It was stated that the paw pads were shaved. Then the sanitary area it was not. To be honest he didn't even smell good. Puppies are a challenge I get that. This visit was inappropriate. I was so hoping I was going to enjoy your work. I have since gotten him groomed elsewhere they did an awesome job. I just can't recommend your business and I won't be returning.

We have gone their before with 2 dogs and both times there was a run around about not having one of our dog's vet information (when clearly they had it because they would have not performed any past services if they had not) and very quick to tell us than we need to cancel the upcoming appt. without wanting giving us a chance to call back with the update information required. When I called back to let to ask them what their email address was so that I could resend it (again) and asked them to have their paperwork updated so we wouldn't continue the same issues, they got very defensive saying that it was me who was rude. The conversation did escalate and I am so happy that we are now going to another place. As much as we would like to support small businesses, the downside is this place feels like they can treat people anyway they like. My mother says the older lady is nice, but the young one who I had the displeasure of speaking too is very snotty! It's a shame the dog in question has been there at least twice within one year and they give us a hard time each time because they for whatever reason are not up to date with how they file their records. Bottomline there are too many groomers out there and in MY past experience I have always had a great experience with groomers, pet lovers are usually so nice....oh well this is on them for me writing this review. WARNING FOR ANYONE USING HOMETOWN VET SERVICES FOR INTERNATIONAL PET TRAVEL…read more I strongly urge anyone planning international travel with their pets to carefully consider our experience before relying on Hometown Vet Services for time-sensitive international travel documentation. We brought our dog, Rayna, and our cat, Myah, to Hometown Vet Services on Monday specifically to prepare them for our move to Thailand. We clearly explained that we were departing the following Wednesday and that the international health documentation had to be completed, endorsed by USDA APHIS, returned to us, and then submitted to Thailand before our departure. TIME WAS CRITICAL, AND THEY KNEW IT. Despite this, our paperwork was not submitted to USDA APHIS until Thursday. During this process, it also appeared that staff did not initially understand that USDA APHIS endorsement was required. I had to bring the requirement to their attention. Had they simply told us on Monday that they were unfamiliar with the process or could not meet our deadline, we could have immediately gone to another USDA-accredited veterinarian. Instead, we trusted them. We paid Hometown Vet Services $365.10 for the examination, medication, and services connected with this process. We also had to pay another veterinary clinic $15 to obtain rabies tag information needed for the documentation. But the financial loss isn't what hurts the most. Because of the delay, the documentation will not be available in sufficient time for us to complete Thailand's remaining requirements before our departure. We have already had to find another home for our cat, Myah. We are now desperately trying to find a safe home for Rayna because I refuse to simply return her to a shelter. OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN BROKEN UP. These aren't pieces of luggage that can simply be put on another flight. These are living animals whom we love and planned to take halfway around the world with us. We planned ahead. We scheduled the appointment in advance. We explained our international destination. We provided our departure date. We explained the deadline. If Hometown Vet Services could not properly complete this process within the required timeline, all they had to do was tell us. We would have gone elsewhere. Based upon our experience, I would NEVER rely on Hometown Vet Services for time-sensitive international pet travel documentation. If you're traveling internationally with your animals, please make sure your veterinarian fully understands the USDA APHIS process, your destination country's requirements, document-validity periods, and expedited return procedures BEFORE you entrust them with your pet's travel documentation. I wish someone had warned us.
