share. Both were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and made this Doe's fan grin from ear to ear. It was a great meal I will remember forever. Was it cheap? Definitely not. For two entrees, a beer, and a tea, it was around $200 with a tip. Was it worth it to me? Hell yes. I freakin loved it. Is it worth a drive from New Orleans just to eat here? Probably not. Should you divert a road trip to eat here? Absolutely. By the way, service was exactly as you would expect. Super friendly and we were treated like regulars despite it being our first time. Also, there was a cop working outside so don't be scared.
