She told us she was going to breed one of her females with a flame male, but that never happened. All this time later I get an email saying one of her females, a tortie, had a litter and that she wanted $250 (non-refundable deposit) immediately. I told her I wasn't exactly ready to pay her the deposit and that I wanted to come by again to see the babies. Then she responds 2 minutes later, saying: ---Felicia, The kittens are only 1 week old. No one comes over until they are around 6 weeks old. Other breeders want deposits before the kittens are even born and the deposits are non refundable. I dont do that, but I do expect deposits once the kittens are born. I explained that to you over the phone when we first spoke and it was also in the email I originally sent to you. I no longer feel comfortable with you adopting a kitten from me, so you are free to go to another breeder. If you go to www.rfci.org you will find other breeders listed by state. There was no way the 2 of them could be left unsupervised while I was at work so I needed a daycare for the new dog to play while my older dog recovered. I called Zach and and he was happy to help. He is very reasonably priced and located right off the highway so getting back on the road to work is no big deal. He took care of my dog every work day for almost a month and each day, my high energy dog came home tired from playing. After my other dog was healed up I decided to keep bringing her one day a week because she loved it so much! It's great for her socializing with other dogs and he takes great care of her. I like taking her here because it's not a big chain doggy daycare. Zach is like her second family. He isnt just boarding my dog during the day, hes caring for her and interacting with her like she were his own dog.

They just have a small waiting room and a lot of people getting their pets immunized. You may have to wait about 10 minutes longer than your appointment and that is nothing. They are fast, efficient and absolutely amazing to work with. Even when you have a big, big dog that is the biggest baby. So what are you waiting for, go make your appointment. It is easy and so worth it and it saves you money.

The dog desperately needs to be spayed, so I have followed the protocol online to get an appointment. I gotten online the second spay appointments open on the first of every month. I've been doing it for three months with no success. This month, I actually got through the appointment process and found an open spot. YAY!! But when I got to the last step, their webpage glitched, as it often does, and I had to start over. So, I'm that apparent 30 second timeframe, there were no more appointments left, including the one I had just tried to reserve. I immediately called and left a message, hoping they could help and the message I got was basically, "too bad so sad, have a better day." As a public service that purports to want to help manage the stray population, and care for animals, their policies and lack of willingness to help seems a lot more likely to lead to a box of unwanted puppies being left at their doorstep than anything else. We will likely help our daughter figure it out, but many are not in the position to do that. I have seen groomers groom Giant Schnauzers to resemble features much like miniature schnauzer & that would be the last thing I would ever want for our girl! It always starts with the phone call... does the business actually even pick up a phone call or do they let it roll over to voicemail? How does the person on the other line sound? Do they sound cheerful? Do they sound like you're inconveniencing them? I am here to tell you that when Scarlett ANSWERED the phone, she was cheerful, kind & most of all helpful! (I called three other groomers in the Kenosha area and not one of those businesses picked up and they all rolled over to voicemail.) My first question to Scarlett was, "Do you have a groomer who is experienced with Giant Schnauzer's?" Her reply was an emphatic, YES! We met with our groomer & she was a great listener, she gave me tremendous confidence in her technical grooming abilities & she was very kind. Strudel had her big appointment today & since this was her first time at this particular grooming salon they really take their time getting to know your dog! (The first visit is usually between 3 to 4 hours.) When we picked her up, Strudel looked OUTSTANDING! Our experience groomer did an absolute terrific job! I would HIGHLY recommend her for any breed of dog! When we picked up Strudel, there was a stunning golden retriever that had just been groomed as well! There was also a black lab that looked equally as wonderful and happy! 5 GOLD STARS for the fantastic groomer at Urban Tail's!
