I adopted my dog from this rescue. I fostered her initially and we found out that she had leg-calve-perthes and needed hip surgery. They organized a fundraiser and we were able to get the surgery done! They were a great rescue and I am so happy we were able to give our dog her forever home. read more

This place is a complete joke . In My opinion they're not a rescue .Tiny Paws support sthe puppy mills because they buy the dogs from them and then put them up for adoption from what I understand. I do know for a fact. I do know for a fact that my niece got a dog from one of the fosters And shortly after She brings the dog to my own vet and paid more money than most people make in a month already just to keep the dog live for as long as I can . If anybody wants to research this anymore because I've had it I've put way too much Time into researching this company in order to report them to the proper authorities ask them for their license and they will give you one out of Illinois when they are actually in Union grove Wisconsin.. She says that she rescues these from the Amish community but from what I've been told she actually buys them from the Amish For next to nothing and then sells them through a foster for what I have seen between $400.00and $600. No I have personally not witnessed this but she also didn't deny it. She does not reimburse the fosters for food that they purchase at least I know of one personally. she did not Reimbursed one single penny. And that's just not fair because of the amount of money she's taking in for these puppies but he has no responsibility financially for them she just puts it on somebody else and then treat some terrible. We adopted our new furry family member,Toby, today. The whole process was very easy and Carol, his foster was incredible to work with. I emailed her Friday about his availability and she responded right away. After filling out the application, she called the next day. We had a wonderful chat and she was very honest about what he needed (being a former puppy mill dog). After references and a video house check we're completed, we planned to meet. Absolutely devastated. I was told I could adopt a beautiful baby beagle. Jennifer the foster mom called me and gave me the awsome news ..we got on well and talked and I was over the moon! I asked if I could visit Tues and Pick up on Friday night so I'd have time to take off a week of work to get him settled in his new home. She loved that. Didn't even ask about the deposit I offered. Said she wants him to have a great transition since she couldn't keep him due to having other dogs. I kept in touch with her and Vic from the shelter and prepared my house for the new pup. Come to Monday and suddenly Jeffery's sister has Parvo and it's a deadly virus that usually kills puppies. So if he has it the shelter will not adopt out. I told her please keep me updated if he can make it though please keep me as his person. I started researching parvo and lifespan and everything ...I was freaking out...Jennifer gave me her apologies and reassured me that he would be mine as long as he didn't have it..I called her from work and she sounded genuinely upset about the situation and how she liked me. Then said she wanted a house video since she didn't visit my home. But that it should be ready so we can continue as planned once he's checked out and cleared. So I kept my hope up and sent her one after work. She said she got it and it was all good. I spent my night a total mess and was soo anxious for Jeffery. Tues morning I got a text saying Jeffery has it and they will not adopt him out but that she would be keeping him. I thanked her like an idiot...later I reached out to Vicki to fill her in and she had NO clue. A few hours later Vic calls and says Jeffery does NOT have Parvo. She just changed her mind and wants to keep him. So sorry but now he is her dog. I told Vic everything and she just denied it saying well I wouldn't call Jennifer a liar...does the pup have parvo? No? Then she is LIAR. I told her I would send her the messages and she didn't care. Said Jennifer was a 1st time foster and it happens. She s leaning..to be a liar 100% Then got super defensive about the shelter and how it's not their fault and they don't want a bad reputation. So I asked will she be allowed to foster again? Vic said oh well not right now since she has a puppy...yea Vic MY PUPPY! I reached out to Jennifer and she apologized. Basically because she got caught. If I didn't reach out to Vic I would have never known. And it didn't really help because she was super indifferent. I'm going to post at least the written messages i exchanged with her..and the super sick concerned voicemail of impending puppy death she left me. Don't adopt from this rescue! They are horrible human beings! They told me I had a week trial made me meet at a gas station for the adoption so my dog and the new one didn't even have a change to meet. When I said it wouldn't work. They started to bash me on their Facebook page. Go to JRs pups and stuff in Wisconsin. They are so much better and make sure all the pups get the right match. They posted this about me on Facebook "INFORMATION WHEN ADOPTING A DOG!!!!!! It takes time for your new pup to adjust to a new environment. It takes time for the dogs already in your home to adjust to a new family member. It takes