A maintenance worker damaged my property and lied to me and to his supervisor about it. This…read morecompany barely acknowledged it. When I moved into one of their apartments, I was verbally informed that there was pre-existing damage to the bathtub paint/enamel, as well as the garbage disposal, and that maintenance was queued up to fix it. I documented it anyway to protect myself against any damage accusations to protect my security deposit. Three months later, no maintenance was ever done, so I opened a ticket. I did not complain or ask for expedited service or any sort of special treatment. I simply pointed out what was needed. The next day, maintenance came while I was at work (which I agreed to, stupidly, but I live alone and had to work). When I arrived home, there was a single couch cushion randomly flipped over along with a bunched up throw blanket and a dark spot on the top couch cushion. When I flipped the cushion over, the couch cushion was soaked through and visibly wet with urine. It is obvious that the maintenance worker brought a pet with him while he was working (despite a building-wide no pet policy being enforced on the lease). I really hope it was a pet... It's a little gross, but I honestly barely care about that. The maintenance worker lied to me about it, lied to his supervisor about it when I asked if anything was reported, and the supervisor lied to me to protect him, and I'm incredibly insulted they simply flipped my couch cushion over hoping I wouldn't notice, instead of acknowledging it or even attempting to clean it. After a back and forth between myself and his supervisor, they finally agreed to pay to clean the couch... That's it. No apology for the days of lies and back and forth, no apology for them situationally applying their own rules and terms of lease, no apology for them essentially allowing and supporting someone to come into my home and destroy my property. My own rent payments were being used to pay the salary of someone who damaged my property and lied about it. Disgusting. To seal the deal, he did not even do a good job repairing my bathtub. It is already chipping where he repaired it... again.

To start, we initiated the process with Brad R, Who is based out of the San Marcos office. We at the time were in Orange county so we had the luxury of viewing several models at that location, and then worked with Brad on customizations and upgrades. Brad was nothing short of amazing! He stayed in constant contact through out the sales process which consisted of many many questions(if he didn't have the answer, he got it), and various changes to plan. We ultimately landed on a Cavco Durango model that consisted of 2 bedrooms but allowed to have both a front porch and back patio deck. Brad continued to work with us extensively on the precise location of the home on our lot, which then allowed us to include a 2 car garage! As with any major project like this it wasn't without its issues and moments of stress. That said everyone involved from WMH handled them all . Patio furniture was extremely dirty with moldy cushions, a toilet brush was left on the primary bedroom patio, the BBQ was filthy with only two burners working, and the backyard was dirty enough that we had to clean it ourselves. Inside, the home was not properly cleaned. We found mouse traps with bait in a kitchen drawer, dirty rugs, mold in the shower, loose toilet seats, several TVs that did not work, and sticky, deteriorating remotes. The couch was covered and visibly filthy, more like dorm furniture than a luxury rental. The pool table netting was ripped so balls fell to the floor, sports balls were flat, and a rusted outdoor table stained my husband's jacket. After checkout, the property manager called once, said he would follow up, then stopped responding. When a property is advertised as luxury, guests should not have to clean or deal with broken amenities while on vacation. This was not close to the standard promised.