days for everyone to understand this pup is not going anywhere so we need to adjust to make this work. Rescues and fosters do their best to place dogs in the right environment. We go above and beyond to assure a home is a good fit. We are heartbroken when they leave, but to best of our knowledge, believe we have found a perfect fit. What frustrates us the most is receiving text just hours after your new pup is in your home. Coming up with every excuse in the world on why this dog is not working out. ALLERGIES? The application specifically ask if anyone in your home has allergies? Your dog not getting along with your new baby. Probably because your dog, at this point, does not like to share attention. This to will pass in time. Here is a little tip on what NOT to do!!!!!!! Don't contact the foster or rescue blaming them. Don't use any little piece of nothingness to bash the people that just bent over backwards to make this adoption happen. Be true to your self admit your shortcomings. You can not do this! This isn't how you imagined it would be. Even if it is only a few short hours you have given this sweet soul a chance. When you submit an application, you are in this for life, NOT just a few short hours of theirs" My response "I don't appreciate being bashed on Facebook... I'm allergic to CERTAIN breeds. I'm highly allergic to pugs but fine with huskys. I can't control that! My dog is my main priority. Maybe have people with other dogs meet at a place where they can actually play and not a gas station. You also failed to tell me about his marking until I drove an hour and a half to get him! I changed MY schedule to meet you because you were already meeting someone in the SAME place we met. Here's a tip for you! Learn from JRs rescue and have meets somewhere the dogs can play. I would have drove further to meet at a park. Have multiple families meet the dog and then let them make the decision. Don't just adopt as a first come first serve! If there was a option for no stars believe me that's exactly what they wouldve got, so I am a new foster home for this rescue there were a litter of 4 chi mix puppies, I was fostering 2 after a week of having these puppies I was informed this litter had been brought to me with "parvo", not only did I give all of my tinder to these pups and nursing the soul survivor back to health I was told that me nor my son could adopt this pup because she already had a guy that wanted one of the other pups but since only 1 survived she was going to give it to the adoptee that originally wanted his brother, this pup is attached to me, my hubby, my kids and my other pets, this company is so heartless and all about the money! Upon reading reviews I now know I'm not first this has happened to, they are literally breaking my heart and this poor sick puppy who's going to be ripped from the only family hes known to give to the stranger with the fat check! I'm disgusted by this situation and would advise against ever using this company, history speaks for itself just read some of the other reviews..... If anyone is looking for a dog, I would strongly recommend not using this place. Once you give them any information about you and fill out their application, they will never return your phone call, and they make up wrong information about you and bad stuff. I don't know why they do it, just to get your hopes up about a dog you fell in love with and then they say well your references didn't go through or some other BS...Some people are just cruel and this place is one of them. I was caring for two dogs a friend could no longer take of and immediately after calling tiny paws they were helping me. Both dogs will be adopted out soon. I was wanting to adopt a boxer. I contacted the foster mom and we made a date for me to meet the boxer. It was a week out because the foster mom was not available the upcoming weekend. There was no one so far interested. She said she could make herself available either 4 or 5 pm on Sunday on this upcoming Sunday. She would come home early. I lived 3 hours away and told her I wanted to have at least a day with the dog to help get him settled with my other dogs. And coming at 4 or 5 PM would be way to late for me getting home since I live 3 hours away. So I filled out the application she was going to do my references right away. Then I get a text on Monday to tell me she adopted the dog out to a family. WHAT!!! She texted me they don't hold the dogs. We talked for as least 20 minutes about the dog I was interested in and not once did she tell me this. It was this organization fault I could not meet the dog. She disrespected me by not keeping our commitment to meeting the dog the next week. I feel this is so inappropriate of this organization and disrespectful to someone who wanted to adopt a dog. I will never consider this organization again. I have adopted dogs before and the other organization kept their commitment on the appointments and did a meet and greet with the dogs to make sure they got along. This organization doesn't do that either. So if you want to adopt this dog get there as fast as you can because they will screw you over. I don't think adopting the dogs out as fast as you can instead of adopting out to the people who are the best fit is the best way to run an organization. I feel sorry for these animals because if it is a turnaround as fast as they can, one day it will be the wrong decision for the dog and the dog could suffer. This place is shady af. Went to pick up our puppy from the "foster" and it looked like we pulled up to a garbage dump puppy mill. The outside had dog carriers all over the yard, a bunch of creepy sheds with tarps over them and one very suspicious fenced area that connected to the garage/house. There was a refrigerator laying out in the lawn broken down cars everywhere.My parents wanted to leave right then but I wanted to see the conditions inside and investigate what was going on inside. When we knocked on the door a haggered lady with a nasty stained shirt on answered the door she was confused when we said we were there for roo. She pulled the door behind her so we couldn't see in. she told us we had the wrong day. Which we didn't.. we were going to leave and she must have decided she didn't want to lose the $$$ so she let us come in. When we stepped in you instantly were punched in the face with the smell of urine and feces,it was appalling. There were dogs in tiny cages in the living room. A husky jammed in a tiny cage that was barely big enough to lay down. Dogs barking all over the place so who knows how many were on that property.The lady was so nervous and mumbling trying to clean things up. She made her way down to the lower level to get the puppy while saying how dirty the dog is gonna be cause she didn't get groomed yet. Wtf? Why would the puppy be dirty you ask?? Well I followed her and peeked down the stairway because I needed to c wtf was going on is this shit hole. I was shocked and saddened to see puppies in a cage that's floor was completely covered in dog shit and urine soaked newspapers. Like not a few poops like days worth of feces( explains the horrific smell). When she handed me the dog it was trembling I set her down and she could barely walk you could tell by her behavior that she hadn't been upstairs before. I started questioning the lady on the medical care. Supposedly the puppies went to the vet the day before we arrived but while talking to her she flubbed her stories and all of a sudden the puppies didn't have their shots but she said she was going to give their shots to them today. Huh??? Why didn't the vet do it yesterday? Why would the foster mom have distemper shots?? They clearly did not visit the vet and they didn't have medical disclosure forms or microchips. I asked to go see the other puppies because I wanted to get a closer look and snap a few pics of the conditions but she stopped me and said they were all taken already. Not true some of them are still listed on the site for adoption. She just didn't want me to go down there. Although we wanted to rescue roo from that disgusting home and human being "caring" for her We couldn't give money to a puppy mill or a person that keeps animals in such a poor condition. We left without her:( we talked with the rescue contact and she defended the lay saying she has fostered 100s of litters for them,yea that's called a puppy mill! After asking her 3 times if she ever visited the site she finally answers with a no I told her visit before she keeps defending such a disgusting person. Working with animals and spending the last 2 years of my life advocating for animals I knew places like this existed in the world but my mom was lucky enough to have not seen the horrors I have until then. She lost sleep for a few night after. I'm not saying the whole rescue is shit but for them to not keep tabs on or do full inspections of fosters shame on them. Take your money elsewhere. We adopted my first Yorkie in January 2014 from Tiny Paws and he had some serious behavioral issues. What I appreciated most was their honesty. I thought twice but my son felt really sorry for him and wanted him to come home with us to be loved. We were really afraid of this dog for about two weeks (he pig snorted during his walks, snored loudly when asleep, growled whenever we picked him up). I finally realized that I was the Alpha in the house. Once the dynamic changed and our patience grew, the situation changed dramatically. Couldn't be happier that his part of our family and can't imagine him not being with us. A few months ago I was browsing the site and came across a really sad looking Yorkie. I called to inquire and was immediately contacted by Tiny Paws. Again, they were 100% honest about his situation/condition. Always one for a challenge, he was in our home by the end of the weekend. Again, we couldn't be happier to have him. His condition has improved and he is no longer on medication. He had house training issues because he doesn't bark to go outside like our other one does so we have to constantly watch for the signs. When the larger Yorkie asks to go outside, they both go. When the little one has to go outside, they both go. Often one is just standing by the door wondering "why did I get put out", but it's worth it for a clean house. When we are not home he is crated for safety because he is much smaller than our other Yorkie. He holds his business until we come home and we let him out immediately. I cannot say enough good things about this rescue and the follow up with the director was spot on. She is very lovely to work with, honest and friendly. I would DEFINITELY work with this rescue again and I highly recommend. read more
